World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.
STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding work in the UK. We now have an exciting opportunity for Team Managers to join the STEP team, to oversee a team of 15 to 20 Remote Employment Advisors who provide employment support to refugee clients across the UK.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing effective leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Employment Advisors
- Monitoring and management of workflow for STEP Employment Advisors
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance the performance and professional growth of team members.
- Quality assurance of STEP programme delivery
- Management of the referral process for STEP participants
- Monitoring and Reporting (programme outcomes and budget)
About you
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably within a refugee support or employment-related context.
- Strong understanding of the refugee context in the UK and the challenges faced in accessing jobs, education, and training.
- Demonstrable ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Competency in speaking another language is desirable e.g. Amharic, Arabic, Dari/Pashto, Dinka Farsi, Kurdish, Ormo, Somali, Tigrinya, Turkish

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive? As the KFCYF Youth Mentor you will be building voluntary, trusted relationships with young people, away from many of the other pressures they may be facing in their lives. Working with young people aged between 8 and 19, supporting young adults up to the age of 25 depending on their needs.
Service Delivery
Effective planning of a range of different high quality work with young people - play and youth work and early help provision, that meets the needs of children, young people and families including through direct and partnership delivery with third sector providers.
Delivery of high quality face to face work with young people using a range of engagement methods; inclusive of sports, arts, cultural and recreational activity that promotes the development of well-being
You will have a local knowledge and be able to develop a meaningful dialogue with children, young people and families, with the purpose of assessing their needs and creating programmes to meet them.

Leadership
To provide line management and supervision to delivery team members (e.g. Youth Workers, Occasional Instructors, Volunteers, etc.)
Follow KFCYF policy and procedures for health and safety are adhered to (e.g. ensuring no unauthorised persons are on site; ensuring risk assessments are followed; young people sign in and membership forms containing emergency contact details are completed, etc.)
Complete risk assessments are carried out for the premises, activities and services and updated as and when necessary.
Administration
Maintain accurate and up to date records of attendance data and other information as required.
Maintain records of interventions
Today, 12 children and young people will be diagnosed with cancer. We’ll stop at nothing to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.

About the role
We’re looking for a Human Resources Advisor with strong experience in employee relations and policy development to join our People Team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the HR Business Partners and act as the escalation point from our People Operations Team, offering comprehensive, pragmatic people advisory services across the organisation. You’ll support colleagues and managers on a wide range of HR topics, including employee relations, recruitment, and policy improvement.
This is a key role that doesn’t involve direct management responsibilities, but you will play a pivotal part in coaching and advising managers and colleagues. - Liaise with the People Operations Team to ensure all people changes are accurately reflected in our systems and payroll.
- Support the development and implementation of our People policies and processes across the organisation.

Purpose
Kids in Need of Defense UK is a collaboration between four award-winning, UK based not for profits that specialise in children’s immigration and asylum law. We partner with lawyers and law firms across the UK to provide the highest quality legal advice and representation for free to undocumented children and young people. Central England Law Centre (CELC) is the UK's Largest Law Centre and the lead partner in the KIND UK collaboration. The successful candidate will be working with Central England Law Centre (CELC) on the KIND UK project.
This is a key role for which we’re seeking a suitably qualified and experienced immigration adviser. They will be responsible for providing an excellent frontline service to KIND UK clients, leading on all matters relating to the assessment and triage of new referrals to the service.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities:
- Assess referrals which have been flagged for legal advice by KIND UK administrators, for merit and suitability for the KIND UK project
- Assess and agree the appropriate level of service, making the initial triaging decision on referrals
- Provide internal legal advice on referrals with legal complexities
- Provide one-off advice to prospective clients via telephone and/or email, where appropriate
- Make onward referrals to other suitable immigration advisers and other services, where appropriate
Personal Specification:
Essential:
- OISC L3 or admitted as a solicitor or barrister in the UK or equivalent right to give immigration advice
- Significant post-qualification experience in child, young person and adult immigration and nationality law
- Broad and confident knowledge of UK immigration and nationality law and policy
