Are you an innovative and certified Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM professional who wishes to be a valued member of a busy and friendly fundraising team, taking responsibility for the management of the charity’s future Dynamics 365 CRM?
The charity shall shortly begin the discovery phase of its CRM project, to deliver its future Dynamics 365 CRM. The new Dynamics 365 CRM will be at the heart of the charity’s success, to deliver excellent supporter data quality for its fundraising and communication campaigns to supporters.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, and collaborating closely with the Head of IT, CRM Project Manager and Data Analyst, the CRM Officer shall be a vital and visible role, fundamental to the charity’s fundraising success, to further its vision of a world where every horse is treated with respect, compassion and understanding.
Through your proven Dynamics 365 CRM skills and experience, you will also lead on the charity’s CRM business processes and data quality, collaborating with fundraising, communications, IT and finance stakeholders, colleagues and third party suppliers.

Location
This position is based remotely. But you must be a resident of the United Kingdom with all the necessary legislative ‘right to work’ documentation. This exciting role will lead and coordinate our work with institutions, and others, to find a way through difficult issues like low emission zones, the energy transition, industrialisation of green spaces and other challenges in a way that centres the people who are impacted, with a social justice and equity lens. This role will primarily sit within our Innovation and Practice (I&P) function - focused on practical delivery of public engagement such as citizen assemblies, juries and other deliberative processes. The successful candidate will lead several of our major climate change and nature projects, including the UKRI Net Zero Living project - working with 28 Councils to embed meaningful public participation in their route to net zero. You will also contribute to the training, standards setting and advocacy work that Involve does - maintaining and growing our reputation in climate and environment networks and communicating the contribution we can make and impact that we are having.
We have a significant track record in public deliberation on climate change. We ran the first Climate Assembly in the UK and have since delivered many projects in this area including the People’s Plan for Nature. We have developed a reputation for best practice public dialogue, deliberation and capacity building. Purpose of the job:
The post-holder will work within a well-established Money Advice Team to provide Technical Supervision to a team of debt advisers. They may on occasion be expected to provide debt advice and casework themselves, assisting clients to achieve the best outcome for their circumstances.
They will regularly assess client case files against the Quality Standards, providing constructive feedback to advisers to ensure that high levels of quality are maintained.
The post-holder will work with their colleagues to achieve the team’s objectives.
Flexibility is a key characteristic of all our posts and the post-holder may be asked to carry out other tasks consistent with the grade from time to time.
Essential Criteria:
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years (full-time) or 3 years (part-time) experience of providing debt advice and conducting casework.
- Hold a MaPS accredited or other relevant qualification in debt advice or are willing to work towards this.
- Experience of supporting and developing other advisers within a team.
- A proven commitment to their own Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

The team
The communications team works alongside the fundraising team, and is responsible for delivering marketing, communications and PR that promotes both our charitable and commercial (venue hire) work.
This is a new team that will bring fresh perspectives and new energy to how we do things, how we drive the organisation forwards to ensure that we are increasing our profile and awareness of our work, and what we have to offer in the journey to making society in East London and beyond a fairer place.
Scope of role
As Communications, Marketing, and PR Manager, you will play a key role in raising Toynbee Hall’s profile, ensuring that our charitable work and commercial venue hire operations receive the recognition they deserve. This is a newly created role, designed to lead external communications, oversee PR and brand strategy, and develop impactful marketing campaigns that engage our audiences.
You will also line manage the Digital Engagement Officer, who will focus on digital communications, social media, and internal engagement. Together, you will drive our brand forward and ensure our work is heard by key stakeholders, supporters, and the wider public.
In conjunction with the CEO and the Senior Management team the manager is responsible for the communication workplan for Toynbee Hall. They are responsible for managing the marketing budget, and delivering the communications strategy.
- Support strategic objectives through delivery of the communications plan that reflects the needs of the services and organisational needs.
- Supporting the production of impact reports and annual reports.
- Facilitate and deliver our press and media approach in collaboration with CEO and SMT and the overall comms priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & PR
- Be the driving force behind Toynbee Hall’s public voice, shaping narratives that highlight our impact.
- Lead PR activity, securing media coverage and ensuring our work is heard at local and national levels.
- Develop and implement a communications strategy that raises awareness of Toynbee Hall’s charitable work and commercial venue hire.
- Build influential relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key stakeholders.
- Draft press releases, op-eds, and compelling stories that bring our mission to life.
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistent messaging and identity across all communications.
Marketing & Profile Raising
- Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns that amplify our impact and drive engagement.
- Oversee content creation for promotional materials, impact reports, and fundraising campaigns.
- Collaborate with fundraising teams to align communications with donor engagement efforts.
- Develop strategic partnerships to expand our reach and influence.
- Oversee event promotion and outreach efforts.
Digital & Social Media
- Oversee the Digital Engagement Officer in delivering bold and engaging digital campaigns.
- Ensure digital communications are innovative and drive audience engagement.
- Monitor analytics and performance data to refine communication strategies.
Leadership & Team Development - Line manage the Digital Engagement Officer, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Communications team to align messaging and campaigns.
