The post holder will work with the Communications and Marketing Manager in developing our digital channels to promote our charity and the work we do, grow Hft’s reach to new audiences, boost engagement with supporters, and achieve our strategic goals.

This might mean planning and delivering campaigns via our social media channels, identifying creative and compelling ways to share stories and content across our website, or working alongside internal stakeholders to build and manage advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google AdWords or Meta's Ads Manager. Areas of Responsibility

Planning and Logistics across Communications and Research: 

• Supporting event planning (e.g. managing venues, hospitality, invitations).

Patient engagement is through face-to-face appointments in GP surgeries across the Erdington constituency and telephone consultations.

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous and you will ideally have experience of delivering services in a community setting, particularly to vulnerable adults.

About you

The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.

The ideal candidate will have some prior understanding of charity fundraising and the needs of working in an assurance role, but training can be provided.  Prior knowledge some data protection legislation and fundraising regulations would also be beneficial, such as the data protection act, fundraising code of practice, CAP code, gambling commission code, and HMRC gift aid rules. You will also be self-motivated and have an eagerness to learn and develop in line with the ever-changing regulatory landscape and the charities needs and goals.  

Ideal attributes of a candidate include an analytical mind, with the ability to review information, ask questions and make informed decisions to support the charity to meet its objectives, whilst also mitigating unnecessary risk.

You will be an approachable, confident and clear communicator, that can adapt your communication stye to a verity of audiences in order to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner, that is both educational and builds productive relationships with colleagues.

We are currently seeking a self-motivating and outgoing Case Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily work within HMP Brixton, providing essential support to men preparing for release and continuing to assist them as they reintegrate into the community across London. This role is central to our mission to empower those leaving prison and resettling in London to transform their lives through mentoring, advocacy, and peer support. This role will involve confidently mixing on the prison wing, to identify and recruit individuals (potential members) who would benefit from Change for Good’s services.

Change for Good Community Chaplaincy Limited (CfG), a registered charity since 2012, is a volunteer mentoring charity that works across London supporting prison-leavers before and after their release from prison and as they resettle in the community. We do this through our ‘through the gate’ work, volunteer mentoring, and liaising with many organisations and support groups across the criminal justice sector (see www.changeforgood.info).

We are looking for a Case Worker to join our small team at a very exciting time of growth for our charity. The last 4 years have seen Change for Good go from a mentoring project in HMP Wandsworth to an innovative resettlement charity serving 4 prisons, our Next Chapter peer support group and mentoring relationships across London.

Our office is based in Stockwell. The Case worker will be required to travel to locations across London each week.

The work will include:

● Being a source of information on what prison organisations/services are available to clients and volunteers

● Identifying those who can gain from our support, engaging them, assessing needs and risks

● Matching clients to volunteers, tracking progress

● Enabling peer support group(s) and their development

● Building and maintaining relationships with Prisons, Probation and other key stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:

● Experience of working with offenders and ex-offenders in prison or in the community

● Confidence in engaging one-to-one, communicating what’s on offer while making an informed assessment of suitability

● An understanding of the criminal justice system (or homelessness, addiction, mental health, community work etc) and the role of befriending / mentoring in enabling change for good

We are looking for someone to join the St Mungo’s Street Outreach service; our dynamic street outreach team in Oxford who provide a rapid response service to people who are sleeping rough across Oxford City. The dedicated team works proactively as part of Oxfordshire’s Homeless Alliance to support people who are sleeping rough on the street with key healthcare, benefits, and accommodation support and advice.

• Working as an Outreach Worker you will work with people to assess their needs and deliver a person centred support, as well as working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies across the city to meet client’s individual needs.
• It’s not always an easy job, but the exciting opportunity to work with different people every day, helping individuals experiencing homelessness and the local community end the harms of rough sleeping is highly rewarding.

You will work on a weekly shift rota Monday – Friday including 2 early shifts starting from around 6am and additional shifts from 9am-5pm office hours. Some weekends, bank holidays and late shifts may also be required to ensure we are available to support people experiencing homelessness when they need us the most.

Hillside Clubhouse will be launching two brand new community cafés from Highgate East inpatients facility and from Lowther Road outpatients building.  We want to make the cafés a warm, safe and supportive destinations for the whole community, not just patients and visitors.  This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to grow and develop two community cafés and tackle stigmas associated with mental ill health.

The front of house team will be instrumental in launching the café, so it is important that you feel confident and happy working under your own initiative as well as being part of a small team.

Most importantly, we are looking for people who are passionate about coproduction, food and community! 

Job Description

Café Operations – Help to maximise food and beverage sales on site; clearing tables and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the café; help to restock the café; operate the tills and take card payments.

Community engagement – Collate feedback from customers and ensuring this is shared with the community café manager; ensure customers have a positive and supportive experience in the café.

Customer Service – Ensuring the customers have a good café experience; ensuring customer queries and complaints are addressed in a proactive, friendly and timely manner; respond to any access needs customers have.

Volunteer Support – Providing support for Hillside volunteers within the café and ensuring they have a positive workplace experience.

Health & Safety – Ensure you have a good understanding of health and safety policy and procedures in the café, and that you are following them.

Safeguarding – Being aware of safeguarding policy and procedures and ensuring that any safeguarding concerns are raised with the safeguarding lead.

General – Ensure Hillside’s wider charitable work is promoted and made aware of; ensuring you are following the policies and procedures of Hillside throughout your work.

Person Specification

Ideally you would have some experience in the hospitality industry but training is provided

Excellent customer service skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work under your own initiative and within a team

A friendly and approachable attitude with an interest in challenging stigma associated with mental ill health
