Summary of role – purpose and duties:

Their communities face multi-faceted barriers to accessing services, advice and legal representation. To that end, they are recruiting an Advocacy and Legal Referrals Coordinator to:
- Work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to empower and meet the needs of clients.
- Referring vulnerable clients to trusted law firms where needed and supporting them through their legal case.
- Undertaking direct advocacy on behalf of vulnerable clients, on issues such as housing,debt, ombudsman appeals, DVLA and benefits appeals.
- Empower clients to engage with other third sector advice organisations, such as their local law centre and Citizens Advice Bureaux.
- Work with our Service Manager to develop bespoke advocacy pathways for victims of Domestic Abuse.
Person specification:
The successful candidate will be committed to achieving excellent outcomes for clients and be aligned with the vision and values of the charity. They will be warm and compassionate, yet also able to demonstrate healthy boundaries and professionalism. Crucially, they will be able to demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication, in addition to sound critical thinking and IT skills. About the role

Core Responsibilities
Financial Management:
· Day to day management of the organisation’s financial and administrational activities, ensuring that appropriate systems are in place to receive and make payments, and to monitor financial performance of both the charity and the trading subsidiary

· Regular reconciliation of bank and other relevant accounts

· Preparing and supporting the independent verification/audit of annual accounts and any other financial reporting required to meet our obligations to the Charity Commission & Companies House
· Preparation and agreement of the annual budget and any required re-forecasts throughout the financial year
· Preparation of ad hoc financial analysis as required by the CEO or Board of Trustees
Procurement:
· Procurement and management of services and consumables required to support the organisation
Grant Administration:
· Overseeing the administration of grants and contracts, including ensuring eligibility of participants, submitting claims and other data required by funders, invoicing and budget monitoring, ensuring that all deadlines are met
· Supporting fundraising efforts, including preparing budgets for proposals
· Supporting the CEO to develop financial strategies for the organisation
General Administration / Other:
· Monitoring developments in financial regulations affecting the Garden, and ensuring processes / procedures are updated as required

The Children’s Specialist (Discipleship) will work as part of the Children & Youth Department team (CY) that is seeking fullness of life for all with Jesus by raising leaders and young people who are disciples of Jesus in our tradition of social change and justice.

The successful candidate for this full-time position is expected to be an experienced children’s practitioner with an in-depth understanding around childhood development, emotional health and wellbeing, children’s discipleship, spirituality, transition stages, and of culture’s influence on how faith is formed and nurtured. You will have current experience of working with children in a professional capacity e.g., within a church, national charity, education and or social work sectors, and in creating innovative, relevant, and engaging discipleship and outreach resources for children in local corps, centres and the wider community. In addition, excellent collaborative, organisational and project management skills; ability to multi-task, creative writing and thinking, initiative and attention to detail are required. Experience of The Salvation Army is desirable but not essential.

About the Team
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups. We have supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
- providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.
This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Community Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.

The role of the Peer Community Innovation Lead is to oversee and take accountability for sustaining kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model.

The Director of Research is a key position in the organisation that leads our research activities, managing a small team as we invest in a prioritised and focused research portfolio. Working alongside the CEO and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing a research strategy that fits seamlessly with the Foundation’s vision, ensuring we have the expertise and resources required to support our programme and initiatives.
As someone with experience working in a scientific research role, you will have the ability to interpret, analyse and utilise research findings and developments, with a deep understanding of the drug discovery and development landscape. You will be someone who constantly seeks out new research approaches, methodologies and funding models, ensuring that the Foundation remains at the forefront with its innovative practices. Main Purpose of the Job
The Digital Enabler will work with the District Leadership Team and the Communications Officer to build the digital communications capacity of the District at every level, to facilitate effective participation by all members in the life of the church in the North West District, and to make use of new opportunities for mission and community-building in the digital sphere.
Key Responsibilities
1.Ensure that the District leadership is able to fulfil its responsibilities by ensuring there are reliable digital platforms for online, live-streamed and recorded meetings and events, for electronic dissemination of information (via web, social media and mailings), and audio and video recording and sharing..
2.Enable all members of churches in the District to have the opportunity for participation in District forums and events, and to receive information from their District and Circuits.

Key Tasks
Training and Support
1.Create a digital strategy for the District, identifying the essential resources and support needed to enable full participation at every level, and the opportunities for missional work in the online world.

3.Build a network of “digital champions” within Circuits and provide advice and support for local training and capacity building.
4.Devise and deliver online training courses for Circuits and churches.
5.Develop a “Digital Community of Practice” across the District, and linking where appropriate across the Connexion, which will envisage and create new ways of being and growing church in the digital age.

1.Work with the Communications Officer in building and maintaining the District’s online presence, including the website and social media.

3.Collect and disseminate information on digital specialists in the District who can serve Circuits and churches. (This could include graphic designers, web and database programmers, audio-visual and streaming experts and others.)

- Support the dissemination and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures throughout the mentoring programme.
- Provide support and guidance to staff, volunteers, and stakeholders on safeguarding-related matters, including responding to queries, concerns, and disclosures in a timely and appropriate manner.
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with our community organisations, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resource-sharing for youth development efforts.

To deliver individual support packages to service users motivating them to make positive lifestyle choices.
Main duties
- Contribute to a ‘good practice’ support service, appropriate to service user needs.
- Work closely with individuals to develop needs assessment, support packages, action plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure individual support packages are reflective of the different service user needs, including culture and diversity issues.
- Meet clearly defined service user outcomes through key working, support plans, risk assessments and other interventions.
- Regularly review action plans and risk assessments in line with Hope’s policies and practice.
- Ensure the support package promotes empowerment and independence and underpins the ethos of the work undertaken.
- Undertake referrals and assessments of service users, working with them to identify the most appropriate solutions for their needs.
- To work with clients to ensure clients maximise welfare benefits.
- Ensure service users have access to relevant external support services.
- Ensure opportunities for education, training, employment and other meaningful occupations are integral to the support service.
- Work in line with health and safety requirements.
- Commit to a service user centred approach.
- Work with clients towards positive and tangible outcomes.
- Meet the requirements of rota systems (to include days and lates to 9.30pm).
- Work as part of a team to deliver a high standard service across the scheme.
- Use IT systems to complete paperwork in a timely manner and to an exceptionally high standard.
- Work in line with the charities policies and procedures and the requirements of funders to ensure effective service delivery.

In this key role, you will play an integral part in the Individual Giving team, helping to meet their target of raising over £24million from supporters in FY 2024/25.

What you’ll be doing
- Report to the Senior Supporter Engagement Manager, and lead on the Mid-value programme.
- Manage relationships with Mid-value donors typically giving £1,000 - £5,000 a year. Cultivate, steward and solicit donations, and grow year-on-year income from this valued group of supporters.
- Develop and implement a communications plan for Mid-value donors, including programme proposals, targeted appeals, inspiring updates and impact reports, as well as collaborating on supporter events and online webinars.
- Drive forward stewardship journeys to deepen supporter engagement, understand motivations for giving, build long-term relationships and increase lifetime value.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Trainee Project Worker or Trainee Floating Support Worker at services across London, including Westminster, Lewisham, Camden, Islington and Redbridge.

Trainee Project Worker roles are based in supported accommodation services, where we aim to prepare clients for independence and positively impact their quality of life. These services provide temporary and longer-term accommodation for people who may have associated difficulties relating to mental health, complex support needs and trauma. In this role, you will be working on a shift rota, which will include working early shifts: 8am - 3:30pm/4pm and /or late shifts: 3:30pm - 10:30pm and could include some weekends and bank holidays.
We may also have Trainee Floating Support Worker roles, working to support a caseload of people who are at greater risk of homelessness with a focus on addressing housing-related issues, improving quality of life and promoting independence. Your support will include help with benefits issues, mental and physical ill health, hoarding and antisocial behaviours within a recovery framework and structured key working assessment. This work will involve regular travel in London, visiting clients in their own homes or other locations.
As a Trainee, you will be working in a varied and rewarding role amongst a committed and supportive team. The training programme will teach you how to provide this support to clients, enabling them to achieve the objectives they have collaboratively created in their support and action plans. You will also assist clients with routine tasks and their goals relating to training, education, or employment.
As a Trainee, you will receive increments to your salary at six months and at nine months (subject to successful completion of the Trainee Programme).
About you:
You do not need to have previous or formal experience working in the homelessness sector or in a support role. We are seeking people with transferable skills and experience gained from a varied background, who will demonstrate a commitment and passion for the work that we do. You will be ready to learn on the job and we will support you to develop your own learning and practice through a structured programme and teamwork.
We are looking for people who are creative thinkers, that are committed and motivated in inspiring our clients into leading successful lives. In return, we will provide you with a comprehensive and engaging Trainee Programme. Involving ongoing support, trainee specific workshops and plenty of opportunity to learn on the job through formal training, reflective practice, service visits and working with experienced colleagues. The traineeship period will run up to 9 months with a possibility for a fast track at 6 months.

Main purpose of the role
- Provide leadership in delivering the Loveworks business plan in line with the overall Strategy
- Ensure that our beneficiaries and volunteers are at the heart of the Loveworks strategy and business plan.

- Oversee the operational running of the charity and provide holiday support
- Be responsible for Loveworks assets including warehouse, van and two allotment plots

Main areas of responsibility:
· Strategy and business planning:
o Converting the strategy into an annual business plan
o Working with partners and Trustees to realise the benefits and impact of Loveworks in the community
· People management:
o Line management of up to 5 staff
o Build and maintain a vibrant volunteer community ensuring volunteers feel valued, supported and motivated to support Loveworks in a variety of roles.
o Ensure good practice, policies, procedures and appropriate training is in place for staff and volunteers.
· Operational management:
o Oversee the operational running of the charity, as delegated to the charity officers, ensuring the governance is fit for purpose and maintained.
o Manage and ensure maintenance and running of Loveworks assets including the warehouse, van and two allotments
· Budget management:
o Create and manage the overall budget as agreed with Trustee Treasurer
o Monthly and annual reporting
· Governance:
o Work with the Board of Trustees to ensure the charity commission governance requirements are operationally in place and maintained.
o Manage operational risk and health & safety across the charity.
· Stakeholder management:
o Relationship building e.g. agencies, schools, corporate organisations and fundraisers, developing and maintaining links with local community groups, organisations and businesses.
· Marketing and fundraising:
o Oversee the funding bids, grant applications, sponsorship campaigns and fundraising events.
