With a deep understanding of effective marketing campaigns through a variety of media and a passion for marketing and strategy, you will act as contact for journalists and media outlets, work across all teams, advising and supporting the production of new materials and content, supporting the communications aspects of all our programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of our audiences.

Who we are looking for

Our Communications Services team is seeking a talented Social Media and Digital Communications Lead, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree.

You will need to be highly creative with the ability to produce social media campaigns, digital content and videos, coordinate and deliver a range of communications materials, and lead the development of engaging websites to tell our clients’ stories. Plus, you’ll need to be highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and manage large projects. You should also be open to travel, as the role could require you to visit projects in Africa or Asia.

What you will do

You’ll produce creative content and lead our social media and digital services for international development and research organisations around the world, covering topics such as climate change, health, poverty reduction, social equity, agriculture, water resources management, and green cities. You’ll need to think strategically and creatively, respond effectively to emerging trends, and help our team develop and grow.

Your role will include:

• Leading social media and digital communications services: you will conceptualise, coordinate and deliver social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters and other digital products for our clients – leading innovative content strategies that drive engagement. You will also project manage other content development and graphic design work as needed.
• Content creation: you will create social media content and assets, graphics, videos and animations. You will also develop design templates and mock-ups, format presentations and Microsoft Word documents, produce event materials and make website updates.
• Managing Scriptoria’s social media and website: you will lead Scriptoria’s internal social media strategy and ensure our website and digital landscape remains dynamic and up to date. You will test and advise the team on new tools or programs.
• Business development as part of the team: you will explain our work to potential new clients, showcase our many successful projects, increase the amount of digital work flowing into the company, and so ensure that Scriptoria’s Communications team moves from strength to strength.

Working at Scriptoria

This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, gain experience in different areas and contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides. As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is happy to support a variety of tasks and develop further skills, as needed, in the role.

Our staff have the flexibility to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, South-West London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30; 40 hours/week). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings with clients. Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with other team members to share skills and exchange ideas.

You will have 25 days of annual leave per year, plus UK public holidays.

Key skills and experience required

1. A 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
2.  A minimum of four years’ work experience in a communications role.
3. Extensive knowledge and use of social media channels (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.), marketing platforms (e.g. for newsletters) and management tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
4. Experience using a range of tools to create digital communications materials (e.g. Canva and video editing software; Illustrator and Premier Pro would be an advantage) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
5. Understanding of the digital landscape, emerging trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital communications (including SEO, UI, UX, Information Architecture).
6. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media, digital and campaign strategies, and using reporting and analytics tools – with proven success in driving engagement and followers.
7. Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
8. Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.
9. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

About the Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager role:

The Trusts and Statutory fundraising team meet donations targets by looking for suitable opportunities to apply to trusts, statutory and lottery funders to enable delivery of charitable impact. The Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager plays a key role in the development and delivery of the charity’s Trusts and Statutory fundraising strategy.

What you'll bring as our Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager:

Knowledge of the funding sector and the work of the charity, making a credible ambassador for the charity. Understands and implements good funder stewardship practice. Understands the requirements of the fundraising regulator, particularly as it applies to trusts and statutory funding.

Excellent knowledge of trusts and grant givers in the UK, including giving trends. Talented writer, able to craft compelling narratives to showcase our cases for support and our impact. Persuasive interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Highly articulate and numerate. Good analytical skills, including analysing and manipulating data for project reporting. Able to consider patterns and potential and feed into future planning.

Substantial (three or more years) proven track record of raising five and six figure gifts from Trusts, Foundations, or public bodies, and demonstrable experience of meeting financial targets. ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver an excellent experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

The North & East of Scotland is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from hospitals across the region, and our Home from Home, ‘Ciaran’s House’ in Edinburgh, enables families to stay close to their loved one for free during treatment, so building relationships with these teams are a must.

Candidates should live within North & East Scotland, in one of the following counties: Aberdeenshire, Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Edinburgh & the Lothians, Fife, Highland, Inverness, Moray or Perth & Kinross. Our GOF team sits within the larger operations function under the Director of Finance & Operations. The team is responsible for managing Elrha's financial planning, management and reporting; and leads on the operational aspects of grant management.

As our new Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our programmes and activities run smoothly and efficiently. Supporting the Head of GOF, you will complete financial activities and reports, manage statutory and project audits plus develop (and improve) financial management processes. 

You will be analytical, resourceful and have strong technical accounting, financial management and reporting experience. It is essential that you are either a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience. 

Your application will need to demonstrate: 

• Experience in the financial management of grants from institutional donors within the International Aid Sector. 
• Experience of managing restricted expenditure and reporting to institutional donors. 
• Experience in the management of budgets and financial management information with complex funding arrangements.

• Developing a compelling fundraising plan for mid and major value donors, contributing to the philanthropy strategy, and aligning with the charity's overall goals.

The Senior Finance Manager will lead the financial accounting, reporting and control activities within Mary’s Meals UK and to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with good practice. You will be responsible for the maintenance of accurate financial records, for the integrity of the accounting system and for compliance with regulatory requirements with regard to accounting records and reporting.

This is a full-time, permanent role that can be based anywhere within the UK.

Principal duties include:

• Provide leadership, management and coaching to the Finance team.
• Ensure quality control over the completion and recording of financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop, implement and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain an ongoing system of internal controls.
• Ensure appropriate controls are adhered to in order to manage all financial risks.
• Oversee cash management of several currency bank accounts.
• To be responsible for the provision of weekly financial updates, month end close process and the year-end financial close process.
• Produce Annual Financial Statements in line with Company Law, UK Charity SORP and Auditing requirements, and liaise with external auditors.
• Supply all year end analysis and schedules to the external auditors as required in the Audit Deliverables document and to run the year end audit process.
• Prepare the Quarterly Income and Expenditure Forecast for MMUK for review and approval by Senior Management.
• Prepare the Annual Budget and all related analysis for MMUK for review and approval by Senior Management and the Board.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Charity, Company, and Taxation legislation by keeping up to-date with developments in accounting standards and recommended practice.
• Liaise with the Fundraising departments to maintain accurate records of restricted funding, and to provide financial information for grant applications and reports.
• Proactively manage the monthly cash transfer process to facilitate timely and appropriate transfer to Mary’s Meals International.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely production of high-quality monthly Management Accounts.
• Oversee the monthly payroll processes including supply of information to payroll bureaus and authorisation of payment by bureaus.
• Maintain and update employee information for online submission of Group Pension Scheme and other providers of employee benefits.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Mary’s Meals International Finance team and be responsible for the provision of necessary information.
• Represent Mary’s Meals UK at external finance meetings and events as required.

- You will have a strong understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety teams in organisations that occupy multiple leased premises, run large and small scale public events, offer service delivery to vulnerable members of the public or have a largely home and community based workforce.

What we need from you

We are looking for an experienced leader and manager who is skilled in building and developing effective relationships with colleagues, particularly with a workforce which is geographically dispersed. Although this role is predominantly working from home the role does require monthly travel to see our local teams which are currently accross the south of England. You must have access to a stable home broadband service, good mobile signal, a full driving licence and your own transport as well as flexibility with working hours.
