The role will involve developing and nurturing relationships with those who own, manage, design or have an interest in green infrastructure by proactively facilitating our networks and supporter activities to engender more effective and collaborative working, knowledge sharing, and connection.

The successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for the charity, and capable of building long term partnerships. As part of a small charity, the successful candidate will need to be a team player, ready and willing to respond and adapt to opportunities and challenges, working closely with the rest of the Parks for London team and trustees.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver and enhance our network and engagement programme to support green space owners and managers
- Support and coordinate the administration and delivery of a range of virtual and in-person network meetings and events
- Identify and develop relationships with potential new supporters
- Support the identification, and engagement of new audiences who could benefit from our work
- Identify and develop relationships with potential collaborators with whom we can work in partnership with, to maximise our capacity and expand our reach
- Support the sustainability of the charity by driving and maximising existing income streams as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities for income generation
- Represent Parks for London at events and wider engagement opportunities, and promote the interests of the charity, our services, and our supporters
- Keep abreast of local, regional, national and international funding opportunities to identify opportunities for both the charity and those in our networks
- Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Parks for London and our services
- Play an active role in strategic reviews, business planning, and contribute to the wider thinking and planning of the charity

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team and use your fundraising experience to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. As Head of Fundraising, you will lead a team of two fundraisers to develop relationships and generate income from charitable trusts, statutory sources, individuals, schools and parishes.
This is a diverse and rewarding role where you can work closely with our project teams and see the direct impact of your efforts. The fundraising team is also actively involved in service delivery and this role will be instrumental in helping to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas, as well as helping families in crisis via our Crisis Funds.

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with at least four years’ fundraising experience who is keen to use their skills to help CCS grow our income. A proactive and flexible approach is also a must! The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record of securing income in excess of £300,000 p.a.
- Have experience of managing a team
- Be an effective communicator
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and supporters.

You will have ideally worked with digital fundraising tools and will understanding current data legislation, particularly GDPR.

What the job involves
We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Events and Community Team. A high performing team who are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
Our team raises funds through a range of activities including:
· our own events (e.g. March for Men)
· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)
· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)
· Golf Days
· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity
You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience. Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.
This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Facebook Fundraising. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

You’ll have the drive and determination to provide crucial support to our sector-leading programme of events which generated over £10.3m of gross income in 2022-23. As the Individual Giving Officer, you will be at the heart of their fundraising efforts. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies to engage individual donors, nurturing relationships that lead to meaningful financial contributions. You'll manage direct mail appeals, online fundraising campaigns, and oversee the membership scheme. Your efforts will ensure their supporters feel connected to the mission and inspired to contribute.
The role as an Individual Giving Officer:
- Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and deliver individual giving strategies, focusing on donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship.

This is an exciting new role and part of planned significant investment into a longstanding and prestigious community based youth organisation. The successful candidate will coordinate youth work over multiple locations and will have the opportunity to develop a range of programmes and interventions. As a Lead Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive and engaging environment for young people. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our youth clubs and projects, implementing a range of programmes and activities that promote personal development, social interaction and positive youth engagement. The Harrow Club is a community-based youth organisation offering innovative, accessible and high-quality opportunities, enabling young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to maximise their life chances. This year we are 140 years’ old, and we are committed to building on decades of service in the local community to address some of the most pressing issues affecting young people today.
Harrow Club is a place for firsts. A first trip to the beach, a night-time walk in the woods, an overnight stay without parents and, for some, the first place where a child really feels at home and that they have a home. Firsts are especially important, they are part of a child’s development but also, they build an outlook on life and shape pathways that will go on to determine futures as well as offer a chance to form new interests and friendships.
We are also a place of second chances. We support children who struggle to stay in the classroom and to continue in their education. We work with young people who are excluded from regular youth clubs/sports clubs, so that they can have the chance to change. We allow young people to make mistakes, learn and move forward.
There is no better testament to what Harrow Club can achieve than some of our current youth workers who have turned their lives around and are now working to keep young people away from criminality and harm. They can show, with immediacy and authenticity, that there can be Another Way, to live life.
We are also a ‘third place’, a safe and nurturing space, for all children and young people; for some their home or school is neither safe or happy and we can make a vital difference in providing a ‘positive escape’ and vital help and support.
We operate from five locations, providing an incredible range of projects covering sports, arts and performing arts, media, music, digital and our specialist gang’s project, motor vehicle workshops and educational programmes aimed at reducing school exclusions. We engage around two hundred young people each week, aged 8-24, and around 500 unique each year. For many, the effect is life changing.

Renumeration and Benefits:
•Salary: £33,000-£37,000 dependent on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Management:
- Develop and implement a diverse range of programmes and activities that cater to the interests, needs, and developmental stages of young people.
- Coordinate and oversee the scheduling, logistics and evaluation of programs and activities.
- Collaborate with other youth workers and volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of programmes and activities.
2. Youth Engagement and Support:
- Establish positive relationships with young people and create a safe and inclusive atmosphere where they feel valued and supported.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and advocacy for young individuals, helping them navigate challenges and make positive life choices.
- Conduct one-on-one sessions and group discussions to address individual and group concerns or issues.
3. Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead a team of youth workers and volunteers, providing direction, support and regular feedback.
- Plan and facilitate regular team meetings, trainings and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff and volunteers.
- Foster a collaborative and respectful team culture, encouraging open communication and a shared vision for youth development.
4. Community Engagement:
- Build partnerships and maintain positive relationships with local organizations, schools and community stakeholders to enhance the resources available to young people.
- Collaborate with community members to organize events, workshops and initiatives that promote youth participation and community cohesion.
- Represent the youth club at community meetings, conferences and events to advocate for youth-related issues and promote the club's mission.
5. Administration and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, programme participation, and individual progress.
- Prepare regular reports, statistics, and evaluations to measure the impact and effectiveness of youth programmes and activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulations governing youth clubs and child protection.
Person Specification - Qualifications and Skills
-JNC Professionally qualified Youth Worker with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, youth development, education) or equivalent practical experience.
-Proven experience working with young people in a youth club, community centre or similar setting.
-Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
-Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
-Ability to adapt to diverse needs and engage with young individuals from various backgrounds.
-Knowledge of relevant legislation and child protection guidelines.
-Proficiency in administrative tasks, including record-keeping and report writing.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and occasional irregular hours.
