Are you a dynamic, collaborative and compassionate individual with a proven track record as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system, whether in the community or in prisons.

If so, St Giles and the Wise Group are looking for a Women’s Wellbeing Coach to be an integral part of a multi-agency team providing person-centred support, where you will deliver holistic and trauma informed Women’s services to females on remand or unsentenced.

About this exciting opportunity

As Women’s Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users, who will be female adults aged 18 years and above on remand and unsentenced within HMP Peterborough.  This role will involve completing Trauma Informed assessments and developing, in collaboration with each service user, action plans which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

We will also rely on you to create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users and to deliver a range of interventions which contribute towards achieving pre-determined targets.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales are both essential aspects of the role, as is providing updates and reports, where required, using a range of formats.

What we are looking for

• Experience of working with females and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people.
• Proven record of delivering one-to-one and group coaching solutions.
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one.
• Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) qualification or willingness to be trained to the required level.
• Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload.
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, person-led support.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Lead the RSL’s direct digital marketing to Members, Fellows and subscribers, growing audiences and ensuring GDPR compliance

• Publicise RSL activities with input from colleagues, from advertising to promotions and merchandise, identifying key audiences for the RSL’s wide-ranging initiatives and new ways to engage them.

DIGITAL SYSTEMS - we want you to be experienced in content creation and delivery

• Working with the Head of Communications to update the website. Maintaining and developing the RSL’s online presence through the website to ensure this represents all aspects of the organisation’s work and is accessible
• Ensure the smooth running of the RSL’s online events booking system along with the Heads of Operations and Programmes.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION - we want you to be confident capturing and analysing data

• Analyse data to measure the success of campaigns, create reports and build future communications around results
• Provide relevant audience insight and analysis reporting to the team to inform programming decisions and to measure performance.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison.  This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved, and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.  You will deliver a range of interventions to service users, including group work sessions where required, and work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of prescribed locations across a wide geographical area.

We will also rely on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies including Probation, Prisons and partners, and work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards.  Using agreed CRM databases, recording all activity relating to caseload and ensuring all information is recorded within agreed deadlines are all also vital aspects of the role.

• Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 qualification in Advice and Guidance or equivalent

Main responsibilities

· Development and implementation of a fundraising strategy including a portfolio aimed at generating in the region of £500,000 per annum, building on existing fundraising activities and developing new fundraising initiatives.

· Use the portfolio indicators to enable us to make informed projections regarding future income.

· Explore and increase our income from grant giving trusts and foundations. At times working in fundraising partnerships with support of external consultants and colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network

· Implement a CRM system to oversee the above aspects.

· Share best practice and learning from other charities across the Trussell network.

Kineara has a new vacancy for an experienced Asylum and Refugee Housing Support Worker to join our small and dedicated team in this new project supporting recent granted refugees to find accommodation.

Asylum and Refugee Housing Support Practitioner   

Salary: £ 16 per hour 
Contract and term:  Self-employed 12 month contract, with a 3-month probation 
Hours: 35 hours per week Mon – Friday 
Location: Flexible, with time split between our office and partner organisations office in Southwark, local community and working from home 
 

About the project  

Set up by the Southwark Community Refugee Forum, alongside Southwark local community and charity organisations. Kineara provides a weekly drop-in surgery at the St Giles Center giving support and advice to refugees struggling to find PRS due to many barriers, including language. In 2023 the collaboration was formed to respond to the increasing need for housing support to asylum seekers with newly granted refugee status after the Home office made changes to the way they process asylum seekers.   

After 9 months of delivery, we are excited to have secured funding to deliver this work fulltime alongside our PRS Renters Support Programme in Southwark. We will provide crucial crisis support to vulnerable renters and are looking for a passionate housing support worker to be part of the next phase of the project.

Kineara is a unique community interest company that supports people in poverty across London who facing barriers to housing, employment and education. We identify and address barriers by providing holistic support for families, vulnerable adults, and school pupils, and deliver intensive one-to-one interventions to those in need of extra help through challenging times. About the role  

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic support worker to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Housing Support Practitioner in our small and dedicated team. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with the Council’s housing officers and resettlement workers, refugee support organisations, community services. The role involves coordinate tailored support for each client to find and sustain tenancies, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing housing advice. The objective of this programme is to support access to PRS properties, provide information about housing market and polices, help set up sustainable tenancies, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. You will be working in partnership with other stakeholders, such as council and refugee support professionals to improve family health, build relationships and engage families and individuals and their networks of support.   

About you  

You will have experience of working with individuals with complex needs. You will be an enthusiastic person who is self-motivated, confident and thrives when working independently with a passion to support change. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience delivering holistic support, be a solution-minded thinker, have a good understanding of strength-based approaches and be able work sensitively and empathetically with people in vulnerable circumstances. You will also have experience working in a systemic and therapeutic way and ideally have trauma informed training or experience. It is also important to us that you have the competency to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. To work as part of a team and independently, the roles require you to think creatively and use the resources around you effectively. A good understanding of one of the following languages is an advantage;

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Social Prescriber to join our team in Merton.

The Merton Social Prescribing service is one of the most established and mature services in the UK and is celebrating its 7th anniversary this year. We are seeking an individual to join our successful service in Southwest London. This role will help to strengthen the links between Primary Care, voluntary and public services to improve patients’ health and wellbeing. 

You will provide a person centred service to patients within Primary Care GP practices in Merton, and you will also support each patient to access appropriate services provided by voluntary and community organisations and other agencies. 

Social prescribing expands the options available in Primary Care by creating a ‘managed’ way for referrals of patients with social, emotional and/or practical needs. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting new initiatives such as a potential leadership development programme, the development of online learning modules, the creation of a Futures Lab and Data Observatory, and managing tender bids for new commercial contracts. Projects and Commercial Administrator will help deliver our portfolio of projects and programmes, the role will specifically include:

• Supporting the development and delivery of our workforce development strategy including:

Overview of the role

The postholder will be responsible for our events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships.

What you will do as part of our team

Strategic Planning

• Work with the Head of Fundraising & Major Donors and the other Fundraising Managers to refine and develop our established fundraising strategy to maximise income from events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships against an annual target.
• Develop our annual programme of events, including cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events, whether virtual or physical.

Events Management

• Overall responsibility for the design, planning and implementation of all Glass Door events, including our flagship fundraising event, the Sleep Out in the Square, and our annual supporter thank you event.
• Conduct an evaluation after each event, considering its successes, factors which could be improved and any recommendations moving forward.
• Oversee the Fundraising Officer as they support with the co-ordination and implementation of events.
• Ensure health and safety is at the core of all event planning and implementation.
• Manage our challenge events portfolio and identify new opportunities which could increase Glass Door’s income

Corporate Partnerships

• Pitch for corporate support including commercial partnerships, charity of the year relationships and sponsorship.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, working with companies where the focus is on employee fundraising and volunteering, cause related marketing and/or pro bono support.
• Develop a Corporate prospect pipeline, reengaging lapsed donors from our database, and identifying new prospective partners.

Community Fundraising

• Oversee our work with community groups, supporting the Fundraising Officer, ensuring we provide necessary stewardship, support and guidance.
• Local churches are big supporters of our work. Support the Fundraising Officer to maintain excellent relationships and support them with events
• Establish a new community fundraising product, as an additional or alternative option to our flagship event Sleep Out

• Stay well informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, ensure this is regularly communicated to the wider Fundraising team and forms the basis of Glass Door’s Fundraising Policy
