JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR is looking for a Digital Communications Officer to join its team, raising vital support for displaced people around the world through creative campaigns such as the Refugee Dictionary, Cuppa Hope as well as fundraising appeals and partnerships.
Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Officer will have particular focus delivering day to day social media communications, including community management, publishing, content management and development. This role will also support wider digital communications activities, such as with the Senior Digital Communications Officer who manages the website.
This involves identifying opportunities to amplify appeals, campaigns and partnerships through social media to support UK for UNHCR’s fundraising and public advocacy objectives. Raising awareness of global refugee crises and UNHCR’s humanitarian operations forms a central part of this storytelling, as well as thematic campaigns and PR moments throughout the year.
One of your first focuses will be helping grow and verify UK for UNHCR’s TikTok account and LinkedIn presence, in addition to transitioning the charity’s channels to a new social media management tool. You will also work closely with the wider Communications team in supporting online and offline fundraising appeals.
The Digital Communications Officer will also work with the wider Communications team to identify and support storytellers (including refugees and supporters) to share their stories through the charity’s social media channels.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, coordination and growth
- Deliver and schedule social media content on a daily and weekly basis, with flexibility to respond to news events and emergencies at short notice.
- Produce or commission multimedia content, including videos, graphics and photography to support charity activity on social media.
- Apply understanding of UNHCR’s humanitarian work to deliver strong storytelling and relevant content to the audience.
- Adapt content from UNHCR’s head office and field communications to localise for UK audiences.
- Develop social media editorial plans to amplify campaigns, milestones and events.
- Deliver planning and scheduling in a timely manner and be quick to respond to news and emergencies.
- Flag and navigate political sensitivities in line with UNHCR and charity policies.
- Deliver on a paid media strategy to amplify social media content more broadly, with a focus on Meta ads manager.
- Update and maintain community management guidelines on a regular basis.
- Work closely with the Communications Coordinator to monitor and moderate all of the charity’s social media channels.
- Other support for digital communications as required, such as helping cover website activities when colleagues are on leave.
Analytics, reporting and best practice
- Deliver regular reports outlining the performance of our content and channels, ensuring we’re on track to reach 100k followers by the end of 2026.
- Create and lead on a testing roadmap, leveraging new features across all social media channels.
- Keep up to date with social media content trends, news and tools to inform best practice and strategy.
- Provide subject matter expertise, proactive assistance and advice as required for planning and delivery of digital and supporter journey projects.
- Observe all legal and legislative requirements, comply with policies and procedures, and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and integrity.

Our Values
Migrant Democracy Project (MDP) envisions a society where all migrants at home in the UK hold collective, political power to shape a society rooted in justice, freedom, and solidarity.
We are looking for a full-time Community Outreach Officer to organise first-generation migrants in the UK towards migrant justice by supporting community members to organise events and participate in campaign activities. The work will connect across 3 streams: voter registration; advocacy & campaigns; and political empowerment.
Whether it’s engaging migrants at a voter registration stall, supporting migrant leaders to develop activities in their own communities, or sharing stories for the campaign for votes for all - the lived experience of first generation migrants is at the heart of all our activities.
We are looking for a proactive Community Outreach Officer who is passionate about migrants’ rights and democracy to start working as soon as possible.
Who funds the role?
The role is funded by a grant from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
Contract
This is a fixed term contract, 2 years (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants). Benefits include:

Location

The Community Outreach Officer will work flexibly from home on administrative tasks and be expected to work in-person when necessary to deliver voter registration, training, informative, advocacy and campaign activities, as well as representing MDP at relevant community events.
This role will suit someone based in Greater London.

Qualifications

About the role
We’re looking for a Digital Experience Manager with a background in managing and developing websites and digital products, as well as previous experience of line management, to join our friendly and expert Digital Team.
As the Digital Experience Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-quality, accessible and customer-focused online brand presence by optimising content, journeys and audience experience on our website and other digital platforms. What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Lead on the digital experience strategy for the organisation. Using insight to design, implement, test, measure and optimise as needed.

The Fundraising Officer - Events role sits in the Events team. This team is responsible for a portfolio of third party organised sports events - such as London Marathon, Tough Mudder, Cardiff Half and skydives - that will raise more than £4.5 million in the next financial year.
The Events team is a part of a wider Community, Events and Products Fundraising team. Our vision is to engage, grow and inspire a community of passionate fundraisers to power the fight for mental health. Because together, we can change lives.
You'll play a pivotal role in the Community, Events and Products Fundraising team's strategic objective to sustain and improve the portfolio to raise £12.9million by March 2026
This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a secondment.
Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
-Steward event participants; this could include undertaking welcome calls, sending supporter communications, providing ongoing fundraising support, following up non-payments, personalised thanking, and supporter surveys. This can be done across a range of channels including mail, email, and telephone, online and face to face.
-Attend events to help enhance our supporters experience and deepen their relationship with Mind.
-Work with the Senior Fundraising Officer to deliver events fundraising activity. This can include planning, writing and submitting briefs, generating marketing and stewardship communications, working with third party agencies, setting up web pages, delivering memorable on the day experiences for our supporters, reporting and analysing live activity and conducting evaluations.
-Analyse and interpret data, including marketing and stewardship performance, and adjust tactics to continuously improve and ensure results are met.
-Produce high quality analysis reports for activities, including recommendations to inform and improve future fundraising.
-Work with our media agency and internal Digital Teams to achieve Mind's digital-first strategy, attending training opportunities with internal teams and external agencies to upskill as needed, and thinking digital-first in the briefing of all new activity.
-Maintain high standards of data capture by ensuring data entered on systems are accurate and timely, in accordance with the team's requirements.

What the job involves
We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.
In this role, you’ll also need the ability to prioritise tasks and handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and manage challenging conversations when needed.
