About the role:
As a Recruitment/HR Administrator, you will be joining a small dedicated Recruitment team providing an effective and efficient recruitment service to meet the organisation’s resourcing and staffing needs. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries and requests to the team; providing a high level of customer service throughout the recruitment cycle.
You will also be responsible for carrying out the administrative tasks for the recruitment and on-boarding of new staff and ensuring that our recruitment processes, continue to adhere to best practice, equality, fairness and relevant employment legislation. You will also be involved in the wider HR team's Projects on EDI and organisational changes, this will include designing and delivering training to hiring managers and wider SHP staff.
As an integral part of the HROD team you will have the opportunity to welcome new starters into the organisation with a positive attitude and insight into a flourishing career at SHP.
There is ample opportunity for the role to be worked from home, with an occasional need (e.g., 1-2 days per week) to attend our head office in King's Cross to facilitate interviews, attend team meetings and other business needs.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a busy office environment within HR and or recruitment with experience of working with and maintaining HR and Recruitment systems, including but not limited to ATS (applicant tracking system), payroll, HR and DBS services.
- A strong understanding of the key administrative tasks carried out within a recruitment process and of the legal requirements of the recruitment process and HR department.
- A pro-active approach and ability to work using own initiative.
- Able to understand and follow written policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality and securely protect data with an attention to detail with the ability to process and update information accurately.
- Strong time management skills, able to effectively manage workload, multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to use MS Office package (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook) at an intermediate level.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of people from candidates to hiring managers etc. and ability to work effectively as part of a team and build good working relationships at all levels.

About Victoria Hall Harrow
The Victoria Hall Harrow charity started in 1888, with the aim of building a high quality venue for the people of Harrow to come together and to build community. Since then our venue Victoria Hall has been rebuilt twice, most recently reopening to the public in Summer 2021. We also created a new charity some years back (a CIO), transferring the assets of the old charity over. For this reason our Charity Commission listing below is not representative of our current financial position and our assets.
For around 140 years Victoria Hall has provided space for rent to local residents and groups. It has been used for every possible purpose - parties, events, activities, conferences and much more.
More recently the trustee board have embarked on a renewed strategy process, and we are now relaunching the charity as a partnership-first community centre, that identifies local needs and uses our assets to best meet those needs, working with a wide range of partners to serve the local diverse communities.
In June 2024 we agreed our new Vision and Mission. We are still now working through the overall draft of our strategy, which we will be happy to share with you as soon as it is ready in 1st draft form.

Role Summary
As our first CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Victoria Hall. You will be responsible for leading the organisation through this exciting transition, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, partners, and the wider community. This is a unique opportunity to build on our rich history and create a vibrant community hub that makes a real difference in people's lives.
The charity is in a solid financial position, which will enable us with the correct leadership in place to make real progress in our Vision and Mission. Our premises are new and extremely high quality, and very well located. There is a serious lack of high quality community space in Harrow, and we know already that there is significant demand and interest from a whole range of groups who serve the local diverse community.
You will lead us in identifying what the most important and pressing needs are in our local community, and how best to meet those using our resources. You will create effective and impactful partnerships with local residents, community groups and charities, plus businesses and the statutory sector, to meet the needs identified.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement Victoria Hall's strategic vision, ensuring alignment with our mission and values, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the community centre, including financial management, fundraising, marketing, and facilities management.

As VHH is a very small charity, you will be fully hands on in all possible areas of strategy, governance and operations. You will need to be comfortable across all areas for which you will be responsible.

About the role:
The Young Women’s Keyworker will work with young women aged 15-24 to provide specialist 1:1 support to those referred into the service. The service is designed to be a “whole system” response to women and girls in the Criminal Justice System, so a key part of the role will include building relationships with statutory and VCS agencies, to support and encourage more young women to access the Minerva service, as well as setting up specialist referral pathways for young women in the community.
About You:
To be successful as the Young Women’s Keyworker you will:
Bring an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the Criminal Justice System. Have a strong understanding of the context and challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic violence, mental health, and sexual health.
Bring a significant experience of working with young women experiencing issues related to offending and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and have proven practical experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques with young women and girls, using a woman-centred approach to build trust and rapport. You will demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, developing and maintaining strong constructive working relationships.

Do you have experience in successfully managing complex projects, ideally in a not-for -profit environment? We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to develop and shape programmes to successfully deliver against the Church of England’s ambitious target to become net-zero by 2030.
This role will be working across both Rochester and Canterbury Diocese and the successful applicant will need to have current working knowledge of environmental and climate issues.
This is a new role which is funded for two years.
Key Responsibilities
The post-holder(s) will:
- Oversee the ongoing development and delivery of the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programmes for both dioceses.
- Maximise the alignment of the plans for each diocese as far as is practical to optimise the benefit of working together in partnership, and actively identify and develop opportunities for partnership working in delivery. Specifically, to develop a NZC action plan for Rochester including managing the adoption of the plan by the appropriate governance committees. (Note: Canterbury already has an approved NZC action plan.)
- Develop, maintain and deliver an implementation plan which highlights the strategic activities, has clear objectives and impact measures; including evaluation.
- Working with other diocesan colleagues, oversee the planning and development of decarbonisation projects to deliver the ambitions and targets in the NZC Action plans.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have a track record of delivering complex multi-stakeholder projects, ideally in a not-for-profit environment with and understanding of environmental and climate issue. An understanding of how these issues affect the Church of England would be beneficial.

About the role
Demand for support for people experiencing homelessness is changing and we have a vacancy in our front facing Engagement and Assessment service.
This service provides first line support to people experiencing homelessness, assessing their needs, identifying support, and working with other staff and services to address their homelessness.
We need someone to join this team as a receptionist to increase our capacity to respond to new and existing members of Crisis.
As the first point of contact, our Engagement and Assessment service greets individuals who are experiencing homelessness or facing a risk of homelessness. You will be working in a fast paced and often challenging environment, explaining and guiding people through the Crisis service offer, and signposting to other local support services. You will need to create a welcoming and encouraging environment, to ensure that people seeking support feel understood and respected.
No two days are the same, and you will be greeting people, helping signpost to appropriate services and responding to telephone and email enquires in a positive and supportive way. This is a key role as you will be part of a members journey out of homelessness, right from their first presentation.
About you
As a receptionist you have a real opportunity to demonstrate your compassion and empathy for people experiencing homelessness as our first point of contact at Crisis.
Sometimes visitors are distressed by their situation and this role would suit someone who is both resilient and compassionate.
You will need to have strong communication skills, be able to listen and respond even when people are demonstrating their distress through their language and behaviour. This is where you will demonstrate confidence in your ability to assertively challenge inappropriate behaviour and de-escalate conflict.
You will develop professional relationships with our members who regularly attend and become part of their progression out of the most difficult of personal circumstances. Our current team tell us how rewarding and motivating this can be.
You will need to be able to help manage the reception area, spot potential concerns and safety issues and respond to these to ensure that reception is a safe space for new and existing members, and other colleagues.
You will have experience of working with vulnerable people, balancing this together with an excellent level of customer service, IT skills and an ability to accurately record sensitive information.
You will be interested in evolving your skills and playing an active role as we continue to develop our Engagement and Assessment service further.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Our role is to champion the specialty, set standards of training and practice, and influence change to make a difference to the lives of patients with eye conditions.
Main Purpose
This role is an exciting opportunity for you to play a leading role in the development and delivery of our new membership strategy. You will understand membership dynamics and ensure members experience a personalised approach that guarantees value to them.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that the membership offer and experience is optimised. This includes our regional and devolved nation leads, where you will support our activities, recruitment and engagement of members in these areas.
You will drive member engagement and lead the recruitment and onboarding of new members to the College as well as manage the promotion and election process for member opportunities within the college.
You will also represent the college both nationally and internationally, working closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement to build on our presence and voice, reaching new audiences and attracting new members.
Key responsibilities
- manage resources and budgets, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while developing and delivering strategic and tactical plans
- deliver the college membership strategy, working to ensure relevant employees and College members are involved in the activities identified to drive innovation and improvements
- provide clear and concise membership reporting to help key stakeholders understand our membership position and any areas of concern or opportunities for growth
- ensure membership value proposition is clearly communicated and understood across the organisation and ensure all website content is up to date and consistent

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. The Role of New Worshipping Communities Coordinator
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with both good administration and people skills to join us and provide support to the Director of New Worshipping Communities as we work to launch 150 New Worshipping Communities. The role has a focus on the creation and facilitation of learning community events to support leaders of New Worshipping Communities.
The main responsibilities of the New Worshipping Communities Coordinator are:
Working with the Director of New Worshipping Communities on the logistics of event organising, liaising with contributors and attendees and assisting with publicity. Facilitating Learning Communities through working with the national Myriad team and local Mission Hub leaders to put together excellent support for pioneering lay leaders.
