We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Officer to support our team campaigning to stop the development of new oil and gas fields and for a rapid and fast phase out of oil & gas in the UK through a just transition.

Uplift is a campaigning and research organisation which supports efforts to create a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas production in the UK. We have coordinated and implemented major successful campaigns and developed cutting-edge campaign, communications and research tactics. The Role

Core responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining and implementing content plan for social media channels (primarily Instagram, X, Tiktok and Facebook) including drafting copy, creating content and ensure consistent posting for all channels with the guidance of Digital campaigner/Digital Campaign Lead and campaign team
• Producing a range of daily digital content for Uplift’s social media channels - from simple social-first graphic design, to lo-fi effective social video content
• Working in collaboration with other creatives - ie graphic designers, video producers, creators and influencers - for additional campaign assets
• Creating reactive content and messaging to respond to current events, helping Uplift maximise opportunities for engagement and growth using the news cycle
• Community management across the various campaign channels
• Developing social media toolkits and coordinating with partners around big mobilisations
• Analysing the performance of social media outputs and their contribution towards the wider campaign, and making recommendations on how to improve
• Managing the distribution of key pieces of social media content to relevant stakeholders to increase online amplification (partners, groups and pages)
• Supporting the campaign team on other digital tasks as required: ie  maintaining campaign websites, digital action tools, online databases and email inbox

Overall Purpose of the Job: To work as part of the communications team to plan, implement and optimise communications for our members.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver membership communications through our website, email and social media
• Creating and sending out member emails, ensuring that activity is consistent, accurate and timely
•  Creating social media posts across multiple Twitter accounts, as well as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram ensuring they are accurate, consistent and timely
• Ensure the communications calendar is maintained and accurate, and work with the communications team to ensure all messaging is appropriately scheduled to ensure maximum engagement and member experience
• Supporting the team in proofreading communications to ensure messaging and standards are consistent
• Monitor and improve email and social media communications through regular reporting and recommending improvements
• Working with wider BSG team to support communication of key projects and initiatives across all channels
•  Make content additions and updates to the website as required
• Understand and use core functionality on the website to a high standard, and play a role in maintaining and improving processes and their documentation
• Work with Head of Communications and Senior Communications Executive to identify areas for improvement and recommending solutions, including proofreading existing work

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

As Crisis’ Media Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health.

Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. At Crisis we always champion the voices and experiences of the people who we support. You’ll help create bold and hard-hitting news stories to engage our audiences and bring to life some of our biggest organisational campaigns, like our annual Christmas appeal. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build relationships with key journalists. 

About you 

You will have: 

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment/ PR agency or as a journalist. 

• Experience of supporting with or delivering impactful media campaigns or stories that have helped secure quality coverage in national and regional news outlets, as well as softer consumer features.

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging copy for a range of audiences, including political, consumer, tabloid, trade and everything in between. 

• Experience of working with case studies, identifying and preparing stories for the media and empowering people to share their experiences.

• Strong news sense, with a good working knowledge of the UK media, including digital media production, with experience of creating digital first coverage and amplifying campaign messages creatively in the digital sphere.

Growing, planning & delivering KCLSU campaigns

• Provide resources, support and mentoring to student officers and student campaigners, utilising digital and offline organising models of engagement, to support them to develop hard-hitting and effective campaigns.

Health Poverty Action (HPA) acts in solidarity with poor and marginalised communities in their struggle for health and social justice, recognising these injustices are often rooted in colonialism and imperialism (both historical and ongoing) and have strong racial and gender dimensions.

We develop and implement locally rooted and culturally appropriate solutions to improve health for communities in 10 countries across Central America, Asia and Africa. Alongside these global programmes, we campaign to change the unjust policies and practices that push people into poverty and destroy their health and tackle the powerful vested interests that sustain them.

As Partnership Officer, you will be the critical driver of growing our partnerships fundraising and ensuring that more people worldwide are able to realise their right to health. 

• Job purpose: To help grow unrestricted income for Health Poverty Action through community and corporate partnerships. 
• Location: Home-based, within commuting distance to London for events and meetings. 
• Salary: £26,095 rising in length of service increments to £29,832. 
• Responsible to: Head of Fundraising 
• Annual leave: 25 days per year, plus the time between Christmas and New Year, plus bank holidays.

Your key responsibilities will be flexible. You’ll manage your workload and set objectives, priorities and deadlines with the Head of Fundraising. Your work will include: 

• Partnerships Fundraising: You’ll lead and grow our partnerships fundraising portfolio by nurturing existing relationships and identifying new prospective partnerships. You will prepare proposals, pitches, and reports based on key funding needs, and implement stewardship plans to retain support, maximising partnership value. 

• Community Fundraising: You’ll manage community-based fundraising efforts, including coordinating with other organisations. Develop new community fundraising initiatives and engage volunteers, working to maintain an established network of volunteers which support community fundraising activities.

• Events Fundraising: You will manage our fundraising events, including the London Marathon. This will include recruitment, resourcing, relationship-building and supporting our event participants in their fundraising efforts. We are also excited for you to develop and oversee other innovative and profitable one-off events. 

• Fundraising Management: You will monitor and report on fundraising activities, manage relevant website pages, and ensure effective administration and record-keeping. You’ll need to stay abreast of industry trends and react accordingly to maximize opportunities.

War on Want campaigns in the UK to challenge human rights abusing corporations and governments, and hold those responsible for inequality and poverty to account. They publish in-depth research exposing injustice and human rights abuse globally. They work in partnership with grassroots groups, trade unions and workers’ organisations in the Global South. Working closely with the Director of Income & Engagement, your strategies and campaigns will deepen the relationship between War on Want and its individual supporters to both increase participation in their campaigns and grow unrestricted income.

The campaigns you run will acquire, retain, and develop individual supporters using a range of channels both on and offline. The ultimate aim of these activities is to increase the number of active War on Want members who support their work through regular direct debit donations. In addition, you will lead War on Want’s legacy programme and manage the Income & Engagement Assistant to ensure the delivery of first-class supporter care processes and an unbeatable supporter experience.

As individual giving lead, you will join the team at a very exciting time. They have recently launched a new supporter mobilisation strategy to bring transformative growth to our supporter base. This role would be well suited to someone who has worked across a range of channels: tele-marketing, direct mail and digital. You will have a passion for political change and activism!

The starting salary is £46,636 and the role is hybrid working, with one day a month at War on Want’s head office. More in-person days are required on an ad-hoc basis.

As a key member of our small, dedicated team, you will be instrumental in developing and marketing Icon membership while delivering exceptional customer service. Specific duties

Membership services

• Processing membership applications.
• Maintaining accurate membership records on the CRM system (Ready Membership).
• Responding to enquiries from prospective members, existing members, colleagues and the general public within agreed customer service timeframes.

Data management

• Effectively use data analytics to understand impact and success rates and deliver informative regular reporting against agreed KPIs.

Content and communications

• Working collaboratively with the wider Icon Team to develop the annual communications plan in line with the annual operational plan.
• Developing, commissioning and delivering the production of content for Icon’s website and Social Media channels in line with communications plan.
• Maintaining and updating Icon’s website in line with analytics data and communications plan.
• Developing and issuing Icon’s monthly internal and external email newsletters.

Marketing

• Contributing to the implementation of Icon’s Membership Growth Strategy by assisting with the development of recruitment campaigns.
• Supporting the implementation of marketing plans and promotional ideas.
• Supporting the development of Icon’s Social Media strategy and contribute to Icon’s Email Marketing strategy by utilising external newsletters to support broader advocacy work and marketing lead generation.
• Coordinating Icon’s presence at partner and sector events, including the design and production of marketing collateral, ensuring a visible presence and effective contribution is achieved.

Other

• Support Icon’s 28 special interest groups, including responding to queries and administering and promoting group events.
• Actively contributing to the development of marketing and communication initiatives relating to wider activity within Icon.

We’re thrilled to be working with Herts Young Homelessness to recruit an Individual Giving Officer to join their small, dedicated team.  

Herts Young Homelessness works with 16–24-year-olds who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness and those whose families are at risk of relationship breakdown. Their services empower young people to deal with the difficult situations in their lives, giving them the ability and confidence to 'do it themselves' and ultimately find stability.

The postholder will manage a portfolio of individual donors, providing excellent stewardship through meaningful engagement and thoughtful communications. You’ll work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Events Officer to achieve a team target of £453,000.

To succeed in the role of Individual Giving Officer, you will need:

• An understanding of support acquisition and retention, supporter journey development and motivations for giving
• Experience of using a CRM database to support relationship management
• Understanding of developing fundraising or communication initiatives or campaigns
