CISV International are looking for an experienced administrator to join the Risk Management and Safeguarding team as the Risk Management Support Officer.
The role will focus on supporting the International Risk Management and Safeguarding Lead and the Safeguarding Support Officer to handle the smooth running of the department as well as to help develop the Risk Management provision for our global members.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading on Risk Management administration projects
- Being the gatekeeper for the incident case management system, ensuring all reports and evidence are logged appropriately
- Helping to ensure volunteers comply with training requirements and supporting the development of training resources including online training packages
- Analysing data and statistics to assess seasonal performance of programmes and events
- Using standard Microsoft Office software to produce accurate reports and spreadsheets
We are looking for someone who is experienced and enthusiastic about joining an exciting, international organisation. You will need to be sensitive to working with people from different cultures all around the world. An understanding of working with volunteers would also be of benefit. As this role will be part of the Risk Management and Safeguarding team there is sometimes the potential to be dealing with very sensitive material involving safeguarding or child protection issues so you will need to be both resilient and adaptable.

Your profile
To assist in coordinating and project managing a varied portfolio of events, including an annual member conference, internal staff events, roundtables, and a range of face-to-face and online events as well as overseeing the ETF’s presence at sector trade shows and conferences.
To work with the events manager to proactively seek impactful speaking and sponsorship opportunities to help build the profile and raise awareness of our work within the FE and Skills sector.
To track the events budget, including regular reporting and tracking on spend.
To produce corporate display materials and collateral for events, giving consideration to sustainability, and working closely with the marketing team to ensure brand guidelines are upheld.
To contribute to the quality review process for contract-specific events.
The successful candidate will have:

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity. This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK. As and when time permits in between events the post-holder will also assist with some general office activities, including posting t-shirts/fundraising packs to fundraisers and arranging Zoom meetings.
