About The Role

The Volunteering Development Officer (VDO) plays a pivotal role in sculpting our volunteering support within the Home-Start network. This role will be instrumental in enabling brilliant volunteering practice in our network of Home-Starts, specifically by working to enhance volunteer engagement and recruitment. The VDO will support excellent communication and collaboration with local experts, sector professionals, and volunteer leaders across various organisations. The VDO's responsibilities include providing hands-on support and insights for volunteer recruitment and volunteering best practice, as well as crafting evidence-based guidelines, policies, and tools that align with our strategic objectives for volunteering.

The VDO will manage volunteer inquiries at Home-Start UK, ensuring a seamless connection with prospective volunteers. As the main operator of our volunteer matching system, the VDO also plays a key role in internal dialogues about training, development, and volunteer support practices.

Occupying a vital position within the Practice Development Team as part of the Network Impact Directorate, the VDO supports a coherent approach to development, quality, and engagement initiatives. The role is crucial in building solid relationships and trust throughout the Home-Start network, ultimately amplifying our impact on a growing number of families.

WECare’s Head of Fundraising is responsible for supporting the Fundraising team in their efforts to raise funds. We have lots of exciting projects and expansion in the pipeline. We need a Head of Fundraising  who can come on this journey with us and help the charity grow whilst maintaining our core values and standards.

WECare Worldwide is a UK and Sri Lankan registered charity set up by veterinary surgeon Janey Lowes. Our mission is to provide international standard veterinary care for less fortunate animals around the world, starting in Sri Lanka. We aim to change the outlook for street dogs worldwide, with 75% of the globe’s dog population going without access to healthcare. Key responsibilities:

1. Fundraising Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve organisational fundraising goals.

• Design and establish fundraising structures, policies, and processes to streamline fundraising efforts and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Identify new fundraising opportunities and innovative approaches to expand the donor base and increase revenue streams.

2. Donor Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and potential supporters.

• Implement strategies to enhance donor engagement and retention, including the development of stewardship programmes, and  ensure ongoing engagement, retention, and the growth of regular givers.

• Lead the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring seamless logistics and maximising donor participation.

• Research and identify potential grants and trust funders to diversify funding sources.

3. Communication and Outreach:

• Create and distribute quarterly newsletters and appeal email campaigns to engage supporters and donors.

• Develop and maintain relationships with current sponsors, partners, and key donors.

• Oversee the 'Sponsor a Dog' programme, ensuring its effectiveness in donor engagement and revenue generation.

• Optimise the new supporter journey and create promotional materials in line with current brand guidelines.

• Identify, actively seek, and manage media opportunities, including TV, radio, and social media partnerships.

• Secure support from UK/ Sri Lankan  businesses and establish official partnerships where possible.

4. Fundraising Management:

• Manage fundraising events, including securing sponsorship and maintaining strong relationships with venues and their staff.

• Support WECare fundraisers with all needs associated with their efforts.

• Develop grant applications and supporting documentation.

• Manage the production of fundraising materials and advertisements.

• Oversee the development of merchandise ranges and play a key role in the sales process.

Learning Facilitator

We are looking for an experienced learning facilitator to design and deliver learning programmes utilising high-level people skills, facilitation skills and a coaching approach to ensure entrepreneurs have a transformative and valuable experience.

This is a remote role offering flexible working, with part-time hours considered and an amazing benefits package.

Position: Learning Facilitator

Location: Remote (North & Midlands)

Hours: 35 per week/flexible working, typical hours 9am-5am or 10am-6pm. We would be willing to consider a part-time role for the right candidate

The Role

What's the role about?

We are looking for a creative, engaging and resourceful Administrator who can support the Youth Engagement Team at Ocean Generation to deliver our brand of Ocean Intelligence to young people across the globe. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Admin:

• Supporting with the day-to-day tasks of the Youth Engagement Team, including managing the youth inbox, booking co-working space, sourcing and purchasing materials, generating certificates for participants, etc.

• Managing the team project plans via Monday and team events calendar to ensure the smooth running of all events.

• Building new contact lists for potential partnerships to widen our reach and maintaining current database.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Designing content on Canva to ensure that all Youth Engagement materials are up-to-date and on brand

Event Support:

About the role

The Communications Assistant will support the communications team with the maintenance and management of our website, parent/carer newsletters and other communications. You will communicate clearly with a range of B2C audiences, predominantly parents/carers and schools. • Experience of creating informative and motivating newsletter content, using Campaign Monitor or similar
• Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confidence working both in a team and in a remote environment
