About Us:
Since 2006, ROLDA has dedicated itself to aiding vulnerable stray animals in Romania, one of Europe s poorer nations. Our mission includes rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Our EU-standard shelters, inspired by British designs, can house up to 700 stray dogs, providing them with complete veterinary care and preparation for rehoming.
We have supported over 48,000 animals and built two dog shelters and one for disabled and senior cats. Additionally, we offer small grants to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We primarily rehome animals in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. By addressing the root causes of animal homelessness through neutering programmes and educational initiatives, we have significantly reduced overpopulation, helping over 40,000 cats and dogs in Romania and Ukraine.

Job Overview:
As the Volunteer Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and impact of ROLDA through volunteer engagement. This is a remote position that requires strategic thinking, people management skills, and a commitment to achieving our charity’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment and Management:

• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to support ROLDA’s various programs and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a volunteer database using CRM systems to track volunteer activities and engagements.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, building strong relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and necessary resources for successful completion of volunteer initiatives.

Community Awareness and Fundraising:
 Promote community awareness about ROLDA’s mission and activities through public relations and public speaking engagements.
 Organise fundraising activities and events to support ROLDA’s financial goals.
 Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to support income generation growth.

Operational Support:

•  Maintain effective communication with the UK and international team of ROLDA and its partners, collaborators.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to volunteer management and charitable activities.

Abilities and Competencies:
 Experience in managing and maintaining CRM data.
 The ability to be self-motivated with a high level of self-discipline and motivation.

About the role

We are now recruiting a knowledgeable and experienced Climate Resilience Programme Manager to continue leading our climate action strategy. The purpose of the role is to bring climate change expertise to grow, strengthen, deepen, and diversify our innovative programme portfolio, continue to minimise the negative environmental impacts of all of our programmes, and deepen our carbon emissions reduction strategy as we continue to expand the reach and impact of our organisation.

You will build strong partnerships by working closely alongside our local partners in programme design, technical knowledge, implementation and monitoring. It is anticipated that the post will include 3-4 overseas trips per annum.

The role affords huge scope for personal development, with the flexibility and autonomy needed to shape this critical area of programming. A particular objective will be to strengthen the M&E across the portfolio and access additional external funding for scaling up our climate resilience programmes.

You should have:

Essential

• Experience in the climate resilience sector and demonstrable knowledge of how to build and manage climate resilience programmes
• Knowledge of humanitarian and/or livelihoods programming, including monitoring, evaluation accountability and learning (MEAL) processes is critical
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with overseas partners with varying levels of English.
• Strong administrative, research, analysis, numeracy and IT skills.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills with an ability to produce accurate, factual and compelling reports, proposals, and presentations

Desirable

• Demonstrable knowledge of carbon emissions reduction within organisations
• Demonstrable experience in supporting resource mobilisation
• Knowledge of gender theory and inclusion practices
• Experience of working in Nepal, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, or the Philippines

A little bit about the role 

We seek a graduate with excellent communication skills for our Recruitment team. You must be able to manage data, multitask, and adapt to dynamic environments. Enhance Frontline’s social worker training selection process with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

We think the internship at Frontline is unlike other internships. You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to develop key skills for your future career, while also holding a core role within the team. You will be joining us at our busiest time and so will have day to day coordinator responsibilities throughout the year. This makes it a great first step into your career as you’ll have real practical examples to take forward. You will work with the Selection Manager and Selection Officers to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate at Approach Social Work assessment centres, supporting assessors and sharing responsibility for ensuring days run smoothly and consistently​
• Manage the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors)​
• Act as first point of contact for candidates experiencing technical difficulties with IT systems used as part of selection process.

Feasibility and insight will be the backbone of your work. You'll be able to demonstrate how you've used data to drive decisions and develop products and campaigns. You'll also be digitally savvy, and an ability to create and manage Meta campaigns would be a great advantage.

BACKGROUND

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a pioneering Human Rights charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are the survivors of trafficking and torture, including gender-based and ‘honour-based’ violence. Recognising the complexity of each client’s suffering and needs, the Foundation provides specialist medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection and practical support to survivors of human rights violations by helping men, women and children heal the emotional and physical damage they have suffered through torture, trafficking or other forms of cruelty.  We take the learning from our work to develop partnerships to increase survivors’ access to services, and use the learning generated by our clients and partners to drive system change.

Since August 2020, Asylum Aid has been part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group. Asylum Aid operates as an independent charity, led by its own Executive Director within the group structure, and is ambitious about growing its impact and reach in the future to ensure protection from persecution for those who need it.  For over thirty years, Asylum Aid has been providing legal representation to some of the most vulnerable people seeking asylum. It has built an expert service, delivering vital and life-saving services in some of the most complex legal cases, with a particular speciality working with unaccompanied children, survivors of trafficking, torture or other forms of human cruelty, and stateless people. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

 The Head of People is a new role for the organsiation and you will be joining us at an exciting time, as we are moving into new offices and seek to drive forward our new 2025-2030 strategy.  This role will play a pivotal role in implementing our objective to be an employer of choice. maintaining and evolving our strong team culture, and strengthening our position as leader in evidence based management and leadership practices.  In this role you will be supported to develop the capacity, capability and human resource systems of the organisation to achieve impact at scale with a strong and effective team and will work in close collaboration with the CEO, the members of the Executive Leadership Team and Management Team as well as the Senior HR and Operations Officer.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

The Global Press & PR Manager will play a vital role in growing awareness and exposure of Street Child, working with journalists, editors and media houses to build a consistent and pro-active media presence. Street Child’s Global MMC team is fully integrated into the whole organisation and our primary aim is to raise awareness of Street Child and act as a force-multiplier for fundraising efforts.

The role will explore new media relationships and re-ignite existing contacts, turbo-charging the value press and media generates for Street Child.

This is a role for a high-class media professional with a passion for our mission, great energy, imaginations and fantastic relationship building skills. This role requires an individual who will be based in our London office for a minimum of three days a week.

Tasks include delivering media coverage across global outlets, supporting the delivery of media training and briefings and the management/development of Street Child’s podcast.

Strategic support (10%):

• Working closely with key stakeholders from other departments within Street Child to provide PR support, as well as developing and executing creative ways to deliver Street Child’s objectives.

To support the development and delivery of Lifelites services by co-ordinating the installation of new packages of technology, training and partner engagement.

Main duties and responsibilities

 Technology provision

- To co-ordinate the application and consultation process for children’s palliative care services invited to apply for new packages of technology.

- To create documentation annually to capture all equipment requests, costings and associated partnership agreements.

- To co-ordinate technology installation schedules and liaise with Lifelites Champions to ensure efficient project delivery.

- To produce handouts and user guides for installation and ongoing training sessions aligned to Lifelites technology installation schedule.

- To attend and support the delivery of events, installations and Lifelites functions and represent Lifelites within children’s palliative care settings and forums.

- To provide administrative support for new technology pilots and other innovation activity.

- To support the development of Lifelites 25th anniversary activities, which are currently in development.

Learning and development

- To respond to training requests and co-ordinate installation and ongoing face-to-face training by liaising with Lifelites Champions, Lifelites Trainer and Head of Services to book dates and prepare training itineraries.

- To co-ordinate Lifelites Super User events including venue bookings, scheduling and training providers.

- To capture and monitor training feedback and prepare briefings for Head of Services and Trainer.

- To support the development and implementation of Lifelites e-learning platform, including course modules, interactive learning and activity ideas.

Partner engagement
