About you

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and organised Trust Fundraiser with outstanding written communication skills to join our friendly, hard-working, and ambitious Major Giving Team.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing relationships, reporting, and application cycles for Trusts and Foundations
• Leading on our prospect research programme to identify new funding sources
• Working closely with colleagues in the programme team to identify projects suitable for prospective funders.
• Using our database of potential donors, write quality and compelling proposals to attract new and significant sources of funding.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, meeting notes and project restrictions on World Jewish Relief’s database (Raiser’s Edge).

You should have:

• Proven track record of fundraising within a trusts, statutory, or a grants role, or other relationship management/business development positions
• Experience of researching and developing proposals for funders, clients, or other stakeholders
• Experience of building both narrative and financial reports for funders, clients, or other stakeholders
• Highly developed writing skills – the ability to write compelling and accessible proposals, reports and appeals

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The Research Officer will report into the Head of Research and provide a wide and extensive range of administrative support to the charity’s research grant programme. This includes supporting and taking responsibility of aspects of the grant review process, maintaining grant records and organising meetings. The post holder will liaise with bowel cancer researchers and clinicians and our research committee members. The post holder will need to be a team player with excellent communication and people skills and must be proactive, resilient, and capable of organising and managing a varied workload.  We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, someone who is passionate about science and ideally with some experience of grant administration.

The role:

• Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd monthly management accounts.
• Provide support and advice to budget holders to aid budgetary understanding and ownership.
• Proactively work to improve finance processes, including developing budget management processes.
• Assist the Head of Finance in the efficient and timely preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd annual accounts production and the conduct of the annual audit.
• Represent the team at a senior level including providing financial advice to the organisation.
• Share leadership responsibilities for the team with the Head of Finance. Provide expertise, insights, financial advice and problem solving as necessary.
• Assist the Head of Finance with improving VAT reporting, compliance, analysis and organisational understanding.

• Lead and develop the Senior Finance officer who reports directly to you.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
• Have substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Be a self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative
• Have proven experience of delivering a business partnering focussed service and providing in depth insight, analysis and guidance to budget-holders.
• Support and believe in the aims of Greenpeace.
• Have highly developed communication skills with credibility to operate outside the finance function up to senior management level.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Chelmsford. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. Parkinson’s UK works with health and social care professionals to transform Parkinson’s services across the UK.

We do this through the Parkinson’s Excellence Network (PEN), a network of around 6,000 health and care professionals with a shared vision: to build an expert Parkinson’s workforce and improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

We bring together and support health and care professionals to share best practice, network and collaborate, share resources and education, and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.

Since its establishment in 2015, the Excellence Network has provided networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals across the different regions of the UK. In England, the Excellence Network is moving to a new regional model aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. The regional model in the devolved nations will remain the same: 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 in Northern Ireland.

To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for a healthcare professional to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

What will be expected of you in this role

You’ll:

• Be expected to co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.

• Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services across your region.
• Act as a professional ambassador for the Excellence Network and help represent the professionals in your region.
• Engage with Integrated Care Board (ICB) leaders to help influence the development of your Integrated Care System (ICS).
• Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working with the team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year.
• Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting.
• Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.
• Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year.

What expertise you’ll bring

You’ll:

• Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with extensive interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.
• Have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

What you can expect from Parkinson’s UK

You’ll:

• Be formally welcomed and introduced to the Excellence Network and your role as a regional clinical lead.
• Be provided with an introduction pack, which outlines all the activities of the PEN at a national, regional and local level, so that you can gain an understanding of where your role fits in.
• Meet regularly with the Professional Engagement team to discuss and plan activity in your region, working to a co-developed engagement plan for your PEN region. We will be flexible, taking into account your individual needs.
• Meet with the Professional Engagement Lead or Associate Director of Policy & Health Strategy after 6 months in the role for a review meeting and then annually thereafter (or more frequently if required).
• Be provided with a set of resources and information to support you in your role eg. a ready made presentation on the PEN, data from the services within your patch, including relevant data from the UK Parkinson’s Audit.
• Be invited to an annual event for the National and Regional Clinical Leads, to provide updates, training and opportunities for discussion.

A bit more about the opportunity

• Time commitment will be 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
• Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.
• Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.

The Arboretum is looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance operative to join an established Grounds Team to assist in the continued maintenance, conservation, and development of the 150-acre site.

The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion.

Reporting to the Grounds and Landscape Supervisor, key responsibilities include:

- To carry out the maintenance, conservation, and practical management of all areas of horticultural interest to the highest standard throughout the year
- Undertake practical gardening and maintenance tasks such as mowing, strimming, planting, pruning, and weeding.
- Use of all types of handheld and ride on machinery, to facilitate the grounds maintenance of all areas throughout the year.
- To support volunteers in supporting the horticultural management of the Arboretum to deliver appropriate projects and maintenance, including attending the NMA’s working weekend.
- Ensure that exemplary standards of horticultural and arboricultural husbandry and plantsman ship are maintained at all times.

About the role:

This role is co-located within Charing Cross Hospital 4 days per week and 1 day per week at our office near Old Street. As an IDVA you will:

• implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
• provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
• work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
• run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital

About the role:

This role is based in Suffolk, as a Case Manager you will be:

Providing a high quality, end-to-end support service to the most vulnerable victims of complex crimes. To act as the single point of contact for victims through the criminal justice and recovery process, delivering support and interventions where required, acting as an advocate on behalf of the victim and coordinating the support services required by external agencies

You will need:

• Experience of delivering high quality services to vulnerable victims of crime.
• A good knowledge of the Criminal Justice System.
• Experience of Multi-agency working.
• Good IT skills and experience of using case management systems.
• Good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and the relevant policies.
• Strong communication and listening skills with an ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to prioritise, plan and manage time effectively.
• Experience of delivering a service and working with victim's/service users.

About the role:
As the CYP Caseworker, you will provide advocacy and support to children and young people affected by the impact of crime. This casework will often also involve supporting parents or guardians.
You will work with children and young people who have experienced or witnessed crime and you will be the single point of contact for them.
You will work with other agencies to provide a service that supports the individual through the criminal justice system, or works with them whether they decide to report the crime or not.
As a Caseworker, you will;

receive incoming referrals from a range of sources including the police, other agencies and individuals themselves
assess needs and risks, and agree action plans
work on our case management system to update case notes, manage and record information
give up to date and consistent information about the criminal justice system process
liaise with other agencies where required to provide advocacy for the service user, work in a multi-agency set up, give and receive information with consent
support the child or young person and their wider family
work with criminal justice system agencies to ensure a trauma informed and victim friendly response
promote the service at events and meetings where directed or required
work with the wider ABC team
ensure that you are aware of and up to date with safeguarding and data policy and processes and able to identify where there are risks

You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people in a trauma informed way and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

Whilst the role is homebased, we offer an outreach and face to face service with the Caseworker being required to travel within Humberside to respond to victim need and service requirements. For this reason, you need to live within Humberside, or a reasonable distance of Humberside, to allow you to fulfil the needs of our service and victims.
You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.
