Fundraising & Development Department Coordinator

Reporting to: Director of Fundraising and Development 

Location of work: Remote with time in the office to support with team days, events, campaigns and org away days Remote working may be considered.

JOB PURPOSE 

The Fundraising and Development department is responsible for ensuring Magic Breakfast’s on-going sustainability through the generation of income and other critical non-financial support. The Department Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other members of the Fundraising Leadership to facilitate closer alignment across the department, help unlock and enable income growth, whilst also providing administrative and coordination support to the team more broadly. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in developing and delivering the department-wide calendar of stewardship events, working with colleagues from across the major gifts team to identify opportunities to connect our supporters even further with the impact of our work

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support with the coordination, diary management and planning for any department away days, planning or reflection sessions 

• Identify opportunities to add value, enhance efficiencies and reduce siloed working across the department, for example through collaboration and resource/ knowledge sharing 

• Support the Fundraising Officer where necessary to act as the key welcome point to people reaching out to support Magic Breakfast, responding to enquiries received on the phone, escalating and triaging queries where necessary.

• Assist the Gifts Officer with gift processing when required, including the processing of cheques, sending acknowledgements, and adding gifts to our CRM, Salesforce 

• Support the department with scoping and research for new fundraising products or initiatives 

• Manage all aspects of the monthly Fundraising team meetings, ensuring they have maximum impact for all individuals and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

• Campaign Development: Oversee the development of multichannel paid social media marketing campaigns with the objective of providing our clients the best possible return on ad spend.
• Strategy refinement and innovation: Responsible for the refinement of the paid marketing strategies offered to our charity partners. Leading on testing new platform, audience and creative approaches which significantly improve outcomes.
• Industry Leadership: Understand and influence industry trends and standards, ensuring that Social Mind remains a leader in digital marketing innovation for the charity sector

Campaign Delivery

• Production: Oversee and support the production of marketing campaign resources such as copy and media ensuring the final execution meets our charity partners brand requirements and delivers the best possible results.
• Media Buying and Search Engine Optimisation: Oversee and support the delivery of paid social media campaigns with significant budgets working across a variety of channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), and more. Develop and execute SEO strategies.
• Campaign Optimisation: Continuously monitor campaign KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed to maximise ROAS and campaign effectiveness.

Team Leadership and Development

• Mentorship and Team Support: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in digital marketing practices. Lead on recruitment and resource management of both permanent staff and freelance contributors to build a strong marketing team capable of delivering exceptional results.

We’re looking for an experienced project manager interested in the deliberative democracy field to deliver selection and stratification services to customers, to enable randomly selected processes to take place at all levels of government & society. As a project manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth journey for our customers and a high quality of service delivery. 

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers to manage selection and stratification services

• Co-ordinate the design, printing and postage of invitation materials, including the random selection of addresses for the invitations to be sent to

• Developing web-pages (using a CMS) for customers to enable registration for randomly selected events

• Developing spreadsheets and back-end processes to enable random selection for events

• Co-ordinating the confirmation of selected participants and replacing those who drop out

• Preparing reports for customers

• Working closely with other members of the delivery team to support each other

The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community. 

The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.

About You

You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC 

• Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work

• Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging

About the Team 

You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. Role overview

The Senior Programme Manager will lead our delivery team and work closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure that we’re designing and delivering mentoring projects that meet our partner objectives. The postholder will line-manage key staff in the delivery team, delegate programme activity and oversee quality across our portfolio. The postholder will be accountable for engagement across our portfolio and for ensuring we meet targets and key performance indicators set by our partners for project outcomes.

The postholder will also lead the delivery of Brightside Mentoring, our London based mentoring project that’s currently funded until 31 December 2025. As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Senior Regional Engagement Manager to lead our dynamic UK field force, offering clear and supportive management to ensure high performance, and supporting our growth efforts in existing and new global markets.

As an integral part of IChemE’s management team, the role holder will represent the organisation’s key field force, supporting and driving operations through frequent liaison with other IChemE management, functional teams, member groups and committees. They will be a key contributor to achieving IChemE’s strategic goals

Alongside team leadership responsibilities, the role holder will develop and deliver their own regional strategy, working with regional HEIs, employers, and other priority partners to identify, nurture and grow sustainable relationships and engagement opportunities that positively impact IChemE’s member recruitment, engagement, and retention.
