About the role

You’ll ensure service enquiries are handled sensitively and efficiently, demonstrating excellent customer care skills via telephone, email and occasionally face to face. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of services includes Moving Forward courses, Living with Secondary Breast Cancer and Younger Women Together.

About you

You’re enthusiastic, proactive and committed to providing excellent customer service. An experienced administrator, you’ll be organised and methodical as well as possessing excellent working knowledge of IT systems, including working with databases.

Friendly and approachable, you’ll be able to quickly build effective connections with new people and have a sensitive approach and understanding of confidentiality appropriate for working with vulnerable people.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. These partnerships will generate both donations and earned income, with corporate partners contracting Tender to deliver workplace training. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding approaches and workforce training pitches, through to successfully managing relationships with corporate partners.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in researching and developing prospect lists for priority industries and implementing new business campaigns which will secure multi-year high value partnerships, both for workplace training and donations
• Experience of selling training programmes to businesses
• Experience in developing engaging and impactful partnership proposals and training propositions
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels

The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

• Working with the Development team to collectively achieve annual fundraising targets exceeding £2m per year
• Selling workplace training and donation opportunities to corporate partners across a range of industries, but in particular the legal and financial services sectors
• Supporting the CEO and Development Director to increase Tender’s workplace training delivery in order to achieve income targets through sales
• Contributing to applications and events in support of fundraising from other sources

FICS is seeking a creative and committed Communications Officer to join the Development and Communications team. The purpose of this role is to deliver FICS' communications strategy, expanding our reach and producing engaging and accessible content. The Oasis Hub Waterloo team are currently looking for a Foodbank Trusts & Corporate Fundraiser to raise much-needed funds for our Waterloo Foodbank and other strategic partners.

The successful applicant would be responsible for writing funding bids for trusts, and also developing relationships with local businesses, to increase our unrestricted corporate income.

Some of the duties of this newly created role include:

· Research and identify potential short- and long-term funders from among grant making trusts and statutory bodies.

· To prepare written applications in co-operation with and on behalf of Waterloo Foodbank projects and ensure suitable budgets are prepared.

· Develop relationships with corporate organisations that align with our values and vision that would be open to an approach for financial support.

The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate:

· Proven successful experience of fundraising.

· Understanding of the statutory and grant-making funding sector.

· Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective supporters.

· Experience of fundraising from corporates.

· Excellent written skills including writing persuasive copy for funding proposals.

An exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing fundraising team and help shape our new fundraising campaign to improve patient care and reduce ill health across communities.

As Director of Development, you’ll lead our efforts to bring major donors, trusts/foundations and corporate partners into long term relationships of trust with the Royal College of Physicians. Your core responsibility will be to encourage and motivate the fundraising team, including line management of the Deputy Director for Corporate Partnerships and the Head of Philanthropy. You’ll also cultivate your own individual portfolio of international donors and find opportunities to engage face-to-face with prospective supporters at the major and principal gift level.

You’ll be trusted to work autonomously to develop and implement our fundraising strategy and work with our development board on planning for a new fundraising campaign, following the successful close of our £10 million Giving Health campaign. You will help achieve our strategic aim to increase our income from major gift fundraising and, depending on results, you’ll also have the opportunity to grow the size of the fundraising function.

You’ll report to and work closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and have the full support and involvement of the President, College Officers and Trustees.

Purpose and scope

Key responsibilities

• Shape the overall strategic goals of a new multi-year fundraising campaign and ensure that we deliver our ambitious income generation targets on an annual basis
• Work closely with the president, trustees, chief executive officer and other senior colleagues and volunteers to develop and implement the RCP's fundraising strategy
• Enhance our fundraising profile to highlight the contributions of donors and the impact of funded projects at all levels
• Refresh our fundraising comms strategy and produce high quality, in-depth digital and hardcopy materials
• Plan an annual programme of engagement between the President/CEO and international major gift prospects, including from the 20% of our membership based outside of the UK
• Facilitate the work of development committee members in advising on strategy, monitoring progress towards agreed targets, introducing new prospects, and helping with cultivation
• Support the development of fundraising skills among colleagues - both your direct reports, the Deputy Director for Corporate Partnerships and the Head of Philanthropy - and senior colleagues involved in making asks
• Maximise the fundraising potential of the RCP’s heritage collections and grow the fundraising income of our museum, archive, and library
• Ensure due diligence on prospective donors and adherence to internal processes and procedures for fundraising, reporting, financial management and information management
• Oversee the existing awards programme, which is administered by the development administrator

About you

• A proven track record of effective fundraising leadership
• Substantive major gift experience, including securing six figure gifts from either individuals, trusts/foundations or corporate partners
• Influencing and negotiating at the most senior levels externally and within an organisation; able to describe and communicate compelling propositions and to 'ask' for the gift
• Track record of developing a fundraising strategy over time, demonstrating innovation and creativity as well as knowledge and experience of successful programmes from peer organisations
• Highly developed stakeholder management skills with proven ability to create, develop and sustain trusted and effective relationships with major philanthropic partners and potential partners
• Highly developed networking skills to build and sustain a network of supporters for the RCP
• Track record of successful line management that builds and motivates a successful team

Bristol Charities mission is to provide opportunities and support for people and communities to improve lives through grants, housing and charitable projects.

They are at a very exciting time in their development and have created a new role of Director of Fundraising & Communications to help them on their journey. This a new role that will play a crucial part in shaping the future of the charity as well as securing the resources to deliver sustainable growth in the work and impact of the charity.

Going forward their work will be delivered though a distinctive and coherent Community Hub model, which will be holistic, person-centred, integrated, joined-up, and promote a partnership approach.  They also purchased The Vassall Centre in 2021, with long term plans to redevelop the site for community benefit.

In the short term they plan to relaunch the Vassall Centre as a standout, accessible, and affordable workspace venue for charitable organisations.  Their community Hubs will include directly delivered Bristol Charities programmes/projects, services delivered by local partners, and services delivered by their strategic partners. They are also looking to increase the number of housing units they manage, either through development of their existing sites, through acquisition of new sites or through partnership working with other local housing providers, and any new Housing Schemes will incorporate the new Hub model.

Bristol Charities now need to recruit an experienced, passionate, and entrepreneurial fundraising professional; someone who is capable of not only overseeing a small but growing communications function, but who also recognises the importance of aligning fundraising and communications strategies and activity. 

With this role, there will be the opportunity to build a fundraising function from scratch and lead on the fundraising and communications strategy for the charity, at a time of exciting change. The work would go across a range of sectors and will provide an opportunity to impact the city in lasting and tangible ways.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Fundraising will play a key role in the Senior Leadership Team by providing thoughtful and creative leadership and productive working relationships with other Directors, teams, and colleagues, helping to set the direction for the charity and tackling strategic challenges.

For this role, we are seeking:

· Extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context, specifically across key areas of income generation.

· Must be target driven to achieve income objectives set.

· Relevant professional qualifications or qualified through experience (either fundraising or communications).

· Leadership at a senior executive level with experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.

This is an exciting new role, and the person will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing fundraising plans to support delivery of all projects and programmes. As Trusts & Foundations Officer, you will build, cultivate and steward a portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations and donors with the ability to give up to £20,000.  You will be expected to apply to a range of trusts and grant giving bodies who have the potential to give four, five and six-figure annual grants, ensuring that applications are closely aligned to the objectives of the funder and that meet St Giles Trust’s aims and objectives.

We will also count on you to conduct prospect research and identify new funding opportunities, to support with generating increased unrestricted income for St Giles Trust and to maintain excellent knowledge of grant giving bodies, the charity sector and trends, identifying and capitalising on relevant opportunities for St Giles Trust. Managing the production of detailed and regular impact reports to existing donors, ensuring all research is accurate and a full record of research is maintained, plus supporting on the planning and delivery of fundraising events are also essential aspects of this role.

• One year’s experience working in an administrative role
• A proven ability to research, identify and develop individual approaches to charitable trusts and foundations

About the role 

As a Partnerships Development Executive, you will join the Partnerships and National Engagement Team during an exciting period of growth and will play an active role in helping build new transformational partnerships which support Crisis’ new ten-year strategy.

Day-to-day you will often be the first point of contact for new companies wanting to support Crisis, working closely with Corporate Social Responsibility Teams and business leaders to identify shared objectives and values, helping key stakeholders to understand our mission to end homelessness. You will be instrumental in building exciting partnerships including brand, strategic and charity of the year partnerships.

You will join a supportive and effective team, utilising your outstanding stakeholder management and excellent communication skills to build new partnerships ensuring maximum potential is achieved for Crisis and our new partners. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious partnership fundraiser, who loves making new connections and is comfortable leading on smaller applications and proposals and providing instrumental support across larger partnership opportunities.

About you

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to achieve maximum impact upon relevant situations and audience. 

• Previous experience of writing proposals and presentations 

• Awareness of business trends and corporate audience insights, and able to identify new opportunities for Crisis partnerships.

• Confidence working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful partnerships.

• A proactive team player, able to work closely with others in pursuit of a shared purpose. 

• Passion for ending homelessness in the UK.
