Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance and managing a team of three, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and control of the Financial Reporting function within the group. The key duties of this role are as follows:

• Production of the group’s budget in consultation with budget holders.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts in conjunction with budget holders to ascertain required explanations / proposed actions.
• Preparation of quarterly financial reports for the Executive Management Team and the Board, including a meaningful analysis of variances to budget and forecast.
• Lead on the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts and being a key point of contact for the external auditors.
• Oversee timely submission of the regulatory returns.
• Work closely with the Financial Services Manager on finance system development and enhancements.
• Oversee provision of proactive and value-added finance business partnering services to operational teams.
• Lead, motivate and support the Assistant Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners to provide a professional and high-quality customer focused service

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified as an accountant with five years’ post qualification experience.
• Proven experience of competently producing budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
• Proven ability of producing statutory accounts and leading the annual external audit.
• Experience of managing staff, including setting objectives and monitoring performance.
• Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with the wider finance team.
• Ability to produce concise information and analysis to support decision making.
• Experience of working in a medium-sized or large organisations in the social housing or property sectors.
• Strong verbal, written and presentational skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

A London-based Museum is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee the running of the finance directorate. This is a key role in the Museum, leading the finances from all aspects including budgeting and financial planning, oversight of day to day financial operations, and year end processes. The role is available owing to an internal secondment and therefore is offered on an 18 - 24 month duration. Your profile:

• You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with strong experience of both financial reporting and overseeing budget setting processes.
• You will have experience of managing staff and helping to develop and mentor teams of a medium to larger size. 

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover.  You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

You’ll process payroll for our small team of 6 employees, taking care of liaison with HMRC as well as handling external audit and company filing.

Your role:

The Grantmaking Operations team sits within the Fund’s Operations department and is primarily focused on ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organizations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Grantmaking

• Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a highly complex and high-volume portfolio of grants spanning 50+ countries.
  • Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
  • Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and flag potential areas of risk to the Manager of Grantmaking Policy and Models.
  • Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
  • Coordinate with Program and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee relationships are managed according to their risk level and operating context.

    • Prepare and organize applicant materials and prospective grantee documents for all LEF cohorts.

Database and Systems Administration

• Contribute to the management of the Fund’s grants management system.
  • Maintain accurate grant and grantee records – updating grant, organization and contact records daily, updating budget trackers periodically and ensuring OFAC compliance.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for colleagues across departments, as needed.
  • Code all grantmaking requests and budgeting information.
• Enhance the grants management system functionalities, including coding and back-end development for improved user experience and data integrity.

  • Support engagement with all project stakeholders, gathering and integrating feedback to improve project management processes.
  • Proactively identify risks associated with projects; recommending effective solutions to ensure successful implementation.
  • Inform the scheduling and coordination of project activities, including meetings and deadlines, in coordination with Legal Empowerment Fund team.

Your Team:

This position is part of the Fund’s Grantmaking Operations Team. The team is comprised of one Director, two Managers and four Specialists spread between the US and UK offices. This position will report to the Manager of Systems & Projects and will be based in the UK or US.

You Have - Candidates should demonstrate the following range of skills, experience, and qualities:

• Three years of relevant work experience, e.g., managing workflows, projects, and processes + at least one year of complementary education or experience working in human rights, program, or fundraising

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager to join the HR team on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for leading and supporting in the delivery of our staff training programme, overseeing all our people development activities, and ensuring that our statutory training requirements are met. We want the staff training experience to be impactful, positive, engaging, and meaningful to provide our workforce with all the skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to deliver first-class support to our young people, whatever their role.

As well as commissioning external training, we currently deliver a variety of online and face-to-face training in-house - First Aid, CPR, GDPR, Manual Handling, NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) to name a few. Our largest cohort for training is our care and support staff in our college, residential houses, adult day service, and supported living houses. We also have to ensure effective training is delivered for our estates team, catering staff, office staff, and our leaders and managers.

This role works closely with the senior leadership team to ensure a good understanding of business needs and the different operational teams to help propose the right training solutions delivered in the most impactful and cost-effective way to drive forward our strategic goals.

As part of the role, you will manage the in-house training system and staff training records and frequently update the training matrix, ensuring information is correct in a timely manner to issue monthly/termly reports to managers.

About you

You may be a training manager or have been involved in planning or delivering effective training for your staff team. Training experience within a health and social care setting is desirable. You need to have an understanding of the breadth of training required by an organisation like InFocus across very different operational teams. You will need good organisation skills and be pragmatic in finding the most effective ways to meet our training needs within a tight budget! You will also need to be a creative, confident person with excellent presentation skills who takes pride in delivering interactive, first-class training, ensuring all participants have a positive experience. A great aspect of this role is that you will work with lots of different staff across the organisation such as managers, care staff, therapists, nurses, and teachers, so being a people person who is able to form strong working relationships at all levels and engage and motivate people is a must.

Our Wales Delivery team are looking for someone who’s enthusiastic and well connected to the tech and digital sector in South Wales to become the new Digital Manager in Cardiff.

We deliver a range of programmes to support young people to develop their digital skills and move into employment; in tech/digital roles, or roles that are enabled through digital skills. You will develop new and maintain existing partnerships with employers and partners in the digital and tech sector in Wales, specifically to provide employment outcome opportunities for young people within our target groups.

The key aspects of the role include:

• Supporting young people into employment outcomes

• Ensure The Prince's Trust is connected to employers and employment networks and training providers in the Cardiff City Region and South Wales region

Role description

Title: Interim General Manager

Contract: 24 hours per week (3 days). 6 month temporary contract (extended leave cover)

Location: Remote and at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre 

Salary: £50,470.00 full-time pa; pro rata

Our General Manager is going on an extended leave, so we are looking for someone who can lead the team, continue our fundraising efforts and generally hold the fort for six months. 

Some of the key milestones of the period the new General Manager will be responsible for include: supporting the team in hosting a fundraising event, meeting key grant writing deadlines, supporting Finance Lead in producing the end of year accounts and all on-going financial reporting, renewing corporate sponsorship agreements with current partners.

We are interested in hearing from individuals who could cover all areas of the role including fundraising (3 days / week); as well as those who could take on the General Manager role but might not have fundraising experience (2 days / week) and fundraisers (specifically with experience in writing grants) who might prefer a part time assignment such as this (1 day / week).

We are open to recruiting one person or two depending on candidates’ experiences and preferences.

The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an award-winning charity launched by a team of volunteers in 2017. In December 2021 we opened our first physical space in London’s bankside.

About the role

The Senior Communications and Marketing Manager will join the Trust at an exciting time and be responsible for providing first-class customer service to the local community who use this much-loved greenspace for rest, relaxation and exercise, as well as the promotion of the park as a unique visitor attraction.

The role will support the Trust to expand and diversify our audience and supporter base through creative, targeted and effective marketing of events and programming.
