Team: Community & Events

Location: Remote

Work pattern: Monday to Friday however some occasional weekend work will be required

Salary: Up to £41,363 per annum

Responsibilities of our Senior Challenge Events Officer:

  • To manage, develop and deliver a robust portfolio of challenge & virtual events alongside an innovative product pipeline to acquire, convert and retain engaged supporters through an excellence in supporter stewardship.
  • Working with the Fundraising Events Manager, the post holder will significantly contribute to both Community & Event and wider Income Generation objectives.
  • Working across multiple and varying channels you will increase sustainable net income through a diverse and innovative product portfolio
  • Utilising an excellence in supporter stewardship, combined with a detailed understanding of audience need, robust insight, creativity and a data-led approach you will acquire, convert and retain engaged supporters in order to achieve ambitious departmental and wider charitable objectives.

About the Events team:

  • We sit within the Community and Events team
  • Our team acquire, steward and support fundraisers taking part in third party and owned challenge and mass participation events
  • We currently have a team of 8

What we’re looking for in our Senior Challenge Events Officer:

  • Experience of supporter stewardship within a Fundraising and / or events capacity, including the development of supporter resources including fulfillment.
  • Experience of copy writing, asset management and gathering compelling but compliant case studies from supporters
  • Proven track record of achieving income and acquisition / conversion and retention growth against agreed targets and managing sizeable expenditure budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to communicate effectively and passionately
  • Experience of digital marketing within a Fundraising and / or events capacity  
  • Strong working knowledge of Data Protection, fundraising legislation and codes of practice relevant within events fundraising
