This is a new and exciting opportunity for a seasoned climate campaigner to deploy their skills in new ways, developing change strategies that will shift the climate ambition and the investment decisions of key steel companies. The steel industry is a major driver of climate emissions and yet few in the industry feel urgency and few outside the industry know that. Your job will be to help us change that.

European-headquartered steelmakers account for a small share of production but have an important role to play in shaping a pathway for transforming the industry and setting the pace. There are companies that are innovating, while others that should be leading the way but are stuck in coal-based production. We are seeking a dynamic corporate campaigner based in Europe/Africa timezone who is able to use their creativity to design and implement campaigns to drive change in steel companies. 

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

SteelWatch is an international climate campaign organisation established in June 2023, driving corporate accountability and action in the steel sector. Our vision is a steel industry that underpins a thriving zero emissions economy. Our priority is that the steel industry gets on track for a 1.5 degree trajectory this side of 2030. 

We run corporate campaigns and challenge the global industry to replace complacency with urgent action.  We currently focus on OECD countries, and specifically in Europe and Japan at present, with team members in UK/Europe and Asia Pacific timezones.  As a young organisation, we are evolving, testing, and learning, and seek team members who will enjoy breaking new ground with us. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic Corporate Campaigner who will lead, develop and implement creative campaigns and strategies to drive change in steel companies. This will require using multiple pressure points across the steel value chain; shifting narratives, engaging with national campaigns,  exposing inadequacy of climate plans, harnessing investor pressure, driving demands for green steel and much more. The Corporate Campaigner will work closely with our CSO allies, notably from European Fossil Free Steel Network (EFFSN) and Fair Steel Coalition, to contribute to the impacts of the wider ecosystem and to sharply define the role of SteelWatch and its campaigns. This is likely to involve collaborations beyond Europe, in North America, Africa, Asia or Latin America. As a member of the first international climate NGO specialising in steel decarbonisation, you will work with other SteelWatch team members located across Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Europe. 

For the steel industry to move toward decarbonisation, technological advancement is not the only solution. We need to fundamentally drive  systemic changes to the long-held methods of steel production, the iron and steel value chain and the industrial structure, and going further, the relationship between the steel industry and the future of the decarbonised society. We are looking for someone who is able to use their creativity to engage not only in negotiations to achieve GHG emissions reductions, but also in critical thinking to provoke dialogues about what our climate needs from the industry’s corporate actors and other stakeholders today, to ensure a better future for people and the planet.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop campaign strategies and plans in collaboration with your analytical and communication colleagues and with partner organisations, where relevant;

• Track and monitor company and investment calendar, announcements and news to identify opportunities for driving change;

• Plan and deliver campaign outputs; public communications, on-ground activities, media appearance, corporate engagement and other tactics, responding to emerging campaign opportunities;

• Engage with relevant stakeholders, corporate actors, financial institutions, government officials, industry experts, in pursuit of the campaign strategy;

• Participate actively in coalition conversations and activities; 

• Undertake necessary research and report writing for the campaigns, working closely with the Steelwatch Steel Analyst;

• Give inputs to and deliver communication outputs and collaborate with the communication colleagues to respond timely to emerging news; 

• Contribute to measuring the impacts of the campaign and produce reports, including funder reports, where required;

• Other responsibilities assigned by the Campaigns Director.
               

APPLICATION CRITERIA

We seek applicants with several years experience in corporate campaigning and a track record of managing the A-Z of campaign delivery.  We will also consider, for entry at a more junior level, applicants with less experience but who have the campaigning mentality and strong delivery skills, with potential to grow in the role. Candidates with more substantial experience could be considered for a more senior role.  For candidates of any level of experience, an appetite to learn and grow in the role is expected, as this is pioneering work. 

Essential skills and experiences

• At least 6 years experience in designing and implementing campaigns; 

• Experience with change strategies that target corporate actors to change their behaviours and business models, and with driving climate action; 

• Ability to understand and articulate systemic problems and solutions; experience and/or appetite for change making; 

• Knowledge of and natural instinct to pick up on shifting socioeconomic contexts, societal narratives and political environments; 

• Ability to convey argument crisply and convincingly, verbally and in written form; 

• Ability to collaborate with effectively with a wide variety of partners, from allies to analysts to communication experts; 

• Proven strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple inputs and manage different deadlines, working on immediate tasks as well as longer pieces of work; 

• An appetite to work in a start-up, with all the curiosity, adaptivity and learning that it entails. 

Language requirements

• Ability to work in English at a professional level is a requirement. Additional language in Spanish, German, French or Portuguese is preferred.

Desired skills and experience

• Direct experience of work in climate, industry decarbonisation, and energy transition; 

• Awareness of global dynamics and ability to think beyond borders for campaign leverages, blockages and opportunities; 

• Excellent skills in writing for analytical reports as well as engaging media contents.

Julie’s Bicycle (JB) is seeking a proactive and flexible part-time Researcher with a strong understanding of climate and environmental themes and policy, and an interest in the ways that these connect with cultural and creative industries. The Researcher will undertake a wide range of desk research, sourcing and synthesising information into clear summaries and briefings to be shared internally and externally. They will collaborate with JB’s Programme Leads to link insights from on-the-ground projects into the wider external context. Working closely with the Senior Leadership team, the Researcher’s work will underpin JB’s thought-leadership and advocacy work for the role of culture (the arts, cultural heritage and creative industries) in climate action, simultaneously deepening our understanding of how we can affect the most change.

The 2026 Centenary is a significant milestone in CPRE’s history. This critical role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of the campaign. The postholder will be responsible for developing and managing the Centenary project management plan and engaging key stakeholders, including trustees, volunteers and supporters, internally and externally throughout the organisation, nationally and locally; monitoring objectives; and identifying and mitigating any associated risks.

With exceptional relationship building skills, you will support delivery of the Centenary Appeal, working closely with fundraising teams, and ensure our HNWI donors, key funders and volunteers are stewarded appropriately. Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy, Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow and forecasts to support strategic business planning and decision-making.
   
• Budget Management: Oversee and lead on the annual international budgeting and planning process (involving all ProVeg entities and departments). Administer and review all international financial plans and budgets; maintain all program budgets.
   
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly (P&L and balance sheets) management reports, quarterly variance reports, annual financial reports, donor-specific or grant reports, and other income generation reports to the Global CEO, and Senior Leadership Team.
   
• Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. 
   
• Financial Risk & Compliance Management: Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk, leverage financial opportunities, and ensure financial compliance with charity laws and other guidelines. Remain up-to-date on best practices in non-profit finance, and relevant laws regarding non-profit operation. 
   
• Finance Operations and governance: Oversee and improve internal financial policies and procedures such as implementation of central finance software, donations and grants tracking, ensuring value for money by applying internal auditing principles, and advising/supporting country directors and finance managers as well as organisations joining the ProVeg global network.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting qualification preferred, though candidates qualified by experience will be considered. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field desirable; graduate degree or CPA preferred.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the non-profit sector. Experience of implementing and maintaining strong financial controls.

• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.

• Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and finance operations.

• Excellent data skills, including Google Workspace, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software. Desirable: experience of implementing new accounting software.

• Calm and professional attitude, high level of integrity, accuracy, and a strong sense for due diligence.

• Experience consolidating multiple entities, ideally including different currencies.

• Collaborative attitude, solution-focused, and supportive of international colleagues (particularly Country Directors & Country Finance Managers, International Department Heads and International Operations team).

• Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills, such as German, preferred.

Bonsucro is the global sustainability platform and standard for sugarcane. Our purpose is to collectively accelerate the sustainable production and uses of sugarcane. Climate change, human rights, farmer livelihoods, women’s empowerment, pesticide reduction, and water use are some of the issues that Bonsucro works on. As our Communications and Events Manager you will be expected to create narratives on these issues and link this to Bonsucro’s work on standards and certification,  market development and collective action.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in strategy, planning and delivery of communications and events in a comparable organisation. You are versatile and stakeholder-oriented and comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple concurrent priorities, deadlines and activities. Strategy and delivery

• Develop and execute effective communications strategies to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s profile, reputation and, as a result, to attract new members and partners

Branding and stakeholder guidance

• Oversee logistics, planning and delivery of key Bonsucro’s events, in particular Bonsucro Global Week.
• Continuously improve and evolve Bonsucro’s external reports (e.g. Outcome report, Annual report etc) to ensure clarity of layout and language and strengthen them as tools to increase Bonsucro’s profile and value back to members.
• Regularly report on operational progress updates to the Director of Engagement and Markets and other teams to identify areas of strengths and continuous improvement.
• Identify, track and monitor appropriate KPIs that assess the effectiveness of the communications strategies and plans and which inform decision-making.

Person Specification

Essential criteria

• Significant prior experience in development and implementation of communications strategies and a full range of media        services, ideally in a global context
• Strong technical acumen in relation to all aspects of communications and events delivery
• Previous line-management experience and experience in managing moderate budgets
• Significant experience in writing, editing and publishing compelling content
• Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging campaigns and stories
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills for a range of media (online and print), including the ability to convey complex          ideas clearly and simply.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and visual
• Strong time/process management skills and ability to establish priorities and work to deadlines
• High level of communications IT proficiency, covering a range of tools and applications

This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.

for somebody with experience in grants fundraising who can quickly apply their skills and
expertise. You’ll work closely with our Development Director to report to and liaise with current
funders, manage a pipeline of prospects and submit successful applications to secure new grants.
In addition, you will support in building a major donor programme to diversify and strengthen our
funding base. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, from impact
producers to reporters to finance and operations, in a supportive and welcoming culture that
values teamwork and shared success.

As an excellent communicator, you will be able to take complex issues and translate them into
clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders. You will also be
passionate about building strong relationships with our funders and supporters.

While experience in high-net-worth fundraising would be a valuable bonus, it is not essential. You
don’t need to have raised funds for non-profit media before, but you do need to be excited by our
work and able to express The Bureau’s key areas of work and impact in an accessible, accurate and
compelling way. We’re a small team, so you’ll need the willingness to pitch in on fundraising tasks
– big or small – to ensure The Bureau is in the best possible position to pursue its mission.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of 3+ years’ experience successfully raising significant funds for charities or non-profits and managing relationships with funders (foundations - essential, high net worth individuals - desirable);
• Strong background in managing grants admin, including due diligence and processing agreements;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak and write English fluently;
• Great analytical skills, with experience in researching and identifying new funding sources for various projects;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities;
• Experience of working with databases and funding pipelines;
• Exceptional time management skills, a professional attitude, and meticulous attention to detail;
• Resourceful and able to think creatively with strong problem-solving skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate at all levels across the organisation.
• Experience in securing funds for journalism, social justice, civil society, human rights, or related causes is desirable but not essential;
• We envisage this as a full-time, primarily hybrid working role, working from our London office two/three times a week.

The Kids Network, London’s leading intervention focused child mentoring charity, is looking for a marketing and comms officer. This essential role will work closely with the CEO and Managing Director as well as the schools, mentoring and fundraising teams, working collaboratively across the organisation.

Your role

This role is crucial in helping us raise funds to underpin our new 3 year strategy and to reach even more midwives and student midwives with our awards.  Reporting to The Executive Director you will take forward our fundraising strategy in our three key areas which grows our income and deepens relationships with our existing donors.  We have a dedicated legacy strategy in place and your role will be to move this forward.  We want you to explore ways in which we can use our learning legacy ( 30 years of funding awards)  to both raise awareness and funds and to be involved as we move forward in appointing a new Patron and Ambassadors and help us maximise their impact.

We need you to be a self starter, highly motivated and comfortable working remotely in a small charity.

1. Lead on the development of the operational plan  and oversee delivery of the programme and income and expenditure targets.

About you

Have a proven track record of successful fundraising within a UK charity preferably working at national level, in one or more of these areas: individuals, corporates , legacies, community.

You have excellent communication skills and can work across a wide range of audiences in a clear and confident manner.

You are well organised and are able to plan and prioritise working to multiple deadlines as well as being able to develop effective systems to monitor progress,
