Nicole Ilunga Foundation
The Nicole Ilunga Foundation actively works to combat gender inequality through initiatives focused on protection, education, and healthcare.
The Democratic Republic of Congo's low female representation in economic and political spheres, despite constitutional and international commitments and despite the current prime minister being a woman, demands urgent attention. Shocking statistics reveal that fewer than 10% of women are involved in political bodies, and those who do participate face frequent violence and harassment. Overcoming cultural, social, and economic barriers is essential to enhancing women's political engagement.
Nicole Ilunga Foundation is dedicated to implementing a comprehensive range of educational activities aimed at empowering women and youth, especially those from underserved backgrounds, to take on leadership roles, advocate for change, and develop entrepreneurial skills.
