- Support the Assistant Head of Digital – Projects & Infrastructure to recommend digital solutions to teams that need them and support teams in the implementation of digital tools that they need, but importantly also allow the teams to ‘own’ the solution as much as possible.
- Have excellent project management skills, with a strong track record of managing high performing teams and an extensive knowledge and experience of successfully implementing large/complex digital projects.

· In partnership with the District Mission Team, develop digital resources for the District’s New Places For New People-FEAST (friends exploring and sharing together)

The Role
The North West England Methodist District (NWED) is seeking to appoint a Digital Enabler. The role is home-based, with travel throughout the District. The Digital Enabler will facilitate the effective participation by all members in the life of the Church in the North West England District by supporting stakeholders at all levels to facilitate digital evangelism and building and maintaining the District’s online presence.

NWED came to being in September 2024 following the joining together of a number of Methodist Districts. We cover the geographical area of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and parts of Cheshire and Derbyshire. Within this are inner city, industrial, post-industrial, suburban, and rural areas – no two towns are the same.
The District embraces a rich breadth and variety of theological perspectives and worship styles. A range of fresh expressions of Church (messy church, café church, arts-based projects, digital spaces etc.) are nurtured without neglecting the other, more traditional, expressions and all are equally valued.
We exist primarily to advance the mission of the Methodist Church in our District by supporting churches and circuits (a circuit is a group of churches served by a team, including one or more ministers). About the role
We’re looking to recruit a Digital Experience (DX) Project Manager to help us deliver a transformed digital experience for our supporters, colleagues and operations at WWF-UK, in a critical decade for the future of the planet.
As a DX Project Manager, you will join our team to help us plan and deliver a significant digital systems investment programme (including CMS and related digital capabilities). Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University. Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.
The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager
The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.
Salary – £30,124.49 (Please not this is NOT pro rata. Discovery is a 4 day week organisation, the salary specified above is for a 28 hr working week.)
Working hours 28 per week (we are a 4 day week organisation)
Normal working hours will be agreed between 9 and 5.30, Tuesday to Friday with a half hour unpaid lunch break, some out of hours working will be expected for which time of in lieu will be granted. Exact working hours to be agreed with the Director.
Annual leave allowance – 26 days pro rata plus bank holidays. Usually taken outside of term time and must be agreed with the line manager.
Pension 5% employer contribution to NEST scheme after 3 months employment (employee contribution will be inline with statutory requirements)

What you will do in the role:
- Work with the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager to implement the Society’s Digital Marketing plans to achieve overall marketing objectives.
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns including email marketing and social media.
- Create compelling copy for the website, email campaigns, social media and other digital marketing materials.
- Manage the Society’s website, including developing, updating and monitoring content and images to ensure SEO maximisation and best practice. Liaise with the IT Project Manager and external developers for technical support where needed.
- Use persona research and analysis to develop the Society’s online presence and activity to increase reach and engagement with members and stakeholders.
- Plan, develop and oversee the production and repurposing of digital content including videos, podcasts and live streaming events, creating promotional, informational and thought leadership content.
- Oversee the design and production of printed material, branded assets and promotional items ensuring consistent implementation of the brand.
- Monitor and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as needed.
- Ensure the Society’s digital marketing activities lead the way in delivering brand engagement, whilst ensuring alignment with the Society’s Brand Guidelines.
- Build strong, productive, collaborative working relationships internally and externally to support the delivery of the digital marketing strategy.
Essential skills and experience you will need to demonstrate:
- Degree or relevant marketing qualification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a digital marketing role.
- Experience of email marketing, social media (including advertising) and content marketing.
- Digital content design skills with experience in creating and repurposing digital content through applications such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Audition (or other equivalent.)
- Strong written communication. Able to write engaging copy across digital marketing channels.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills: self-sufficient in prioritising, organising workload and planning ahead.
- Able to think critically with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams.
- Previous experience of using marketing automation and CRM software.

JOB PURPOSE
