The Finance Business Partner will report into the Senior Finance Business Partner and provide Directorate and departmental support in achieving financial and operational objectives. They will provide high-quality financial management and advice, and comprehensive reporting and analysis. The postholder will be responsible for completing budgets and quarterly forecasts, financial modelling, management reporting and analysis, as well as routine month-end activities.

The key duties of this Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Business partner with Directorate budget holders to develop an in-depth knowledge of their area.
• Work with colleagues across Directorates as a trusted partner delivering a high-quality financial service.
• Work with budget holders in the preparation of Directorate income and expenditure budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Review and consolidate budget and forecast information received from teams, conducting subsequent review and challenge of the results with budget holders.
• Complete commentary and bridge analysis, feeding into comprehensive management information packs.
• Complete month-end journals, FTE analysis, and monitor Directorate financial results against budget and forecast.
• Prepare comprehensive and timely period-end written commentary for management accounts.
• Ensure all year-end reporting requirements are completed.

The successful candidate will have:

• Achieved their full accountancy qualification.
• Have extensive experience of working within a management accounts or business partnering function, of a complex organisation.
• Ability to analyse numbers critically and extract and interpret pertinent information for management information purposes.
• Experience in production and monitoring of stakeholder budgeting and forecasting cycles and delivery of associated financial management reporting.
• Ability to understand a wide range of stakeholder needs and adapt approach where necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong influencing skills with experience in challenging financial results.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

YMCA Hastings provides supported accommodation for a total of 47 young people at risk of homelessness, aged 16 to 25, and care experienced young people under the age of 18. We provide support to our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. Our staff team comprises of Support Workers, Night Staff and Managers. Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Hastings Foyer team with the expectation on occasion to work across locality. Main areas of responsibilities:

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.

We are looking for a Direct Marketing Executive (Acquisition) to join an incredible medical charity and support the acquisition strategy which includes using data and insight to deliver across a variety of channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, telemarketing and SMS.

The role can either be UK homebased working, with once a month in the London office or Hybrid working with two days a week in the London office. Salary range is dependant on Location £27,250 - £32,000 (Remote) - £32,625 - £35,000 (London)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Project Assistant to support INQUEST’s National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Unlocking the INQUEST archive: memorialising death and resistance. This project encourages engagement with the INQUEST archive and memorialises state-related death and resistance through creative outputs including: 12-month consultation, artist’s residency, banner making, small scale events, archival research, film screenings and a podcast series.

Organised, motivated by logistics, system-orientated, able to react efficiently to pressure, change and multitasking, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communications skills necessary to liaising with a varied audience, including bereaved families and other key project stakeholders. They will be experienced in handling telephone calls, email correspondence, administration systems, and key IT software packages. Working closely with the project manager and project staff, they will support all components of our heritage project, including organising events and travel, liaising with key stakeholders, project social media and general administration. The candidate must be committed to the values of INQUEST and to anti-racism and anti-discrimination.

Our client is recruiting a new Trust Fundraising Officer and Prospectus is excited to lead the search. The organisation works tirelessly to provide support and special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds. This newly created role will work in a hybrid setup from home and the Hertfordshire office.

The Trust Fundraising Officer will manage their own portfolio of trust accounts and will support efforts to research and identify new prospects for the fundraising pipeline. You will be responsible for funding applications to trusts and foundations and will ensure the effective and timely stewardship of relationships is recorded on the database, building lasting relationships with funders at every opportunity.

The selected candidate will have ideally demonstrable experience of raising income from trusts and foundations and will have experience of working in a fundraising and/or charity environment. You will have superb writing skills and will enjoy working to develop compelling arguments and case for support.

Our Eastbourne Services provide supported accommodation for 50 young people at risk of homelessness across two sites. We provide support to our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. Our supportive staff team comprises of Support Workers, night staff and two managers. 

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our McKendrick House site in Eastbourne with the expectation of working from other services in Eastbourne and Hailsham when required.Main areas of responsibilities:

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance). 

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

General 

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

Experience and Knowledge

• Experience relating to housing, support work, and/or working with young people at risk

• Knowledge of good safeguarding procedures in relation to young people and the ability to maintain effective professional boundaries.
• Demonstrated confidence and competence in recording notes/actions in service log, incident forms and health and safety check lists.

Skills and Abilities 

• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary. 
• Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills.
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.
