- Engage and influence key stakeholders through effective public affairs strategies, growing CILIP’s profile, and positioning CILIP strategically on key policy issues.
- Ensure consistent use of CILIP’s brand guidelines and collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief for a unified content strategy.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communications initiatives, making data-driven improvements to enhance performance.

About the role
The Advocacy & Media Manager reports to the Co-Director of Advocacy and is responsible for leading STOPAIDS' advocacy on Global Health Institutions and the HIV Response, with a particular focus on resource mobilisation for the HIV response and the role of the UK government. They are also responsible for overseeing the development and execution of STOPAIDS' organisation-wide media strategy.

About the Role:
This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. Who we are looking for:

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an eLearning Manager to join our team. This position is based in the Education Innovation Department.
Working alongside the other eLearning Manager, this role is jointly responsible to the Head of Education Innovation for the day-to-day management of the eLearning team and the College’s learning platform, RCOG Learning. About James’ Place
James’ Place Charity was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts, but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. James’ Place offers men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.
The first James’ Place opened in June 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, and has to date supported more than 2,300 men experiencing suicidal crisis through our innovative and safe therapeutic intervention. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centre and in our landscaped garden, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families.
In 2022 we opened a new centre in London and in early in 2023 we launched an appeal to raise over £10m to fund three more centres across the country. Our third centre opened in Newcastle at the beginning of 2024, and we are currently raising funds to open a James’ Place in Brimingham.
The Fundraising and Communications team
We are a small team with big ambitions. The team comprises a Head of Fundraising and Communications, two Fundraising Managers, a Senior Communications Manager and a Senior Outreach Officer. Fundraising Executive
We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Executive to support our fundraising and communications activities and be part of our small and dedicated team. About You
Having previously worked in the charity sector, you will be passionate about our cause and committed to supporting us in raising the money required to meet our ambitions.
With an eye for detail, strong analytical and organisational skills, you will be able to undertake research on prospective corporate, major, trust and public donors and produce high quality written reports to support funding bids.
Using your ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively, you will support fundraisers by providing them with timely and accurate information and manage a portfolio of smaller trusts and foundations, which will also include stewardship.

· Support the Events Manger in the delivery of fundraising and engagement events across the organisation.
· Support the Fundraising Managers in arranging meetings and visits with donors and prospective donors.

· Create regular communications, reports and updates for fundraisers to tailor for their individual donors.

We’re recruiting for a new Fundraising Manager to build on the growth and development we’ve experienced in recent years, and move us to the next level. You will work closely with senior leadership and colleagues across the organisation to

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Ellenor to find their Lottery Manager. This role is 0.8 FTE.
The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working 1-2 days per week from their office in Gravesend.
The person in this role will strategically lead the Hospice lottery to maximise income through developing new approaches and increasing its profile whilst ensuing full Gambling Commission compliance. The role of the Lottery Manager is twofold – working with agencies and spotting promotional opportunities to acquire and recruit new players, whilst cherishing and valuing those we already have by thanking them and keeping them informed of the difference their support makes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a strategy to ensure long term and sustainable growth of lottery income with support from the Head of Individual Giving.
• Working towards agreed KPIs and income targets for the lottery, by increasing membership and reducing attrition.
• To possess up-to-date and thorough operational familiarity with the Lottery Conditions and Codes of Practice outlined by the Gambling Commission (Gambling Act 2005) and to ensure adherence to these regulations in all work activities.
• To manage the lottery income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets and expenditure remain on budget.
• Develop our digital presence (website, social media, etc.) to source new acquisition and increase our local community’s awareness of the lottery.
• Be the main contact for the relationship with our canvassing companies, taking responsibility for the recruitment and training canvassers for the lottery, and for ensuring that our 3rd party providers deliver their KPIs in terms of recruitment numbers and attrition levels.
• Be the ‘go to’ person for all lottery fundraising related matters from across the organisation.
• Work closely with the marketing team to contribute to the development of campaigns to increase lottery membership and income.
• Work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure all lottery communications reflect our brand values and that weekly reports are completed to help the delivery of stewardship plans.
• Work closely with our Retail outlets both in terms of venues for potential members, and to ensure our lottery is promoted to all customers and supporters.
• Deliver the stewardship plan for our lottery players, from the point of sign up, spotting opportunities to retain and develop them further maximising the lifetime value of every supporter.
• Ensure that all communication with lottery supporters is captured through the Fundraising database CRM System (donorflex).
Person Specification:
• Proven, long term track record of delivering successful income generation campaigns and activity in a business or charity – ideally relating to charity lotteries.
• Experience in a target driven environment like fundraising or sales.
• Experience of working with marketing teams and other departments to support objective delivery.
• High level of specialist knowledge and experience in lottery income generating role. (Desirable)
• Strong analytical skills including evidence of data analysis and strategic planning; performance indicator tracking; finance and budget management.
• An understanding of the charity sector or Hospice Care.

In this role you will be managing and developing all aspects of our greencare projects; supporting our staff and volunteers; and ensuring our services reach as many people as feasible.
Triangle Community Garden runs horticultural therapy sessions in our allotment sites and community garden in Hitchin, Hertfordshire working with people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues.
Ideally you’ll have some knowledge or experience of social therapeutic horticulture and working with people with additional needs. You’ll need to have experience of managing people and projects and it would be beneficial if you had experience of developing services and networks with other local organisations.

About the role
The Philanthropy Account Manager sits within the Philanthropy Team and will work with supporters who are giving at the five and six-figure level. They can be individuals, couples or small family trusts and often support many different areas of our work, both financially and non-financially. As a team we are a friendly, innovative, creative, collaborative team and, whilst we have an ambitious income target this year, we are bold in our ambitions for growth. We are always up for trying new things, taking a few risks and learning from when things fail. Our ultimate goal is to enable our donors’ support to be as impactful as possible, and inspire their loyalty and commitment to our mission to end homelessness.
The Philanthropy Manager role is varied, and alongside managing a portfolio of warm donors and prospects and securing five and six-figure gifts, there will be opportunities to lead on fundraising campaigns, events and other key projects. Other parts of the role include actively seeking new business working with our prospect researcher, building relationships to support and facilitate peer-to-peer giving, and finding new and creative ways to engage both new and existing donors in Crisis’ work. Creating compelling proposals, cases for support, reports and other bespoke communications will also be required. The successful candidate will manage, coach, and inspire the Philanthropy Administrator, and support them with their workload.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- A proven track record of building strong relationships with prospects and donors and securing gifts at the four to five-figure level.
- Experience of engaging and influencing high-value and high-profile individuals; understanding their motivations and inspiring confidence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (including listening skills).
- Excellent influencing skills to develop internal and external relationships.
- An entrepreneurial and creative approach, with the ability to spot opportunities to bring supporters closer to Crisis’ work.

Purpose
This is an exciting time at CBM UK, as we continue to grow and develop our philanthropic
fundraising. To help us achieve our ambitious long-term goals this role requires an
experienced and passionate individual to be part of our Philanthropy Team.
This vital role will lead the programme to build and grow our relationships with High-Net-
Worth Individuals (Major Donors) over the next five years and beyond. Working alongside
the Head of Philanthropy, you will seek to build upon current relationships, as well as
identifying, researching and cultivating relationships with new and lapsed major donors to
increase income for CBM UK’s work.
CBM is a Christian charity, and as a key supporter facing role, the position holder will
represent CBM’s purpose and ethos to all external audiences and will be sympathetic and
embracing of Christian beliefs and values.
You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled Fundraising and Communications team,
dedicated to inspiring people in the UK to help transform lives in some of the world’s
poorest places.
Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will seek to develop our Major Donor income stream, seeking to grow
both numbers of donors and income raised. At CBM, a Major Donor is considered to be
one who has the capacity to give £5,000+ per year and who relishes the opportunity to
have one-to-one, personalised interactions with CBM.
This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing
relationships with our generous supporters.
Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team
members and (occasionally) external consultants, this role focusses on building and
consolidating our major donor portfolio, so increasing our donor base and thus our in-year
and pledged income.
Main Goal:
To successfully steward a portfolio of new and existing major donors through tailored
approaches, so securing repeat and multi-year gifts to achieve agreed income targets and
KPIs.
This will be achieved through:
1. New business acquisition:
a) Analysing our current supporter base to build a prospect list, using our database
(Salesforce) and external databases, to assess the potential to upgrade active,
lapsed and prospective major donors.
b) Researching, identifying and securing major donor prospects, through the
identification of high-net-worth individuals who may have an interest in CBM’s work,
and through proactive and effective networking, including working with our Trustees,
Patrons and Ambassadors.
c) Identifying next steps and determining tactics for engagement, including 1:1
working, giving group presentations and delivering pitches at various levels, and
leading on their facilitation.
d) Attending networking opportunities in Cambridge, London and the surrounding
areas to represent CBM and to engage potential major donors in our work
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that
individuals are engaged in a bespoke manner, ensuring that they feel a part of CBM
and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,
updates and tailored approaches.
b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,
email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs
and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as
required.
c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure
they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project
developments.
d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,
including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating
Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.
e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and
to steward those who have pledged.
f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event
annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and
potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme
colleagues.
g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the
identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major
donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,
within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of major
donor proposals / reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications
Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy Team to develop new projects/ themes/ appeals for
potential projects.
d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports
to Foundation donors as needed.
4. Planning and Budgeting
a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement
strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.
b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy
where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and
plans and quarterly Board Reports.
c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones
and targets to facilitate informed decisions and improved working practice.
5. Other
a) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our
database to fully-inform any approaches/meetings.
b) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.
c) Helping to develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of
CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
d) Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and
always reflected in communications.
