About the Role

As a Community Connector, you’ll support individuals referred by the Stepney and Wapping Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, helping them engage with services and activities. Based at our MindTHNR office and the Stepney and Wapping Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, you’ll build strong relationships, understand individuals’ interests and goals, and connect them to appropriate opportunities.

This role empowers individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) by supporting them to achieve their aspirations, access local services, and address key wellbeing factors such as housing, employment, and social isolation. You will also help identify wider issues impacting their health and wellbeing, such as debt, poor housing, unemployment, loneliness, and caring responsibilities, ensuring a holistic approach to support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one tailored support to help individuals set and achieve personal goals.
• Act as a local expert, connecting people with community services and resources.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and community organisations to create robust care pathways.
• Use tools like health coaching and motivational interviewing to overcome barriers and monitor progress.
• Advocate for inclusion and ensure access to welfare, legal, and community services.

Our team provide practical help to a range of complex needs and situations, and seek to bring hope to some of the most marginalised in our community.

This post is to join our team to work with a broad diversity of clients. Within this client group, the common factors of support needs are housing, mental health, addiction, employment, meaningful activities and building into community.

This role will be to undertake assessments of the clients, which will lead to a comprehensive, holistic and person centred support plan. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our adults project team as a project coordinator. The postholder will have significant experience of engaging south Asian communities in Lancashire. Alongside working on Connecting Communities.

We are looking for an individual who understands the communities of Lancashire and the barriers to engagement they may face. Fluency in languages such as Urdu, Punjabi or Bengali is advantageous. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a range of audiences and with the ability to build relationships quickly with service users and professionals.

Due to funding success, we are recruiting for a new Children and Young People’s School Coordinator in our Children and Young People’s Team. The new role will deliver a range of projects in primary and secondary schools and colleges across Lancashire.

Lancashire Mind 

The Sutton Trust believe that every young person deserves access to the skills, networks, and opportunities needed to succeed in. We deliver a suite of programmes which offer young people the opportunity to explore university, apprenticeships and a range of the UK’s leading professions, and the work of our programmes team Intern is essential to this mission.

The Sutton Trust are currently recruiting for two Interns within the programmes team. One will focus on supporting our Employability programmes including our Pathways to the professions programmes and our Alumni Careers Plus programmes which includes two new strands of the programme in Tech and Consulting launching in 2025. The other will work across the programmes team on our University Access programmes (eg Sutton Trust Summer Schools and Sutton Trust Online ) and Alumni programmes and activities

The Programmes Interns will play an integral part in the team to help deliver on these initiatives and the long-term aims of the organisation. The roles are varied and will support student communication and delivery across our school age (16-18) programmes and university (post 18) activities for alumni. This is an extremely exciting time to be at the Trust and the roles will require individuals to be creative, flexible and to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Main duties

• Manage student logistics including booking travel, reimbursements and accommodation across a range of programmes.
• Responding to multiple student-facing email inboxes to ensure timely and effective communication with beneficiaries.
• Being the first point of contact on the Sutton Trust main phone line, answering questions from a range of stakeholders
• Being a main point of contact for students around activity attendance, eg following up with students who haven’t attended
• Assisting with planning and delivery of a range of in person events eg, residential conferences for students on Pathways programmes, employability events for Sutton Trust alumni and online webinars
• Updating content on Sutton Trusts website, digital student platforms (Sutton Trust Online and Sutton Trust Alumni) and materials needed for programme delivery
• Updating appropriate databases, for example on student information or university details to ensure this is accurate
• Liaising with external stakeholders such as universities and employers to support logistical and administrative elements of programme delivery
• Supporting on the creation of reports for funders and programme partners based on student engagement and feedback data, including pulling together data and creating visuals for reports
• Other duties as necessary from time to time

Person Specification

• Has enthusiasm for and experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds
• Has an interest or understand of the education or not for profit sectors (knowledge of the UK higher education system is helpful, but not essential)

Terms of Appointment

The Executive Assistant role marks a pivotal moment in the history of Ealing Mencap, since their formation in 1965. It will suit someone looking to make a tangible impact, that wants to be close to the cause, ultimately creating a better future for every person with learning disabilities and additional needs.

Key responsibilities

* CEO Support: Manage the CEO's schedule, meeting preparations, follow-ups, and key stakeholder relationships to maximise their time and organisational impact.
* Governance and Board Support: Coordinate Board and Finance Subcommittee meetings, ensure timely preparation and distribution of agendas and papers, maintain accurate records, and act as a key liaison for Trustees.
* HR Administration: Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR processes, including maintaining records, supporting staff evaluations, and coordinating policy updates.

You will have proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, database and reporting systems), along with solid literacy and numeracy skills. - Build fantastic connections with patients, NHS staff, volunteers and our wider community to recruit new donors, fundraisers, volunteers and charity champions

- Support in growing the number of supporters playing the hospital lottery and those giving through our hospital ‘giving plaques

- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at events

- Manage and maintain the CRM system (donorfy) which includes entering all donor data including financial transactions and communications 

- Send updates to supporters to retain and increase life-time value and reactivate lapsed donors

- Send donation reports to the charity team

- Make suggestions on how to improve supporter care and implement these ideas

- To recruit and manage office based volunteers

New Horizon Youth Centre (NHYC) runs London's only youth-specific emergency accommodation project in partnership with Depaul UK. The London Youth Hub, based in Islington, provides emergency accommodation and support to help young people facing rough sleeping to transition into safe, long-term housing and achieve independence. As an Assessment and Resettlement Worker for the Youth Hub you will be joining our new Rough Sleeping Team and be responsible for delivering high-quality move on and advice services to young people staying at the Hub. This includes conducting needs assessments, providing guidance on housing, welfare benefits, tenancy rights, and employment, and connecting young people to relevant resources and support services. The role involves managing a case list of clients with diverse and often complex needs and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to ensure successful client move on options within the 56 days emergency stay.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join our team and build on this recent success. However, we realise that there are still many barriers facing working carers, so we are already campaigning for a further change in the law for this to become a week of paid leave.

Our best practice employer forum, Employers for Carers (EfC), works as a department of Carers UK and helps businesses create carer-friendly workplaces. With the change in employment law, now is an exciting time for our forum to grow in size and influence, ultimately helping millions more carers.

We are seeking a new business Account Executive to help grow the membership of Employers for Carers at this exciting time. While this role sits within the Income Generation and Communication directorate, it is not a fundraising role but focuses on selling our Employers for Carers product as earned income. As such, the successful candidate will meet with leading organisations to improve their workplace practices, engaging with HR and D&I teams.

About the role.

The Director of Development and Head of Foundation will execute and evolve a recently developed strategy for a significant ramp-up in the fundraising activity of Wells Cathedral School Foundation, initially focused on funding bursaries and small-scale estate developments. They will also ensure the effective work of the School’s supporting bodies and lead on building good relations with alumni and delivering a legacy programme.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Implement our strategy for fundraising consistent with best practice and the objectives of the Foundation.
• To promote and develop the Foundation as the central charity in the School’s fundraising operation.
• Undertake direct fundraising, either individually or in conjunction with the Head Master and Foundation Trustees.
• Find innovative ways of engaging alumni and other friends of the School in Foundation and fundraising activities, including liaising with the Chair of the Old Wellensian (OW) Association for the planning and overseeing the organisation of appropriate alumni events and communications plans.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and other members of the wider WCS community, both nationally and internationally. This includes OWs, Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust (WCCT), Friends of Music and Wells Cathedral Choir Association (WCCA).
• Oversee the maintenance and development of the Toucan Tech CRM and community website. Grow and maintain a database of all volunteers, donors and donor prospects that supports the engagement and fundraising strategy.
• Cultivate and continue to grow a portfolio of potential major donor prospects and deliver significant gifts from individuals, organisations and businesses.
• Strengthen existing donor networks and develop further networks.
• Recruit and organise fundraising volunteers of alumni, parents, former parents and other friends and supporters of the School.
• Ensure the Wells Cathedral School Foundation meets its budgets and targets as appropriate.
