About the team

This is an important role based in a busy Operations team which covers office management, information technology, finance and human resources. The team play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its mission of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.

The Operations team comprises the Director of Finance and Operations, HR and Learning Manager, Head of Finance, HR Officer, Finance and Operations Assistant and a part time Administrator. Payroll and IT support are outsourced.

About this role

We are looking for a talented professional with a strong understanding of CRM and digital systems and a passion for maximising the value of data, who is looking to join an organisation where they can put their skills to use across all aspects of our operations. You will join at a key time to develop and embed our work in this area, providing critical support to all our teams as well as maintaining and developing our cross-organisation systems.

You will lead on the development, administration, and staff engagement with, and training on, our Salesforce CRM system. This will include data from, and working with, all departments of Impetus, including our donors and prospects, our collaboration with partner charities, and our communications with email audiences. You will also manage the relationship with our existing Salesforce partner agency, drawing on them for additional support resource and coordinating broader development projects. The successful candidate will have experience developing and drawing value from Salesforce, including both technical development and collaborating closely with teams to drive engagement and best practice.

You will be responsible for our other cross-organisational digital systems, including our office and file storage platforms, data warehouse, visualisation, and ETL tools, website analytics, and Digital Asset Management system, as well as providing support for our Finance and HR systems, including providing training to staff and answering any questions related to these systems. You will collaborate closely with our Communications team, for example around website and social media analytics and reviewing the progress of the social media strategy. From time to time you may also be asked to provide support or advice to our portfolio charities. The role will also be responsible for helping to drive adoption of GenAI across Impetus.

As the sole technical and digital specialist role at Impetus, this position requires a collaborative individual who can work across diverse teams while also operating independently with a high level of autonomy. You will take ownership of CRM and systems for a dynamic, inquisitive, and growing organisation, helping to drive its growth and impact.

Key responsibilities

CRM:

• Own the development and administration of our Salesforce system.
• Work with all teams at Impetus to maximise their engagement with Salesforce and provide relevant training.
• Manage the relationship with our Salesforce support partner to leverage additional administration, and development project, resource.
• Ensure data quality and integrity within Salesforce.
• Gather information and data to identify business requirements and processes for adding to, or further developing on, Salesforce. 
• Evaluate technical solutions in terms of meeting business requirements. 
• Develop reporting within Salesforce. 
• Answer staff queries and ad hoc requests.

Systems Management:

• Administer, maintain, and develop core organisational systems, including our office and file storage platforms, data visualisation and ETL tools, website analytics, Digital Asset Management system, and Finance and HR systems.
• Ensure effective knowledge management across our internal systems.
• Provide support to staff on these systems, including training, and answering any queries and ad hoc requests.
• Lead the development of the visualisation of core organisational and team data, as well as managing the underlying data.
• Maintain and develop our data warehouse.
• Collaborate with our outsourced IT partner to ensure the availability, resilient operation, and development of our systems.
• Aid the development of a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making across Impetus.

Person specification

Essential:

• Advanced knowledge of, and significant experience with, Salesforce development in a professional context.
• Experience around ensuring compliance with GDPR and cybersecurity frameworks e.g. CyberEssentials.
• Significant experience of collaborating closely with varied non-technical stakeholders to determine requirements, evaluate solutions, and plan development.

Build Up is a charity that runs practical construction projects across London, supporting young people aged 10-23 years old to shape their local area. We’re looking for a Programme Manager to join us and lead the delivery of these projects.

The role

You’ll coordinate Build Up’s year-round programme of youth-led design and construction projects, managing two Construction Project Managers to deliver them. You’ll develop project ideas selected by our young people and support our team to set up strong working partnerships. Overseeing Build Up’s pipeline of new projects and working with our fundraisers and partners to bring them to fruition will be central to your role.

Our client is a grant-making charity, established in 2020, with a vision to transform young people’s mental health support in the UK. The charity envisions a world where no young person is defined by their mental illness and where they have access to the right support at the right time.

The organisation invests in services and research that prevent and treat mental illness in young people, with a specific focus on the prevention and early intervention in anxiety and depression for 11–25-year-olds. They are interested in non-clinical approaches and building a stronger evidence base for what is effective. Prospectus is delighted to be working with our client as they seek to appoint a permanent Team Executive Assistant to their small team. The position is offered on a full-time basis with 4 days a week in the London office (remainder from home).

The role:

Reporting to the Director, the main purpose of the Team Executive Assistant will be to help this fast-growing organisation run super smoothly. This is a chance to join a charity early in its evolution, to shape an organisation and to be involved in an area you are passionate about.

This will be a key role at the charity in a small team of six people and will be responsible for building and improving efficient administrative processes and procedures which support the Director, Trustees and wider team. This person will lead on efficient diary management for the Director, Head of Grants and Head of Sector Engagement, will oversee the Director’s email inbox, will drive the board papers and committee servicing process by ensuring papers are prepared on time, minutes are taken and actions complete and will coordinate with the company secretary for basic governance actions. This person will also be responsible for operational planning, so the whole team has sight of what is happening and the dependencies between activities.

This role will also ensure a smooth monthly approval and payment process for grants and miscellaneous costs, will carry out basic research into potential grants in addition to preparing biographies and summarising articles. They will coordinate the organisation of a small events calendar, co-ordinating with contributors, suppliers and guests, drafting briefings and guest lists and on the day logistics. Most gatherings take place at the Foundation offices. Finally, this person will be responsible for website updating, creating communicative relationships with the Trustees and Advisory Panel, which includes young people and will maintain clear records on SALESFORCE to capture activity and operational progress. This is very much a lynchpin role which is at the heart of the smooth running of the Trust.

The person:

The successful candidate will have clear and demonstrated Executive Assistant experience where they will have supported a CEO and Senior Management Team in running a business or ideally a charity, trust or foundation perhaps. They will be highly organised and a naturally helpful and communicative person. They will have substantial diary management, events coordination and committee servicing experience in addition to being an effective minute taker, technology (Word, Excel, CRM Databases) confident and a social media savvy operator. Positive, methodical, creative and solutions driven, this person will have experience of creating collaborative and productive relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Our client is a Charity which specialisies in the provision of high-quality independent living accommodation for people of limited financial means.  They are searching for a qualified Finance Manger to work with their leadership team, based in the Hounslow area.

The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is accountable to the Charity Directors and Finance Committee. The post is responsible for running and maintaining the Charity’s financial matters and records, including production of the management accounts and preparation of the draft annual report and the development of budgets and forecasts for strategic projects and other initiatives.  This is a key role, working with a great team and one that contributes directly to the smooth running of the Charity.

Main purpose of the job

The role leads on the delivery of Bond’s corporate and CEO level events. This role is managed by the Head of Communications but also works with the corporate and marketing team, the Director of Membership and Communications and CEO.

The primary focus of this role is to manage and deliver high-quality events for Bond’s corporate partners to help them reach their target audiences, and to deliver high level events for CEOs and senior leaders across our network to help provide senior leaders with the support and skills needed to provide effective and supportive leadership.  

Main responsibilities

Corporate events:

• Manage and deliver a range of events to fulfil contractual commitments with corporate partners and ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
• Oversee the successful execution and promotion of both hybrid and face-to-face events across various locations including potential European venues.
• Steward corporate partners in refining event ideas to align with Bond's audience and sector needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet partner expectations and contribute to revenue generation. Provide effective project management, overseeing all stages of event planning, execution, and evaluation.

CEO events:

Special projects:

 General

• Ensure the successful delivery of Bond corporate and CEO events both online and in person, where appropriate.
• Oversee events logistics, including working with any contractors, external booking systems and digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain the Bond corporate and CEO events schedule and ensure that project timelines are adhered to.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate would:

• Have at least 2 years’ experience of events organisation and management in a similar or comparable setting
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with corporate event sponsors or delivering paid for events
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with sponsors, event partners and participants.
• Be able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and manage relationships with Bond’s network of members. 
• Have a good understanding of how events can generate income

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE 

This new role will play a key part in ensuring strong financial management of the organisation’s financial resources. This position is key for both Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid and the postholder will work closely with all members of the finance team in delivering both the organisational and financial strategies.

The candidate will have confidence and experience in producing high quality and accurate management accounts and variance analysis, as well as proven FP&A experience in supporting a charity’s annual financial planning cycle. As the organisation moves into a new strategic cycle, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the development of financial systems and processes ensuring that the finance department evolves as required. 

As Senior Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the Director of Finance and Governance and will be directly line managing the Finance Manager. Supporting their development as they progress with their accounting qualifications will be a key requirement in this role, and you will have the opportunity to work with and mentor them through this.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead on the production of monthly management accounts for both entities (Helen Bamber Foundation & Asylum Aid) including variance analysis.

· Oversight of month end close process carried out by the Finance Manager ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

· Supporting the annual planning cycle including regular re-forecasts as well as the annual budget planning process.

· Provide reports and accurate project accounting for joint partnerships with other organisations.

· Support the development of devolved budgets and budget holder responsibilities across the organisation. Provide business partnering to future budget holders across the organisation.

· Lead on production of the annual financial statements in adherence with FRS102 and charity SORP. This includes review of the year-end adjustments and liaising with the communications team on production of the annual report.

· Play a leading role in the annual audit process, dealing with our external auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.

· Support cash flow forecasting ensuring that latest risks and opportunities are considered.

· Support the fundraising team with bid applications ensuring that budgets are accurate and aligned to strategy.

· Responsibility for the updating and implementation of key financial control procedures and policies across the organisation.

· Continually look to improve financial processes both within the finance team and across the organisation. This role will play a key role in delivering the financial strategy including systems development.

· Provide payroll cover as required – payroll is outsourced to an external payroll bureau.

· Provide good quality line management to the Finance Manager as well as indirectly to 2 part time Finance Assistants. Be seen as a leader within the organisation.

· Provide development opportunities for the finance team and in particular, to the Finance Manager who is undertaking their accounting qualifications.

· Adherence to key financial deadlines throughout the financial year (VAT returns, month end, financial year-end etc).

Head of Programmes

The Individual Giving Manager plays a pivotal role in transforming the lives of the people we support by developing and delivering an exceptional Individual Giving programme alongside our Fundraising Director. About the Role

Learning with Parents is recruiting for a School Partnership Manager to work closely with the Schools Team to develop partnerships with new schools and support them as they launch our programme. As School Partnership Manager, you will have a key role supporting schools through our Learning with Parents programme to ensure learning spans a meaningful partnership across schools and homes. 

We are scaling the number of schools who use our Reading Log in September. To ensure the success of this exciting development, we are increasing the capacity of our Schools Team to engage with new schools and onboard them onto our programmes.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

Overall purpose of the role

The Programme Funding Team (PFT) secures programme funding from UK and international statutory/institutional donors and ensures quality grant management and compliance - as well as being the resource for programme information for colleagues and trustees.  In addition, PFT supports other fundraising teams to achieve the organisational goal of raising £10 million per year as well as providing programme updates for trustees.  Being a small team, everyone is expected to take personal responsibility and use their initiative to achieve objectives and provide support where necessary.

The Grants Manager is responsible for three key areas of work –

i) Leading the grant management/compliance of restricted/statutory grants and other Orbis UK funding commitments. Strategic development
