Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. These partnerships will generate both donations and earned income, with corporate partners contracting Tender to deliver workplace training. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding approaches and workforce training pitches, through to successfully managing relationships with corporate partners.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in researching and developing prospect lists for priority industries and implementing new business campaigns which will secure multi-year high value partnerships, both for workplace training and donations
• Experience of selling training programmes to businesses
• Experience in developing engaging and impactful partnership proposals and training propositions
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels

The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

• Working with the Development team to collectively achieve annual fundraising targets exceeding £2m per year
• Selling workplace training and donation opportunities to corporate partners across a range of industries, but in particular the legal and financial services sectors
• Supporting the CEO and Development Director to increase Tender’s workplace training delivery in order to achieve income targets through sales
• Contributing to applications and events in support of fundraising from other sources

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement team as the E-Commerce Manager. 

In line with our ecommerce strategy, Sustrans has invested over the past years to increase sales through our e-commerce shop and now needs to find new approaches to maximise revenue. 

As the E-Commerce Manager, you will be responsible for maximising e-commerce revenue by optimising the martech stack, improving audience insights, product development/management and  promotion through digital and offline marketing channels. 

As part of the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement team, you will work closely with colleagues in Supporter Engagement and Giving, Strategic Communications, Finance as well as external agencies and suppliers. 

This role has line management responsibilities for two-part time colleagues, the E-Commerce Promotions Officer and the E-Commerce Products Officer.

About you 

You should have experience of leading, motivating and managing a team as well as demonstratable experience of working in e-commerce ideally in cycling/outdoor or an allied industry.

You will have previously improved customer experience and increased loyalty, as well as having worked with Shopify, website content management systems and ideally integrations with Facebook and Amazon. You will be skilled in project delivery to agreed deadlines and budgets. 

You will need to be experienced in delivering, interpreting and actioning insight through high quality, consistent data to increase sales and of using paid and organic channels including SEO.

About the Role

• Considerable experience of working with the Raiser’s Edge database with a demonstrable understanding of the single customer view

Responsibilities

Strategic development and implementation

• Develop and oversee an effective PR communications strategy, including business/trade press and public affairs (EU and UN advocacy), based on ProVeg’s strategic principles, impact areas and global interventions.

• Be accountable for the development, delivery, and evaluation of the organisation’s PR activities.

• Create relations with key media outlets to increase visibility and dissemination opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

• An excellent understanding of the plant-based and alternative protein sector and knowledge of food systems change.

• A successful track record (5+ years) in journalism (print or broadcast), marketing, or public affairs, developing and delivering strategic objectives across a range of communications channels.

• Strong track record in PR (including broadcast), marketing and/or organisational branding.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English to native level (or C1).

• Excellent networking skills and experience in building productive relationships with key media stakeholders and influencers.

• Strong project management skills.

• Ability to juggle a varied workload, delegate effectively and contribute as a team player.

• Strong team management skills and a commitment to motivating and empowering a team remotely in order to achieve their goals.

What the job role is likely to involve:

Events

• Planning, promoting and delivering a programme of successful panel, social or other events in person or online
• Raising revenue from events by securing sponsorship and selling tickets, helping fund our day-to-day journalism

Fundraising 

• Securing further funding opportunities more widely, from advertorials or adverts to sponsored LabourList editorial partnerships, from seeking out new grants to building donations from readers
• Building relationships with potential partners, donors and event speakers across and beyond Labour
• Working with ad partners to assist with their clients’ ad campaigns

Finances

• Planning and monitoring the organisation’s budget with the editor
• Making, invoicing for and following up on external payments due
• Managing payroll, HMRC payments and expenses
• Working with external accountants to maintain company accounts

Operations

• Taking responsibility for record keeping and organisation of documents
• Writing board meeting agendas, minutes and other relevant documents
• Supporting the organisation with other ad hoc work flexibly as required in a small team, such as HR or support on editorial projects

What we’re looking for in applicants:

This role is likely to suit someone who is:

• Highly organised and attentive to detail, with the ability to balance, keep track of and deliver on competing priorities to deadlines
• A good communicator able to promote LabourList in person and in writing, and to build and maintain good relations and work collaboratively with key stakeholders – from event or ad partners and MPs to LabourList colleagues and board members
• Able to adapt and learn quickly in a varied role where duties could evolve in a fast-moving political and media environment
• Available to work at Labour party conference in September 2025 (and ideally to attend at least part of Labour conference this year to see our work)
• Interested in and supportive of Labour politics
• Able to work occasional antisocial hours when events or tight deadlines require

It’s likely to suit someone with experience of:

• Directly generating income for an organisation or campaign
• Organising and running events, from design to marketing to on-the-ground oversight
• Leading projects from conception to completion
• Preparing and analysing budgets

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for candidates with experience of supporting individuals with barriers to work into paid employment. Within this role you will carry a significant responsibility, managing a caseload of clients from a refugee background and supporting them in securing meaningful employment, training, and education opportunities.

You will provide one-to-one personalised support, delivering quality Information Advice and Guidance (IAG), alongside ongoing support to ensure your clients have all the skills they need to get into work. This involves working with clients to produce individual action plans with clear goals and actions to overcome identified needs and barriers and provide a clear pathway towards the labour market.

You will work with clients online and by phone, as well as in person to monitor their progress towards their goals. Complementary support will be delivered through our volunteers who are trained in delivering employment advice, and you will book weekly appointments for clients, allocating time slots according to availability and the volunteer’s specialty.

Overall purpose: 

We are excited to offer the opportunity of a new role within our Services team. In this role, you will work closely with our team of Employment Advisers to co-work with clients who need support for intensive jobs search and applications. You will also be involved in the enrolment and management of your own caseload of work-ready clients.

We are looking for candidates with experience of supporting individuals with barriers to work into paid employment, who also understand how to create links with local employers to advocate for individual clients. Within this role you will carry a significant responsibility, managing a caseload of work ready clients who have experienced forced migration who are closer to the labour market and supporting them in securing meaningful employment.   

You will provide one-to-one personalised support to ensure your clients access employment opportunities. This involves working with clients to progress in their employment goal, agreeing actions to provide a clear pathway into employment.   

You will work with clients online and by phone, as well as in person to monitor their progress towards their goal.

Another part of your role is to reach out to local employers to facilitate access to local jobs and build relationships to advocate for your clients. You will also support the wider team to understand where to find employment opportunities and build relationships with key employment networks. 

Complementary support will be delivered through use of our volunteers where you will book appointments for clients who require interview practice/mock interviews, allocating time slots according to availability and the volunteer’s specialty.
