About the Role: 

Based in the office, you will be the first point of contact for many children, young people and their families seeking counselling services. You will provide crucial administrative support to our team of counsellors and will work closely with the Operations Manager to create and synchronise processes for tracking clinical and non-clinical outcomes to help to evaluate and improve the performance of the charity.  You will work with the Fundraising and Partnerships team to research, plan and execute effective community engagement work which will help the charity to further its mission and vision, and communicate this to more stakeholders.  You will conduct research to aid the the charity as we move forwards.  You will take on project-based work, including assisting the Senior Management Team with the review and update of organisational policies and other key organisational documents.

Support those who Care

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Carers across City of London to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team work holistically with Carers to understand their individual circumstances and level of need. You’ll carry out home visits and community-based meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Carers, families, and professionals. You will also support Carers to complete written forms and applications, draft letters, and advocate with third parties.         

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Together with colleagues, you will plan and deliver the service’s activity package, including coffee mornings, drop-in sessions, activities, online and face to face groups, and peer support forums. There will also be opportunities to promote the service by attending meetings and forums, and to deliver training sessions to professionals and community organisations so that they have the skills to identify Carers.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe. Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted. We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Purpose of the Job

The Senior Statutory, Trusts and Foundations Manager will support the step change in growth of primarily Statutory income and support Trusts and Foundations income for The Felix Project in line with the organisational strategy.

This role does not currently have direct reports; subject to income growth, it is anticipated the successful postholder will build a team over time. 

You will be part of a successful team generating £5M with planned incremental growth over the next three years.

We have secured significant funding from the GLA. Our goal is to retain and build upon this, gaining multiyear strategic statutory funding both from central government, local government, and through the individual London boroughs.

You will have a track record delivering Statutory income. You will assess the performance of our statutory funding, working in partnership with the Head of Community Engagement to map a pipeline of potential funds, pinpointing key influencing and decision-making contacts. As part of business planning, you will evaluate the needs of commissioners, working with The Felix Project service delivery teams and finance to create funding bids which are framed to deliver the funders goals, whilst ideally covering the charity’s core costs.

The Felix Project has recently established a Policy Unit. You will work closely with the team to understand the advocacy strategy which has the potential to provide substantiation for funding bids through insight and elevate Felix’s position in the market as a lead and trusted public service delivery solution.

You will be used to working with impact teams from the creation of a funding bid, to establish direct and indirect measures of success which will provide the data points required by funders and help support Felix’s position as a multi-year delivery partner.

You will be confident writing detailed reports meeting funders needs and collaborating with teams across the charity to bring alive the impact of our work.

The role involves frequent collaboration with key internal partners at all levels to inform engagement with funders, including the Charity’s CEO and Trustees. Occasionally we would expect you to work evenings and weekends at networking or fundraising events.

Trust and Foundations income forms 50% of the team’s current revenue. Directed by the Head of Statutory, Trusts and Foundations, and working in partnership with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will cultivate existing funders with the aim to secure repeat and grow funding; you will manage and add to an agreed pipeline of warm, lapsed and cold funders securing commitment through great research, understanding of a funders goals, inspiring bid writing, and attentive stewardship.

Because of the impactful work of The Felix Project, fundraising for this cause is very rewarding. During COVID and the current cost-of-living crisis we have focused primarily on our social impact, providing nutritious surplus food and prepared meals from Felix’s Kitchen to Londoners in need. We provide the food for free to over 1000 community organisations, primary schools and children’s holiday programmes across all boroughs. The environmental impact we have by rescuing huge amounts of good quality surplus food from farms and a wide variety of food suppliers is another exciting angle to approach funders with.

In addition, we are piloting youth volunteering and employability programmes, and at times we have exciting tech and capital projects to raise funds for.

Job Purpose 

To co-ordinate core services, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and cover as required through creating monthly rotas. To ensure that drop-in services are run in line with POW’s guidance and values, being inclusive and supportive with appropriate boundaries in place to role model healthy relationships to service users. To be responsible for co-ordinating volunteers supporting the core service delivery, taking a supervisory role to ensure they are satisfied and safe in their roles.

Women at the Well is a support service for women based in the King’s Cross area of central London. We provide practical support and advocacy to women facing a wide range of disadvantages, and we have a specialism in working with women whose lives have been affected by prostitution and/or sexual exploitation.

We run three inter-related services: (1) a women only drop-in service, where food, laundry, showers and gentle activities are available without any pressure to undertake anything else; (2) an advocacy service from our King’s Cross hub where assigned key workers support women to access their entitlements and more; and (3) an outreach service where we visit areas of London where women are rough sleeping as well as hostels and other settings. In everything we do we are trauma informed, holistic and woman-centred. We take referrals from many external partners and while we have a hub-centre in Kings Cross we are a pan-London service.

We are currently recruiting for two roles in our small and friendly support worker team doing vital and life-saving work with very marginalised women. We are seeking: an Outreach Support Worker (works shifts in the community, with some time spent at King’s Cross hub); and an Inhouse Support Worker(based at our King’s Cross hub), both on 9 months contracts with a possibility of extension.

About NUM: 

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is an award-winning charity with a mission to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers.’ NUM provides a mechanism for sex industry workers to report crimes and harm they experience and share this information within their communities to warn others of potentially dangerous individuals and situations.

We have a dedicated casework team of industry experts who support sex workers to further access criminal justice remedies and other services as determined by victims/survivors to cope and recover from crimes they experience in the ways they choose. We also host a range of other projects in racial justice, mental health, drop-in support (Scotland), and vocational exploration.

About the Team:

The NUM Case Work Team NUM’s mandate is to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers’ and operates under three key principles: Sex Workers’ First, Quality Support, and Learning and Innovation. The NUM Case Work team offers victim support to prevent and heal from violence to adults of all genders involved in sex industries. The postholder will provide support to NUM members and non-members who identify as having experienced harm and violence during their work. Services are provided digitally and online, and in-person services.

The post is part of a unique partnership between National Ugly Mugs, POW (Nottingham) and Basis Yorkshire, to ensure more specialist support for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence, to develop good practice guidelines, and to develop and share learning that will influence change in health inclusion for sex workers. Each organisation will be employing a SWISVA; the program will be led by a Program Coordinator, who will be based with Basis Yorkshire, who will lead on policy development work.

Person Specification:

A successful candidate should have the following experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with women who face barriers to accessing support services such as health housing and the criminal justice
• Experience and understanding of working in accordance to core safeguarding legislation to support victims of sexual violence

About Us: Ashford & Tenterden Umbrella has been providing social support and a safe space to all members of our community for more than 30 years. We have a focus on those who may find themselves in vulnerable situations such as mental health struggles, loneliness, bereavement and learning disabilities.

We offer a free drop-in service open to all, three days a week in central Ashford. Our team is passionate about making a real difference, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Charity Manager to help us deliver the service to current users and potential new users who may benefit from our service.

Role Overview: As the Charity Manager, you will be at the heart of our organisation, overseeing daily operations, managing resources, and assisting with strategic initiatives. You will report directly to the trustees and you will assist in managing our small team of staff and volunteers to ensure our programmes run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations at our drop-in service, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all activities. One or more trustees are generally presenta at these sessions and they will provide support during your induction period.
• Assist the Treasurer with budget management, financial planning, and reporting. (No special skills are assumed but a willingness to use or learn some basic MS Excel processes is expected.)
• Assist with recruitment, training, and management of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Assist with compliance and policy, as it applies to the charity. 
• Updating elements of the charity website from time to time, by changing text and adding images, with support from our external web team. (No specialist skills are expected, but a willingness to gain some skills is expected.)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the community.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes, using data to drive improvements and demonstrate impact.

Qualifications:

• Proven management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Computer literate and willing to learns skills in any familiar IT, as required to manage the charity.

OVERVIEW

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.

Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.

As a Rising Sun Administrator you will be a key member of our frontline team working alongside specialist domestic abuse workers and providing essential support as a valued member of the team.

You will be involved in a range of tasks that contribute to the smooth running of our services, including processing incoming referrals and answering our main office phoneline, dealing with referral queries as well as supporting survivors to access support. You will also be involved in coordinating our group programmes for survivors, and our One Stop Shop drop ins.

As the first point of contact for both professionals and survivors you will be instrumental in ensuring they feel heard and supported, through your empathetic and understanding response.

In addition to day to day administrative tasks you will have the opportunity to attend training and learn about our domestic abuse services and the Rising Sun Framework which underpins everything we do. There are also regular team meetings and activities to promote wellbeing which are a great way to get to know your amazing colleagues.

We are looking for an organised, flexible and proactive individual who enjoys learning and is confident at following processes and using MS Word and Excel.

As part of our passionate and committed team of approximately 50 staff, our aspiration is that you will thrive and develop in this varied role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Admin Tasks

• Process incoming referrals to our services
• Liaise with referrers and team members as required and respond to queries efficiently
• Coordinate participants and materials for survivor group programmes and team training sessions
• Coordinate the rota for One Stop Shop drop-ins
• Respond to enquiries received via our phone or admin email account
• Work as part of a team to ensure the phone line is answered at times advertised on our website and coordinate call-backs to survivors from DA workers if needed
• Provide one-off/short term support to survivors calling the phone line, such as listening, information about available services, basic safety planning, completing a referral form
• Input information to spreadsheets and our case management system
• Develop our administrative processes to improve effectiveness
• Work with and provide support to the wider team as required

Youth Worker (Women's Worker) – 9 Month Maternity Cover
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate team player to join our growing team as a full-time Youth Worker (Women’s Worker) on a fixed term 9-month maternity cover contract. 
In this role, you will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in sharing knowledge and expertise in gender-informed work, leading the delivery of our weekly Women and Non-Binary space, facilitating group sessions and supporting a caselist of young women experiencing multiple and complex needs.
Ideally you should be experienced in working with young people aged 18-25 and/or have demonstrable experience working directly with women (of any age). You will understand gender informed practice and have experience or transferable skills working with those who are survivors of domestic violence and other gender-based violence. You will also be committed to the safeguarding of all young people and delivering an inclusive and trauma-informed service.
You should be experienced designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities, able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment and be skilled in engaging a diverse range of young people in positive activities.

We’re looking for an innovative and creative leader to manage SIG Safe Ground’s flagship Family Service. A first of its kind, the Family Service at HMP Altcourse brings together creative interventions for men in custody, bespoke family counselling and daily practical support for families visiting a loved one. Leading this ground breaking service you will work alongside internal & external staff teams to reimagine what family support is within the criminal justice system, working to influence a culture shift at HMP Altcourse and the wider prison system.

SIG Safe Ground are experts in delivering arts-based, therapeutically informed group work, celebrating 30 years of working in prisons in 2025. We’re looking for an action-orientated individual who is passionate about developing creative, family-led ways of working to best support those in crisis. You’ll join a reflective, dynamic team of facilitators, counsellors and family liaison workers supporting those with experience of the criminal justice system to build a practical toolbox to cope and move forward positively. 

Rota: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.30pm, Flexible hours when programme delivery is taking place 7.30am - 5pm
