We are looking for an energetic, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible person to lead the Energy Team based in Wrexham. You will lead delivery on a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction programmes and activities with communities, businesses and individuals across North Wales, coordinating and engaging with more vulnerable groups within communities, including older people, people with disabilities and households experiencing fuel poverty.

You will also be required to lead the work to achieve the renewal of the Green Dragon standard and lead the organisations development and delivery of our Carbon Reduction Plan, and will lead a small domestic energy advice team in Wrexham.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and lead-deliver a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction projects and activities with communities, businesses, and individuals across North Wales.
• Plan and support the Energy Advice Team to deliver our service in line with all funder and contract requirements, ensuring quality of support, time management and report requirements are all completed in appropriate time aligned with all requirements.
• Manage and monitor the Energy Advice Team through performance monitoring and monthly review.
• Using a standard Groundwork Federation GHG Inventory Tool for emission reporting develop, deliver and monitor our annual carbon reduction plan, working with business managers to ensure data is recoded correctly and improvements to our carbon footprint are made.
• Facilitate the renewal of the Green Dragon accreditation, implementing and managing our internal environment systems and processes up to a level 3 standard.
• Arrange and carry out home visits to support residents in reducing their carbon emissions and to save money by lowering the level of consumption and cost of energy.
• Advocate and liaise for householders with energy companies and gas and electric network providers to ensure customers receive the best possible deal for their requirements.
• Work with referral partners to identify vulnerable households, and evidence eligibility to provide support with energy advice and administer emergency fuel vouchers.
• Provide effective support, both advisory and practical, to enable people to make positive changes to their behaviour and to improve the quality of their lives; record actions and highlight the importance of keeping warm to the health and wellbeing of residents.
• Assist residents to access other relevant and complementary services and agencies, liaising with other agencies to assist residents to access funding and support to deliver larger energy efficiency measures.
• Liaise with residents on a day-to-day basis in a professional and friendly manner and build good working relationships with them either face to face or through the provision of telephone advice.
• Oversee the booking and scheduling of visits and respond to referrals from funders in a timely manner.
• Oversee the ordering of stock, ensuring stock levels are maintained and stock is monitored closely.
• Undertake monitoring information and reporting requirements as required by the Trust and funders, ensuring all the funders’ requirements are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Run events or energy surgeries to raise awareness of projects in local communities.
• Deliver outreach activities to generate referrals, e.g. door-knocking, events, road shows, etc.
• Work flexibly as part of the Energy Advice Team and across other teams, including occasional weekend working.
• Contribute to the business development of the Energy Business Area by identifying needs within the sector and collecting evaluation evidence and factual data that back up any development of new bids and tenders.
• Represent the Trust professionally to internal and external contacts, assisting with the promotion of projects and the broader activities of the Trust.

FTWW: Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales is the only patient-led charity and disabled people’s organisation in Wales dedicated to achieving health equality for women, girls, and people registered female at birth.

The role of Charity Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. Our successful candidate will be happy to join a small, dedicated team, supporting existing staff, volunteers, and trustees in the administration of the charity. You will be key to developing policies and processes that will ensure the organisation is managed effectively and efficiently into the future.

About the role

IPEM is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual to support colleagues and volunteers at our office on Tadcaster Road, York. The main focus of the job is to ensure that our office is a pleasant place to work for everyone and that our volunteers have the necessary administrative support to carry out their duties. The role works very closely with the Operations and Governance Manager who is accountable for the office and employee well-being. 

Based in York, the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) is an Educational Charity which acts as a Professional Body and Learned Society for a growing membership of more than 4,700 scientists, engineers and technologists working in hospitals, universities, and healthcare industries.

Having experience in an office-based role is essential, alongside a supportive and enthusiastic attitude towards work. The role is varied and interesting, with some regular routine tasks and some unusual requests that will require problem solving skills. You will support IPEM’s day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient business processes. This role involves administrative tasks, coordination, and communication to help optimise the operational workflow. You will need to be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy.

The role will primarily be based in our offices in York, but some travel within the UK may be required from time to time. IPEM promotes flexible working for staff. We ask all new staff to be office based for the first 6 months to facilitate training and relationship building with a range of colleagues in the office. Volunteering Support Officer

The role

Working within Tameside’s volunteering team to raise the profile of volunteering in the community, the Volunteering Support Officer will support the delivery of a high-quality service both to individuals interested in volunteering, and to volunteer managers working within Tameside’s VCFSE sector.

You will be supporting volunteers and the the local communities to take positive environmental actions in the form of gardening organically, home composting, waste reduction and supporting biodiversity.

As a Senior Project Coordinator you will work collaboratively and proactively with project colleagues, stakeholders and volunteers. You will identify new partnership and delivery opportunities based on local community and project needs. This role will be based out of our head office at Ryton but you will be building many new relationships, so expect to be out and about locally.

You will work with other senior project coordinators and department leads to ensure that support for all our volunteers exceeds expectation, and our community projects are delivered to an excellent standard. You will contribute to and where appropriate oversee the development of project related resources.

You will support and deliver events and activities by enlisting volunteers and ensuring that they have the guidance and materials they need.

You will deliver workshops and training on topics core to the principles of organic gardening including home composting, waste reduction, and biodiversity, for a variety of audiences.

Evaluation of project impact is paramount for the charity and its commissioners, so you will work with volunteers to collate written feedback and produce detailed reports as required. Your written feedback will require analysis and evidence of the expected or actual impact of your, and your associated volunteers, work.

What we are looking for:

Reporting into the Head of Knowledge Transfer, you will be joining a UK-wide team with a broad range of skill sets, knowledge, and experience. Our ideal candidate will share our passion and enthusiasm to inspire more people to use the principles of organic gardening, whether that’s composting, growing your own, boosting biodiversity or reducing waste.

You will be a strong project manager, with experience of working with diverse communities. You will be a conduit for enabling the greatest possible impact across our delivery and you will be naturally curious to understand our mission and proactively seek out fresh and creative opportunities to expand our reach.

An engaging and proactive communication style is essential, be it, in person, virtually or by telephone and email. Our ideal candidate must also have strong organisational, time management and administrative skills to ensure they can manage a busy workload with multiple simultaneous projects and changing priorities.

You will be a confident and experienced trainer with a proven track record of engaging across a diverse range of people and communities.

You will have experience of using social media and PR to promote project work, you will work closely with our Communication and marketing team to promote our work and engage more people in volunteering and positive environmental behavior.

Our ambition:

Our voice is amplified by more than 350 volunteers supported by local colleagues who, in 2023, recorded over 22,000 conversations. Our ambition is to increase the number of volunteers we support and thereby increase our reach, engaging more people in sharing the positive environmental messages of home composting, organic growing, and reducing food waste.

Responsibilities & Main Duties:

Project Management/Coordination

• Work effectively with project colleagues internally and externally.
• Project lead for our work in Rugby
• Providing day to day support for volunteers in Rugby.
• Provide line management for at least one of our project coordinators in the Midlands.
• Work with department heads, colleagues at HQ and project coordinators in the successful delivery of projects and volunteer coordination.
• Collate and provide data and information to feedback on progress and track delivery timescales against project targets.
• Work with colleagues to develop agreed resources.

Supporting volunteers

• Coordinate the sign up of volunteers in Rugby (utilising our volunteer database system, Better Impact)
• Provide resources to support their activity.
• Source opportunities for volunteers to reach audiences in their local communities, this will involve liaising with event organisers.
• Working alongside colleagues to contribute to the updating of volunteer policies and processes.
• Maximise dissemination and PR associated with projects by liaising with the team.
• Organise, attend and support a variety of events for and with different communities within Rugby.
• Design, develop and deliver training for a range of different audiences.

General

• It is the nature of the work of Garden Organic that tasks and responsibilities are, in some circumstances, unpredictable and varied. All employees are expected to work in flexible way when the occasion arises where tasks are not specifically covered in the Job Description and have to be undertaken.
• Occasional evening, weekend and bank holiday working will be required.
• Access to reliable transportation is required as this role requires some travel.

We are seeking a coordinator for our educational mentoring programme for young refugees and asylum seekers. The coordinator will oversee our North London mentoring hub by recruiting and training volunteer mentors and matching them to young people needing additional educational support.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

This role sits within the Corporate Partnerships team that provides high quality account management and supporter experience to retain, renew and grow partners towards Centrepoint’s strategic goal. The team manages a diverse portfolio of partnerships, from long-term strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year relationships and Cause Related Marketing campaigns.

The post holder will manage our corporate partnerships worth between £10,000-50,000, providing excellent and innovative stewardship and impact reporting. This role will work alongside our New Business Officer to seamlessly on-board new partners and will also be integral to recruiting and fundraising for the Centrepoint Corporate Sleep Out event.

Outside of the accounts this post holder will manage, they will also hold responsibility for developing the Corporate Volunteering project alongside their manager.

The Corporate Partnerships Officer role sits within an eight person Corporate Partnerships team, and within a broader 11 person Corporate Fundraising team inclusive of New Business.

In particular, the post holder will take responsibility for:

• Account Management of accounts worth between £10,000 and £50,000, promotion of key engagement products, events and sponsorship opportunities;
• Corporate Trust applications up to £50,000 from within current accounts;
• Corporate focussed event recruitment and stewardship lead for our Flagship Corporate SLEEP OUT event

The purpose of this role is to act as the policy focal point between Sightsavers and the World Health Organization (WHO) in the implementation of the at the country level.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Office Administrator to join our team. To manage the overall running of the Carers’ Hub office, including overseeing HR admin, implement policy and procedures, including Health and Safety, maintain administrative processes, manage stakeholders, serve the trustee board, and work closely with the Carers’ Hub team in the implementation of events and projects.

The Office Administrator role is a new position that will provide a wide variety of operational support to the Carers’ Hub Leadership Team as we develop our offer and increase the number of carers who access our services.
