About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison.  This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved, and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.  You will deliver a range of interventions to service users, including group work sessions where required, and work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of prescribed locations across a wide geographical area.

We will also rely on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies including Probation, Prisons and partners, and work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards.  Using agreed CRM databases, recording all activity relating to caseload and ensuring all information is recorded within agreed deadlines are all also vital aspects of the role.

What we are looking for

• Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 qualification in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
• A sound knowledge of the requirements of managing a caseload
• An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
• Impressive interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written
• A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. Improving the safety and life opportunities of the people who use their services and supporting them in their recovery. We are currently recruiting for an Evening / Night Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join the team on a permanent basis following the successful acquisition of a new Refuge service in Ellesmere Port. This is part time role, working 20.5 hours per week on a rota basis.

The role

• To accept new referrals and complete move in procedures for new clients, including supporting flat turnarounds, cleaning, and re-stock to ensure there is no delay in accommodation any referral.
• Ensure the upkeep and security of the building and take responsibility for any cash and equipment.
• Maintaining an understanding and awareness of and adhering to all support plans and risk assessments and to update the Domestic Abuse Support Worker (DASW) of changes to risk or incidents.
• To provide feedback to the DASW regarding tenant's SMART plans and aims achieved, recorded documentation on client database.
• To complete risk assessments for activities both 1-1 and group work, incorporating safety planning, reviewing on a regular basis.
• To work with clients and other staff to devise an annual plan for client involvement, to actively engage the individuals and families within the Ellesmere Port DA safe accommodation service, promoting lived experience involvement in service delivery and improvement.
• Facilitate evening group work and promote, monitor and evaluate involvement sessions in conjunction with the people using services.
• To work in-line with the project's budget, adhering to financial policies and procedures.
• To monitor the security and safety of the premises on an ongoing basis, including CCTV, front door entry system and alarm system.
• To be responsible and accountable for the efficient recording, storing and maintaining of client records including contact notes, correspondence, incident reporting, handovers, risk updates and outcomes achieved.
• Record and manage any anti-social behaviour or neighbour nuisance and respond appropriately according to escalation procedure.
• Address any instances of non-engagement or perceived obstacles to support via a trauma informed approach.

The candidate

• Relevant qualification in Domestic Abuse / IDVA / ISVA or equivalent diploma / degree / NVQ 3 or equivalent work level experience and the willingness to achieve a level 3 qualification.
• An extensive understanding of individuals and families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
• Knowledge of working as part of a team, working on own initiative and managing time effectively.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering the Forth Valley and the surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home, hospital, care homes or other suitable community venues and be home based for administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.

If so, the Drive Partnership is looking for a DAPO Triage IDVA in Manchester. 

The Drive Partnership was formed by Respect, Safe Lives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

The Triage IDVA will work as part of the Triage Team in their pilot area, reporting to the Triage Team Leader and working alongside the Triage Worker. They will be responsible  for supporting and presenting the voice of the victims and their children in cases where  the perpetrator has been referred to the team for an assessment of suitability for a Positive Requirement during an application for a DAPO.

They will be responsible for attempting to contact the victims to carry out the relevant safety checks, risk assessments and provide advocacy during the assessment stage and make onward referrals for further support for the victim. They will capture the voice of the victim as part of the overall assessment for a positive requirement and feed their views and any relevant information about risk or need into the overall recommendation. The IDVA’s work and expertise will ensure that the risks and needs for both the Perpetrator and Victims/families are considered so that a co-ordinated and individual intervention plan can be created when appropriate and safe to apply as part of the DAPO.

We are looking for a Community Support Worker to join our team. You will be responsible for providing advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing.

Community Support (PCN) Service Objectives

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
• To contribute to an improvement in the proportion of people with mental ill health who are accessing support.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.

The Successful Candidate will

• Provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing.
• Work closely with GP surgeries within the Primary Care Network.
• Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• Be an independent source of support for all clients.
• Embed a person-centered and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles. The Recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.

Key Accountabilities

• To receive referrals a wide range of referral pathways.
• To undertake initial contact with clients and complete a holistic needs assessment, making use of assertive outreach work to achieve the initial client contact, if required.
• To provide holistic support both outreach and in our centres and advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
• Ensure all person-centered risk assessments and support plans are completed as appropriate.
• To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services.
• To liaise with other agencies to ensure that clients receive appropriate support and continue to remain engaged with the service.
• To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, drug and alcohol services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
• To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working.

We are currently recruiting for 3 Evening / Night Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Workers to join the team on a permanent basis following the successful acquisition of a new Refuge service in Rochdale. This is part time role, working 16.33 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota.

The role

• To accept new referrals and complete move in procedures for new clients, including supporting flat turnarounds, cleaning, and re-stock to ensure there is no delay in accommodation any referral.
• Ensure the upkeep and security of the building and take responsibility for any cash and equipment.
• Maintaining an understanding and awareness of and adhering to all support plans and risk assessments and to update the Domestic Abuse Support Worker (DASW) of changes to risk or incidents.
• To provide feedback to the DASW regarding tenant's SMART plans and aims achieved, recorded documentation on client database.
• To complete risk assessments for activities both 1-1 and group work, incorporating safety planning, reviewing on a regular basis.
• To work with clients and other staff to devise an annual plan for client involvement, to actively engage the individuals and families within the Rochdale DA safe accommodation service, promoting lived experience involvement in service delivery and improvement.
• Facilitate evening group work and promote, monitor and evaluate involvement sessions in conjunction with the people using services.
• To work in-line with the project's budget, adhering to financial policies and procedures.
• To monitor the security and safety of the premises on an ongoing basis, including CCTV, front door entry system and alarm system.
• To be responsible and accountable for the efficient recording, storing and maintaining of client records including contact notes, correspondence, incident reporting, handovers, risk updates and outcomes achieved.
• Record and manage any anti-social behaviour or neighbour nuisance and respond appropriately according to escalation procedure.
• Address any instances of non-engagement or perceived obstacles to support via a trauma informed approach.
• To actively promote the service and the organisation.
• To ensure GDPR, confidentiality and professional boundaries are upheld in all aspects of daily practice.

The candidate

• Relevant qualification in Domestic Abuse / IDVA / ISVA or equivalent diploma / degree / NVQ 3 or equivalent work level experience and the willingness to achieve a level 3 qualification.
• An extensive understanding of individuals and families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
• Knowledge of working as part of a team, working on own initiative and managing time effectively.
• Ability and knowledge of planning, promoting, or delivering group work sessions with evaluation.
• Knowledge of providing support on agreed outcomes of assessment support plans.
• Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments, including DASH Ric.
• Knowledge of the impact of multiple disadvantages, complex support needs and homelessness.

About the role
