Opportunity to join the Adult Carer Support team as a Telephone Carers Support Officer
A carer is someone who provides support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a someone who is ill, frail, disabled, or has mental health or substance misuse problems. All the care they give is unpaid.
Carers Support Centre (CSC) Bristol and South Gloucestershire provide a wide range of support services to carers for adult and young (children) carers.
We currently have a vacancy for a Telephone Carers Support Officer to work on our CarersLine service based at the CSC offices in the Vassall Centre, Fishponds. This post will deliver the CarersLine Information, Advice and Support service.
You will join a busy and supportive team that provide several services to support unpaid carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, which include advice and information, carers assessments, one to one support, CarersLine, and Carers Emergency Cards.
Hours of work: 26.5 hours (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 9am – 5pm. Friday 9.30 am – 1.30 pm.)

The role will include:
Responding to calls to the CarersLine service (telephone advice service) and to requests for information, advice, guidance and support.

- Weekly Youth Theatre Club, led by a local acting workshop facilitator.

About the team
The Philanthropy and Partnerships team at Impetus is a friendly, driven team that is passionate about building fantastic relationships with a variety of funders that lead to meaningful outcomes for the young people we serve. The Head of Engagement role sits within the wider Philanthropy and Partnerships team, working alongside colleagues driving forward philanthropic income generation and donor retention. About this role
We’re looking to recruit an experienced individual who will lead on the donor engagement for all Impetus donors. This person will bridge the gap between our funders and the work we do with organisations in our portfolio and other partners to transform the lives of young people.
They will be primarily responsible for leading and delivering engagement through volunteering activities, and through this securing ongoing support for Impetus’s work. The role is strategic, working in close collaboration with our Investment team to first identify suitable volunteering opportunities via our portfolio partners and then working in close collaboration to deliver opportunities which closely align with the aims of our funders. Our volunteering activities span online CV workshops through to in-person Insight Days, work experience and beyond. The volunteering programme is a vital component of our stewardship offer to our donors, who seek opportunities to meet and support the young people that Impetus serves through the organisation in its portfolio.
The postholder will also support the Head of Engagement (Pro Bono) to enable Impetus to source pro bono support from corporate partners. The role line manages a Philanthropy Officer who facilitates the day-to-day running of volunteering events with partners.
Key responsibilities
Volunteering
- Manage and deliver c.50 online and in person meaningful volunteering activities a year via Impetus portfolio partners.
- Through this delivery of c.50 activities, support the management of Impetus’s funding partnerships, including Corporates, Individuals and Grant Making Trusts, to ensure donors are engaged with Impetus’s work and continue to support.
- Lead meetings (online and in person) with funders to identify their volunteering needs and drive forward engagement opportunities.
- Liaise closely with the Impetus Investment team and organisations in our portfolio to build relationships and craft the planning and delivery of a high-quality programme of volunteering sessions.
- Deliver new strategic opportunities to advance our volunteering programme, including the set-up and initial delivery of a new mentoring programme.
- Identify other new donor engagement opportunities through relationships with our portfolio, expanding the range of opportunities available to donors in response to need and availability.
- Craft relevant communications and collateral for the volunteering programme, alongside Development Directors and the Communications team.
- Ensure all communications with external stakeholders are prompt, clear and compelling.
- Work closely with account managers to ensure effective stewardship over the course of donors’ annual giving cycles, strategically advising on when to hold and host volunteering opportunities.
- Lead on the data analysis of the volunteering programme, regularly feeding back to the Development Director and Investment team in written, verbal and presentation form.
- Ensure the systems and processes around volunteering are maintained and up to date, as well as ensuring the effective use of Salesforce to hold key data.
- Line manage the Philanthropy Officer and oversee their work plan and development.
- Be prepared to travel across London to deliver volunteering events at corporate partner premises.
- Come into the London office two times per week.
- Attend Philanthropy team events outside of work hours including our evening Summer Party; our Saturday Triathlon; and our evening Transforming Lives Dinner. These are in London and outside of London.
Pro Bono
- Support the Head of Engagement (pro bono) in delivering new pro bono partners, including supporting the research of new partners and attending meetings (where necessary) to build new Pro Bono relationships.
- Working alongside the Head of Engagement (pro bono) and the Investment team, to source external support for pro bono projects. You may also support in monitoring the delivery of these projects and reviewing the quality of execution.
- Support in the stewardship of existing pro bono partners including leading appropriate meetings or Lunch and Learn sessions.
- Record all pro bono contacts and projects within Salesforce database.
Other

Purpose of role
The International Board are seeking a senior International Fundraising Director with significant experience in major donor fundraising who will help drive the organisation’s fundraising strategy by strengthening and diversifying its fundraising sources. The Mission requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in international fundraising who will inspire our teams to differentiate and grow income as the organisation enters a new phase of strategic growth. The International Fundraising Director – with this focus on Major Donors - will provide leadership, oversight and guidance to the Mission’s national country fundraising directors - working with the International Director of Communication and Individual Fundraising and the wider fundraising team. They will work with major international donors and engage with field countries on targeted local fundraising and impact reporting.
As a strong communicator and strategic thinker with significant practical and direct fundraising experience, this Director will serve as a key member of the International Executive Team and report to the CEO and indirectly, the Mission Without Borders (MWB) International Board. They will have significant practical experience working with major donors, trusts and foundations, institutional and corporate fundraising.
Primary responsibilities
Donor development and outreach
· To provide strategic direction, leadership and drive for fundraising in all new development areas across the Mission. They will have direct responsibility for raising funds at the international level, leading cross organizational initiatives with a specific focus on major donors, trusts, and foundations - as this is currently an underdeveloped source of income for the Mission.
· Create coherent strategic plans for driving income growth, diversifying income sources and improving donor engagement, with a focus on major donors.
· Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures, particularly around major donors to ensure local and international consistency and compliance.
· Drive a relational fundraising culture by implementing systems and reporting to deliver effective supporter journeys with a focus on major donors.
· Lead in understanding of fundraising trends and working with wider fundraising team and national directors to improve agility in response to these trends.
· Understand and engage in program delivery needs and impact to ensure that donor and beneficiary journeys are linked and opportunities for major donor fundraising are deliverable.

· Have oversight of the annual and rolling five-year budgets for areas under responsibility to ensure local and international fundraising achieve overall strategic goals for income and related expenditure.
· Work closely with the CFO and CEO, Director of Individual Fundraising, and other senior executive personnel to drive annual planning and budgeting process.
· Drive consistency in restricted and unrestricted giving reporting.
Leadership and management
· Work with the International Executive team to drive Mission’s International Strategy.
· Collaborate and coach National Fundraising directors.
· Nurture team members in excellence in operational tasks as well as personal development, ensuring an engaged and fulfilled team.

Experience and Skills
· Relevant degree or equivalent in experience.

About the Role
Working with the support and guidance of your manager, you will be responsible for delivering our Reconnect, family support and mediation service across the London Region
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Depaul’s services and with external agencies to reduce family breakdown. You will build and maintain a caseload of clients at risk of, or experiencing homelessness. You will work with clients in a variety of situations, including young people at school who are experiencing a breakdown in their family relationships, those who have been forced to leave their homes and are temporarily staying with our volunteer Nightstop hosts, and those who are now living in our accommodation services.
You will provide a wide range of support and guidance to these clients and their families, aiming to improve understanding and communication, reduce conflict and strengthen relationships, amongst other things. This will include a range of methods, including one-to-one and joint party mediation. Occasionally you may also provide basic guidance to young people and parents regarding their housing options.
With full support, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and safe management of the service on a day-to-day basis, including working in line with all relevant policies, procedures and best practice guidelines, as well as maintaining arcuate and up-to-date records on our database.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work directly with young people aged 11-25, and their families, who are experiencing family difficulties and at risk of homelessness, providing guidance, personalised family support and one-to-one and joint party mediation if appropriate;
- Carry a caseload of 15 – 20 clients per FTE for whom you will be the named keyworker;
- Process referrals from relevant agencies in order to build and maintain a full caseload of clients.
- Work in partnership with young people and their families to complete risk assessments, needs assessments and changes plans and outcome questionnaires to work with them towards measurable outcomes.
- Build strong working relationships with all Depaul colleagues and services across the region, as well as other relevant agencies and local authority teams, to promote the service, build effective referral routes and processes and provide holistic support to young people.
- Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date records of all aspects of your work, in line with monitoring and evaluation processes and standard operational procedures.
- Work closely with statutory bodies and other agencies to support any relevant safeguarding procedures, advocating on behalf of young people and parents/carers when necessary.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience working with young people and families in crisis; reflective, creative and solution-focused in your approach and committed to working in an assets-based way.
- To hold or complete a Level 4 Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate (IMPC). Training will be provided if the candidate doesn’t hold the qualification, but training will have to be completed before the end of the probation period.
- Experience of working independently and managing own caseload; self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks and carry out efficient organisation and administration.
- Experience of carrying out risk and needs assessments and support planning for clients.
- Ability to develop strong, collaborative and productive relationships with colleagues and key external agencies, promoting the value of our work and its impact on families.
- High level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain impartiality
- Willingness and ability to travel independently and work from a number of different locations across the London region.

The Fundraising Officer - Events role sits in the Events team. This team is responsible for a portfolio of third party organised sports events - such as London Marathon, Tough Mudder, Cardiff Half and skydives - that will raise more than £4.5 million in the next financial year.
The Events team is a part of a wider Community, Events and Products Fundraising team. Our vision is to engage, grow and inspire a community of passionate fundraisers to power the fight for mental health. Because together, we can change lives.
You'll play a pivotal role in the Community, Events and Products Fundraising team's strategic objective to sustain and improve the portfolio to raise £12.9million by March 2026
This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a secondment.
Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
-Steward event participants; this could include undertaking welcome calls, sending supporter communications, providing ongoing fundraising support, following up non-payments, personalised thanking, and supporter surveys. This can be done across a range of channels including mail, email, and telephone, online and face to face.
-Attend events to help enhance our supporters experience and deepen their relationship with Mind.
-Work with the Senior Fundraising Officer to deliver events fundraising activity. This can include planning, writing and submitting briefs, generating marketing and stewardship communications, working with third party agencies, setting up web pages, delivering memorable on the day experiences for our supporters, reporting and analysing live activity and conducting evaluations.
-Analyse and interpret data, including marketing and stewardship performance, and adjust tactics to continuously improve and ensure results are met.
-Produce high quality analysis reports for activities, including recommendations to inform and improve future fundraising.
-Work with our media agency and internal Digital Teams to achieve Mind's digital-first strategy, attending training opportunities with internal teams and external agencies to upskill as needed, and thinking digital-first in the briefing of all new activity.
-Maintain high standards of data capture by ensuring data entered on systems are accurate and timely, in accordance with the team's requirements.
