The Head of Service will be the strategic and operational lead ensuring delivery of consistent and high-quality performance across the Housing Related Support directorate. The successful candidate will ensure that all Services are run effectively, well managed financially and employees are performing at high levels.

Purpose of Role
The Portfolio Manager will play a key role in the success of the team responsible for Comic Relief’s funding programme focused on tackling the effects of poverty.
The Portfolio Manager will hold direct responsibility for a number of investments with Funded Partners, both in the UK and internationally, ensuring excellent grant making practice, and be responsible for managing funding calls.
The Portfolio Manager will regularly collaborate within the team and across the organisation to support Comic Relief’s overall objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Funding management and relationships
Manage assigned funding portfolios and relationships with funded partners, ensuring that the portfolio is managed in a timely and responsive way, using Comic Relief's (CR's) systems and processes.
Manage all requirements, such as narrative, financial and risk reporting, collaborating across the funding team and wider Comic Relief as appropriate.
Work with the Assurance and Finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance across the portfolio with legal requirements, our grant conditions, reporting requirements and best practice.
Ensure or contribute to donor reporting and other information needs for external and internal use, such as information about our funded work and our partners.
Cross team/organization/sector collaboration
Coordinate with other funding team colleagues, including supporting other funding programmes when needed.
Work with the Partnerships Team to support strong relationships with existing and potential co-funding partners, including corporates and/or trusts, foundations and institutions, and support proposal development, reporting and other requirements.
Work collaboratively across CR to support storytelling around CR's impact.
Contribute to internal communications regarding the work of the Effects of Poverty team and the wider Funding Team.
Represent CR with strategic partners and co-funders, in relevant networks, and at external events.
General
Develop a basic understanding of all areas of social change that are prioritised by CR.

Community Coffee Shop Supervisor, to serve customers and maintain high standards in SCT x Paper and Cup.
Role and responsibilities
- Greet Customers in a warm, friendly and welcoming manner
- Always maintain excellent customer relations with clear communication
- Brew excellent coffee and beverages including ‘latte art’
- Prepare orders to customers specifications
- Maintain excellent level of hygiene in food preparation and service areas
- Ensure high level of personal hygiene and appearance (including the wearing of protective clothing at all times)

- Follow cash handling procedures, policies, use of the cash register and ability to ‘cash up’ at the end of your shift as and when required

This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.
Purpose of Role
This Project Manager will join the Business Services team at an exciting time as we launch new projects to improve our ways of working across the organisation. A number of key cross organisational strategic projects have been identified to enable Comic Relief to deliver against its five year strategy.
The successful candidate will be instrumental to our success by providing overarching planning, management, and coordination of select projects within Comic Relief’s programme of strategic projects; working with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure planning processes, project governance and reporting is developed and embedded into all activities.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Comic Relief as it makes changes to enable the organisation to succeed in achieving our vision of a Just World Free from Poverty.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee a portfolio of projects, taking on the project management responsibility for selected cross- organisational strategic projects (managing multiple projects simultaneously).
Manage projects through their entire lifecycle, from briefing and scoping to set up, governance, planning, task management, communication, coordination and tracking, and reporting.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts across the organisation to review key processes, including facilitating workshops and offering expertise and resource as required.
Work with Project Teams to ensure active management of dependencies and risks, acting as an intermediary and supporting issue resolution.
Facilitate Steering Group meetings to ensure effective project management, timely decision making, and resolution of escalated risks and issues.
Identify and manage complex dependencies and risks across the programme, taking corrective action or escalating issues when necessary.
Utilise tracking and reporting tools, as well as briefings and huddles, to ensure project progress is communicated, adjusting these as projects evolve.
Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure consistency and alignment in the execution of projects.
Promote project management best practices and identify learning opportunities to foster efficient and innovative ways of working.

Essential criteria
An in-depth understanding of project management methodologies and experience of working with different approaches.
Experience in developing and implementing new systems, tools and processes
Experience of monitoring and evaluation of project performance, including objective setting, developing toolkits, reporting and driving the learning process with stakeholders to achieve ongoing effectiveness.
A sound understanding of project budget development and analysis.
Effective relationship builder with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different styles and ways of working.

About the role:
This role is based in Blackpool predominantly covering Lancaster, Fylde and Wyre but there may be a requirement to cover other areas of the county. Hybrid working will be available.
As an IDVA you will be:
- working with victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic violence, supporting them to keep themselves safe, understand their rights and options and support them through the Criminal Justice process (when required)
- completing risk assessments and safety plans
- working with partner agencies to develop multi-agency plans to support victims effectively
You will need:
- a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse
- preferably experience of working with victims at high risk of harm
- an IDVA accreditation or willingness to work towards one
- excellent communication skills as well as empathy
- good levels or organisation and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. Surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful woodland garden St Joseph's hospice cares for around 200 patients, and their families, every year from across a diverse geographical area, which includes Sefton, Liverpool and West Lancashire.
It is one of the oldest hospices in the country, for over 50 years the hospice has been passionate about providing high-quality, professional nursing care within a peaceful, home from home environment.
"My father-in-law spent the last few weeks of his life there and the care he and his family received was second to none. Being perfectly honest when my turn comes if I am not lucky enough to die peacefully in my sleep then this is where I would want to be.".
All of the invaluable services the hospice provides, which include bereavement services, are entirely free of charge to patients and their families despite costing around £10k per day to run, so the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Community & Events Fundraiser to join the ambitious and dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice.
The Role
As a Community & Events Fundraiser you will be responsible for developing and implementing a programme of vibrant, commercially successful fundraising events. Duties will include:
- Managing community fundraising and building relationships with donors to maximise income.
- Recruiting and managing the Fundraising volunteers.
- Supporting the Income & Business Development Manager in delivering the annual objectives and targets.
- Attending third party fundraising events to offer support and promote the hospice within the community
The Person
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have excellent people skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others. Proven experience of fundraising and events would be desirable; however, we are keen to hear from people with transferable backgrounds including volunteering, business development, sales or account management.
You will have a creative and proactive approach to all areas of work, with the capability to successfully lead a team by example and collaborate with others. You will also have superb numeracy and planning skills with a flair for social media.
With strong written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for fundraising, community and events, this could be the next rewarding step in your fundraising career.
