We are looking for an experienced and driven Direct Marketing Coordinator to support the Direct Marketing Managers in the delivery of our fundraising campaigns and development and managing our online shop. Our fundraising channels cover a number of channels including Direct Mail, Social Media, PPC, TM etc. While the role will be supporting the Direct Managers in delivery of the team’s objectives there is the opportunity to lead on projects and delivery of objectives for the right candidate.
Majority of our roles can be performed hybrid which means you will be required to attend the office 2-4 days per month. Travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.

The Fundraising & Marketing Manager will take the lead in developing and implementing our fundraising and marketing strategies, splitting your time about 60/40 between the two functions. As Fundraising & Marketing Manager you will be responsible for securing funding from a wide range of sources, stewarding relationships with our supporters, and managing communication with external stakeholders.
It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our Individual Giving Manager you will organise and oversee all our individual giving activities. You will develop income and engagement from individuals working across a range of income streams including but not limited to Regular Giving, Philanthropy, Legacy, Appeals and Lottery.
You will also oversee strategy with a view to gaining ongoing growth, through developing engaging fundraising campaigns and delivering high quality, timely and personalised stewardship to recruit new and retain existing supporters.
You’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of using a variety of direct marketing techniques to grow Individual Giving. You will work closely with our MarComms team to create content across various channels ensuring relevant and engaging communications are sent to supporters across email, BHWT newsletters, social media, BHWT magazine and video.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- To develop and deliver strategy across Individual Giving in an effort to maximise income.
- To steward and recruit donors whilst developing and retaining regular and cash givers.
- To manage a calendar of compelling fundraising projects and campaigns including direct marketing appeals across electronic, postal and social media channels.
- To utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate campaigns and revenue performance.
- Management of our BHWT lottery.
- To build and nurture effective relationships with a number of segments including major donors, regular givers and pledged legators, increasing value and loyalty from new and existing donors.
- To examine supporter data to identify patterns and trends, helping to build and develop insights into BHWT supporters.
- To segment various data audiences for postal appeals using Salesforce.
- To explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and retention.
- To analyse and report on fundraising activities to maximise return on investment and feed key findings to the CEO.
- Collaborate closely with MarComms to build understanding and support across the organisation whilst delivering rewarding, interconnected projects and appeals.
- To create and update donor records ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.
- To provide support to other areas of fundraising where appropriate.
- To undertake ad hoc tasks from time to time as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A strong empathy for animal welfare and the work of the BHWT
- Demonstrable successes in growing income across multiple IG revenues with a wide range of activities, campaigns, and appeals
- Proven experience of researching, evaluating, testing and implementing successful fundraising products or activities
- Experience of utilising performance metrics and KPIs for donor acquisition, cost-benefit, and return-on-investment analyses
- Proven experience of campaign management and delivery
- Track record of developing and optimising supporter-focused content and products that increase reach and engagement across a wide range of channels
- Experience of using a fundraising database and segmenting relevant fundraising data
- Ability to drive success and inspire others to ensure relevant targets and standards are met
- Ability to prioritise and manage a busy programme to ensure the smooth running of a full calendar
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade a wide range of stakeholders including suppliers, supporters, and colleagues

Our Direct Marketing Team is part of this department, and recruits and develops supporters. We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team on a fixed term basis until June 2025. They will independently manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns to recruit new donors, communicate with existing donors, and generate agreed income for Battersea through a variety of warm and cold marketing channels such as direct mail, print media, and digital promotion. This role will manage Battersea’s raffle product and campaigns associated with it.

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Senior Legacy & In Memory Direct Marketing Officer on a fixed term basis, to deliver Battersea’s Legacy and In Memory marketing and fundraising programme by independently managing multi-channel direct and wider marketing campaigns to recruit and attract new Legacy and In Memory donors.
The ideal candidate would have experience planning, implementing and evaluating direct marketing campaigns across a range of media channels, the ability to analyse results of campaigns and a passion for helping dogs and cats.

The Role

Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
• Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent growth.

Innovation

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/training
• Relevant direct marketing/fundraising qualification and/or equivalent experience.
Knowledge / Experience
• Relevant experience in fundraising and/or marketing, with experience of direct marketing and developing supporter/customer journeys and campaigns to build long-term loyalty, engagement and income growth.
• Experience managing a regular giving or loyalty programme.

We’re looking for a senior officer to join our talented and ambitious brand marketing and planning team, to work on our marketing campaigns, to support the brand strategy. You’ll be responsible for growing brand awareness through planning, developing and delivering brand marketing campaigns to reach target audiences. A key focus of the role will be to manage innovative brand marketing activity to create cut-through and inspire more people to engage with and support our vital work.
You’ll use your skills and experience to project manage marketing campaigns across a full range of paid and owned channels. You’ll collaborate with both in-house and external agencies to develop creative and media plans and monitor and report on campaign performance to drive maximum impact and value from our brand marketing investment.

You’re a passionate marketer, with a can-do attitude and creative mind-set, always determined to deliver the very best. You’ll have excellent experience managing innovative and impact-driven marketing campaigns from start to finish that inspire and engage target audiences.
With experience across a full range of media channels, you’ll have a strong understanding of the creative development, production and media planning processes involved in delivering a multi-channel marketing campaign. As a collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills, you’ll be confident managing external agencies and suppliers, alongside internal stakeholders at all levels.
You’ll be used to working within a fast-paced team with competing deadlines by remaining calm under pressure and prioritising tasks effectively.

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon.
We are seeking an experienced legacy professional to lead and grow MAP’s legacy giving programme. This role is instrumental in generating circa £1m annually, directly contributing to MAP’s vital work. You’ll take the lead in building MAP’s legacy programme – from marketing legacies to stewarding prospects, enquirers and pledgers. Working collaboratively across teams, you’ll design engaging supporter journeys that ensure an exceptional experience, strengthening MAP’s legacy pipeline. You’ll also play a pivotal role in strengthening the profile of legacy giving at MAP, building strong connections internally and externally. Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
• Lead the development of the legacy programme, creating a strategic plan that considers audiences, products and channels and which is aligned to MAP’s fundraising strategy.
• Monitor and analyse trends within legacy giving, both internally and externally, using these findings to influence the direction of the programme.
• Manage and support the Legacy Marketing Officer (fixed term) and liaise with MAP’s legacy administration consultant to ensure excellence in both legacy marketing and administration. Assess resources and develop business plans to support team changes as and when relevant.
• Champion legacy giving throughout MAP, influencing and engaging colleagues across the organisation and raising the profile of this income stream.
• Build and manage relationships with external partners including agencies and suppliers including creative, print/fulfilment and free will providers.
Campaign Planning and Management
• Plan, implement and optimise legacy marketing campaigns across various channels, ensuring alignment with MAP’s broader fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop audience-led content and materials that drive engagement with legacy giving.
• Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance, adjusting plans and activity based on insights and trends with a view to maximise ROI.
• Develop and maintain effective supporter journeys tailored to legacy prospects and legacy intenders/pledgers, ensuring a consistent, engaging and inspiring experience.
Innovation
• Lead legacy marketing innovation by identifying and testing new channels, tools and approaches to enhance MAP’s legacy offering.
• Stay updated on trends and legacy marketing best practice, with the goal of developing MAP into a leader in legacy fundraising.
Budget Management
• Create and oversee the legacy budget, setting income and expenditure targets in collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving.
• Manage financial planning, reporting, and risk assessment for the legacy budget.

Experience
• Proven track record in legacy programme management across various channels, with evidence of successful development of legacy fundraising strategies.
• Skilled in performance reporting, data analysis and using insights to shape a legacy programme.
• Experience creating acquisition fundraising plans across channels (online and offline) and delivering supporter journeys across a range of audiences.
• Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects and priorities at once.
• Experience of day-to-day management of external stakeholders and agencies.
• Experience in planning and budgeting – with proficiency in legacy forecasting.

- Working closely with Data Insights where required, lead the tracking and analysis of marketing data, to identify key trends, opportunities and areas for development.
- Oversee campaigns including the creation of campaign plans, execution and delivery and campaign evaluation.
- Drive fundraising and supporter acquisition through the use of digital advertising channels, such as Meta and Google.
