Key tasks will include, facilitating our academic representation structures, collaborating with schools and colleges, delivering training and events, writing papers, and supporting student feedback.
The role involves significant partnership working with students, academic representatives, our full-time officers, various teams in Arts SU and University of the Arts London. You’ll work closely with teams overseeing Democracy and Influencing, Student Communities and Advice.

Job Context
YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA England & Wales is able to mobilise the public, our federation, external organisations and young people to support our campaigns calling for political or social changes to improve the lives of young people across the country. This will include building relationships with local YMCAs and young people to ensure our work is informed and driven by those we represent, creating advocacy actions for them and the public to engage with and giving our young people a platform for their voices to be heard.
Scope and Limits of Authority:
The Campaigns Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no line management or formal budgetary responsibilities.
The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct. In addition all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.

Areas of responsibility
● Contribute to the development of YMCA England & Wales’ national campaigns strategies.
● Project manage and deliver the public mobilisation elements of our campaigns and influencing strategies.
● Create online actions to support the campaign strategy on Engaging Networks, our advocacy software, from petitions to emails to MP.
● Lead the content and development of our online campaigns community, ensuring that they are active and engaged on the issues we are working on.

● Manage the production process of campaign materials from copywriting and design to printing and delivery.
● Engage with local YMCAs to ensure that they are active in supporting our campaigns.

The post holder will undertake ecological survey and management planning work to underpin the protection of local wildlife of great value to people, communities and organisations across our region.

St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, and became the first hospice of the modern hospice movement. We provide invaluable care and support to over 7,500 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
The fundraising team generates more than £10m every year, around half of which comes through gifts left to the charity as legacies. We organise a programme of appeals, campaigns and events, administer our own lottery, make applications to charitable foundations, engage with local business and support individuals who give in-memory of a loved one. This is delivered by a strong employed fundraising team, supported by a number of wonderful volunteers.
Your new role
We need a dynamic, innovative and driven lottery administrator curious about data, and passionate about using data to solve problems. You will have an excellent knowledge of relational databases and be experienced in importing, selecting, analysing and validating large data sets.
Responsible for all administration of the St Christopher’s monthly lottery, you will help grow our lottery donors with accurate and efficient data entry and timely report production. Working with the Individual Giving Manager you will ensure full compliance with all Gambling Commission and other regulatory regulations.
This is an exciting time to join as you will have the opportunity to work with the wider teams to build supporter journeys to create long-term loyal supporters.
You will be a member of the Individual Giving team focusing on lottery, direct mail, committed giving and in memory donations. You’ll work closely with the wider fundraising, communications and retail teams to ensure supporter engagement is first class at all levels
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:
- To help us grow our lottery income from £.5m to £1m, using multiple channels: face to face, telemarketing, direct mail, email and paid social.
- Work with colleagues across the fundraising team to support the development of an excellent stewardship strategy, to grow the number of regular donors and lottery players.
- To provide excellent support care to all our donors using the appropriate method of communication and in accordance with their wishes.

We are looking for an experienced administrator, capable of demonstrating great time management and with a strong team working ethic, someone who is willing to take the initiative. The Food Policy Officer role:
As our Food Policy Officer, you will support the charity’s activities in relation to food policy and information with a focus on maintaining Coeliac UK’s food standards and food information
Key responsibilities of the Food Policy Officer:
- Monitoring Coeliac UK’s gluten free catering accreditation scheme including reviewing audit reports, feedback and corrective actions. To ensure menus and documentation are in line with Coeliac UK guidance.
- Working alongside the commercial team to assist caterers in their preparation for Coeliac UK’s gluten free accreditation scheme

Context
Through our flagship annual report and Gender and Health Index, GH5050 provides the only bird’s-eye view of gender, inclusion and equality in the global health sector today. The report assesses 200 organisations annually across a core set of variables on policies and practices to tackle power and privilege imbalances within the workplace, the gender and geography of organisational leadership, and whether gender is considered in any organisations' external-facing programmatic or policy work. Working with research and advocacy partners, supported by an advisory group, gender and health experts and a team of research consultants, GH5050 leverages the research data and evidence to engage with the assessed organisations directly.
Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the world’s leading research and accountability initiatives for gender equality. You will join a small and growing team of staff working at GH5050, taking responsibility for the Global Health workstream. The role will involve project design and management, conducting research and policy analysis, maintaining strong working relationships with partner organisations as well as with other GH5050 staff, dissemination, engagement and impact. These responsibilities will be exercised at global and in partnership at country levels. The post holder will take a leading responsibility for the management of research consultants contributing to the health workstream with the support of the Head of Research & Impact.

Role Responsibilities

Project design and management: Project manage the full process of producing the GH5050 Global Health reports, policy briefs, case studies of organisational change, and a range of outputs tailored to meet the goals of the GH5050 Strategy. Ensure the timely delivery of quality, validated outputs, including on statistical analysis, writing, data validation, data visualisation, graphic design and layout, and the production of dissemination and communications materials.

Stakeholder management: Be a trusted first point of contact for organisations who are reviewed as part of the GH5050 report. Support and engage the Health Advisory Council to optimise its value add. Ensure that the Head of Research and Impact, and other members of the leadership team as needed, is engaged at critical points in the research process, including the development of new indicators, the interpretation of the data and findings generation.

Report production: Prepare drafts of reports including in collaboration with professional writers when appropriate, to identify the key messages and key findings, data visualisations, background and other written contributions, such as forewords and quotes. Liaise with web designers, who will build data validation platforms and a new website to host the reports, and report design teams.

Partnership building and management: Be responsible for ensuring a productive and equitable relationship with research and partners, and advisory/expert groups. Prepare reports for Trustees and funders.

High-impact communication and dissemination: Work closely with the GH5050 communications lead as well as an external communications partner(s) to develop strategic communication and dissemination strategies for these research outputs. This includes preparing compelling key findings and messages from report research and developing a range of additional communications outputs for key stakeholders including launch events, presentations, policy briefs, op-eds and papers for peer-reviewed publications and ensuring the delivery of public events and launches.

About the role
The Head of Policy and Humanitarian Affairs manages a small, dynamic team based in London, who work with colleagues across the delegation and around the world to support its main objectives: (i) to contribute towards enabling ICRC action to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence; (ii) to influence the debate and secure improved decision-making on issues relevant to conflict, humanitarian action and international humanitarian law.
Reporting to, and working as adviser to, the ICRC Head (and Deputy Head) of Delegation, the Head of Policy and Humanitarian Affairs develops and oversees the implementation of the delegation’s policy and humanitarian diplomacy strategy in the UK, ensuring it is in line with the ICRC’s overall strategy. They are a member of ICRC’s global network of policy and humanitarian advisors, interacting regularly with the Policy and Humanitarian Diplomacy Divisions/Units at headquarters as well as with delegations around the world, supporting ICRC’s humanitarian diplomacy and policy dialogue. This is a role which requires working collaboratively and at pace on a wide range of issues relevant to the mandate of the ICRC and its global operations.
The Head of Policy and Humanitarian Affairs works closely with the British Red Cross ensuring optimal impact of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement’s policy and humanitarian diplomacy objectives.
This is an outward facing job, representing the ICRC at public events, with UK Government, Parliament and the wider humanitarian sector.

- Master’s degree in a relevant subject;

Further Details
This post is part of a job share and will be offered as part-time (21 hours/ 3 days per week) resident appointment based in our London office. Ealing and Hounslow Community Voluntary Service (EHCVS) is a registered local charity with over 30 years of experience supporting voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups in Ealing and, since 2012, in Hounslow. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for less advantaged individuals by empowering local charities and volunteer organisations.
In this rapidly changing world where our sector continues to face many challenges and take on new opportunities, it is highly appropriate that Ealing CVS undertake reviewing and planning for the next three years. Consulting with our stakeholders has been a refreshing process. It has allowed us to study how well we delivered our core themes developing, connecting, representing, and innovating with the third sector in Ealing and Hounslow - and to establish new and more relevant work themes for future delivery.
Ealing CVS is a second-tier organisation that works with local charities and voluntary organisations in Ealing and Hounslow. Its overall aim is to provide a professional and effective service to local voluntary organisations through assistance, forming consortia, and bidding for major tranches of funding aimed at improving the lives of the local communities.
This is an entry level role with training provided.
Role Overview:

Provide infrastructure support to local voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups and social enterprises.

Engage in one-on-one and outreach meetings to better support community needs.

Develop and manage VCSE networks focusing on key themes like Children, Families, and Young People, Health and Wellbeing, Digital Isolation, and Safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed work plans for the development and funding advice service.

Assist VCS organisations with monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating their impact.

Provide guidance on funding streams, review proposals, and offer feedback.

Advise on legal structures, policies, and charity registration processes.

Planned and delivered training programs in collaboration with EHCVS staff or external trainers.

Promote best practices and support the development of business plans, fundraising strategies, and quality assurance policies.
