TACT South West are looking for a children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people across this TACT region. 

The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young  people who have experienced significant traumas as a result of adverse childhood experiences. We welcome applications from all genders and backgrounds, we particularly encourage male applicants in recognition of the needs of the children being supported by this role. The successful candidate will be working with children and teenage boys from non-UK displaced and refugee communities, some originating from Afghanistan for example.  There will be a range of opportunities for training and development for this role, as new workers join us on our organisation wide journey to become a fully trauma-informed organisation.

Key duties and abilities for our Children's Resource Worker will include:

• Ability to work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people
• Supporting interventions and activities to ensure stable placement arrangements
• Ability to transport children and young people to events, appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed)
• Occasional participation in virtual and face to face events and occasional residential meet ups
• Ability to attend and assist with organising events and activities
• Understanding and maintaining knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures

Severn Wye is looking for a caring, confident individual to support people facing fuel poverty and champion energy efficiency.

This role is at the forefront of what we do as an organisation. You will be working across Gloucestershire or Heerfordshire or South Gloucestershire , visiting people in their own homes and giving advice at community events.

This role is home-based but requires extensive travel within the area. It can be either full or part time.

As a Community-based Energy Adviser, you will focus on supporting and educating individuals and families who face barriers to accessing energy services and may be in fuel poverty. You will be working with people in their homes or advising them at events in their local community. You will support them through the process of managing and reducing debt, accessing funding and engaging with smart technology.

This can be a demanding role – some of your clients will be facing huge challenges – but it is extremely rewarding and you will be making a measurable difference to people’s quality of life. You will give at-risk consumers the knowledge and confidence to be more engaged in their energy use and able to make sound decisions to manage it — ultimately putting money back in their pockets and improving their resilience and wellbeing. We are looking for an enthuiastic and driven Head of Fundraising and Development who has a strong track record of success in strategic development and management of six-figure funding partnerships and relationship building.

You will develop and foster relationships with the aim of obtaining financial support for the sustainable development and growth of QEST. Terms and Conditions

• Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkstone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region.  Up to two days a week in our Folkstone Office might be initially required.We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. We are looking for a training and development lead who will design and implement our training and conference programmes. You will work with legal and community organisations to understand their legal needs and tailor the training to give lawyers and advisers the tools they need to help their communities. The role of Dose of Nature’s Development Manager is a permanent, high-level role which will continue to evolve as the work of Dose of Nature grows over the coming years. The post involves creating and implementing a fundraising strategy, supporting the Chief Executive with financial planning, and providing clear long-term direction to income generation.

The Development Manager will work directly with the Chief Executive to devise a long-term development strategy, identify and secure funding partners, and produce relevant and compelling funding proposals. Currently the main sources of funding are from trust and foundation grants and local council health care grants. Going forward the Development Manager will grow the funding stream from trusts and foundations and look to solidify the donations from locals. As the charity develops there will also be opportunities of securing funding from the corporate sector, helping to secure Dose of Nature’s future.

The role requires a focused and detail-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial flair, business development experience, excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and the ability to juggle several complicated tasks at once. It provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with a “can-do” attitude, someone who is passionate about supporting the aims of Dose of Nature and also who wants the freedom to make this role their own.

As with any small charity we hope to find someone who is multi-faceted in terms of their fundraising skill set, and within this, without being a communications specialist, we anticipate that the Development Manager will have experience of charity communications (although this is not the main focus of the role). Ideally the Development Manager will be able to help with creating a communications strategy, support communication tools such as newsletters and social media, and identify any opportunities that may help Dose of Nature grow.

Dose of Nature has an annual turnover of approximately £400,000, of which 75% is currently raised from trust and foundation grants along with donations from individuals. The Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining this income and also securing significant new funding during 2024-25. With a good network of local support, the Development Manager will have the advantage of having a database of supporters to work with and there is the potential to create an individual appeal or giving scheme. Currently the Chief Executive makes all funding applications to trusts and foundations and these relationships will be passed on to the Development Manager who will be expected to nurture these and secure grants from new sources.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to our senior leadership team of four individuals – our CEO, Executive Director of Services, Director of Operations, and Director of Growth. Key Responsibilities: 

1. Assessing learner skills and needs to establish starting points/baseline, with other TAP staff

2. Setting up and supporting learners in work placements to develop their skills and gain meaningful experience

3. Observing and evidencing the learner journey (keeping detailed records), monitoring learner progress (including target progress)

4. Liaising with families and team around the learner as required and to contribute to reviews- ensuring learners are working towards their outcomes and aspirations

5. Supporting employers and learners to work together effectively- suggesting and implementing reasonable adjustments

6. To work with Curriculum Manager/Team Leaders to support learners during class days, helping to create learning materials as needed.

7. To work with Curriculum Manager/Team Leaders to support learners with travel training, wellbeing support and signposting to extracurricular/socials and community events

8. Working alongside the Engagement Officer to find, source and maintain employer relationships

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented fundraiser to join our small and supportive team. The Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations & Events) is a new role to our charity and will play a key part in supporting our future plans.

UP attracts significant support from individuals, and there is huge potential to grow income from Trusts and Foundations with this increased capacity in the fundraising team.

In this role, with guidance from the Head of Fundraising, you will contribute toward income generation through researching and identifying Trusts and Foundations whose criteria match UP’s work, and developing compelling and inspirational proposals and grant applications. You will maintain the Trusts and Foundations pipeline, ensuring there is a steady stream of applications submitted to maximise funding opportunities, grow income and the number of multi-year grants.

While the primary focus for this role will be to grow income from Trusts & Foundations, you will also support the Head of Fundraising to develop the philanthropy programme. This will include planning and bringing to life an exciting and varied programme of events to support the growth of Individual, major giving and corporate support and shape exceptional supporter experiences.

As Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for the Huntington’s Disease Association, you will help deliver our strategic plans and objectives by generating and growing income through community fundraising activities. You will support our existing supporters and community fundraising portfolio as well as proactively expanding our reach with community-based groups, organisations, and volunteers, to ensure maximum financial return for the charity. Through the development of community fundraising products, you will engage with our supporters in new and exciting ways.

This is an essential role in a small, national organisation supporting people affected by Huntington's disease. This is an income-generating role, but it is also about connecting with our supporters and creating long-term relationships for the future. 

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship for supporters and fundraising groups to secure and maximise income; you will advise supporters on fundraising legal requirements, fundraising policies and regulations, ensuring that all community fundraising activities meet the high standards of the Huntington’s Disease Association. In addition, you will also manage your own financial income and expenditure targets and budgets. 

You will be able to demonstrate experience of fundraising at a charity as well as experience of budget management. You will represent and promote the work, vision and purpose of the Huntington's Disease Association.
