Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental or physical health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.

We are recruiting an employment worker, with lived experience of mental health, to join our employment service in the London Borough of Enfield.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to help people progress towards their employment goals. You will receive training in pre-employment and signposting, and in supporting people with mental health issues.  Ideally you will have experience of peer support and have a relevant qualification but we can arrange training if needed.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to have good organisational and research skills as you will be arranging training, accessing volunteering and work experience opportunities according to client action plans.

The role involves hybrid working and is for 35 hours per week.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in progressing towards their employment goals. You will deliver pre-employment and employment support; providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local organisations to enable clients to access opportunities

You will work closely with clinical teams, the DWP and local agencies, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

Training and Education Lead

We are looking for two Training and Education Leads to work for an exciting organisation, one permanent and one parental cover (6 months).

Position: Training and Education Lead (two positions)

Location: London/Hybrid

Salary: £30,000 - £31,500 per annum (pro-rated for parental cover)

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Permanent and 6 months parental cover

About the role:

We have two events-based roles to support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. There will also be additional in-house training to be secured for the remainder of 2024 and the first part of 2025.

The role holders will work within our professional development team, headed up by the director of professional development. They will report directly to the director and work alongside other team members to deliver an effective apprenticeship programme.

Our working pattern is hybrid, with attendance in the office expected for three days per week, including every Wednesday. You may also be expected to attend events across the UK and overseas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the course working parties including the production of agendas and minutes
• Create booking pages via iMIS and make them live when approved.
• Manage bookings and respond to queries.
• Prepare and distribute course information, delegate packs, learning materials and handbooks as required.
• Organise and attend volunteer Working Party meetings as required.
• Negotiate contracts, attend site visits where needed and finalise contracts.
• Liaise with suppliers, delegates and speakers to ensure all final details are communicated.
• Process bookings via iMIS, including sending booking confirmations.
• Respond to queries from delegates and potential delegates such as queries on their course or programme and progress.
• Ensure that accurate and complete records of attendance and progress are maintained.
• Ensure delegates' and speaker needs are met before and after the course.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need experience managing events (face-to-face and hybrid) including liaising with speakers and managing the technology. You will be able to work with colleagues to identify and contact potential speakers. You will also be able to manage the budget for the course delivery. To be successful at the organisation, you will need to be able to work in a small team, be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and thrive in an ever-changing environment.

You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:

• A qualification or experience in event and/or learning management
• Experience in managing the delivery of courses and training programmes including course agendas, delegate and speaker support and course administration
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to multitask
• Excellent oral and written English
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills including record-keeping and attention to detail
• Basic financial awareness and understanding for example working to a budget and controlling costs
• Suitability to work with apprentices and vulnerable people including acceptable DBS record
• General IT skills including MS Office (e.g. Word mail merges and Excel reporting). An aptitude for learning new software/portals and experience with customer databases such as iMIS, webinar and eLearning platforms will be an advantage

Fundraising Manager (Maternity Cover)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Manager to lead our friendly fundraising team. Focusing on developing our Events, Community and Individual Giving income, whilst developing relationships with individuals across the UK, to raise funds and increase the profile of the charity.

About the job

Leading the Meningitis Now Fundraising team, you will oversee delivering an annual programme of fundraising and income generating activities, including an exciting national events programme, community development programme, and individual giving programme. Supporting the team in reaching the income targets for the charity as well as delivering a strategy to grow sustainable income.

The role will have a focus on Community, Events and Individual Giving fundraising. Involving the delivery of our national events programme, supporter organised activities and our Individual Giving Programme including direct marketing, and in memory fundraising.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the fundraising team to deliver the expected income for the charity. The post holder will be expected to draw on their experience of developing relationships with a wide range of people to ensure that Meningitis Now is the beneficiary of choice across all fundraising activities.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Deliver an annual Fundraising operational plan and meet financial target
• Deliver and develop a Fundraising strategy with the aim of growing income and the number of active supporters over time
• Manage the fundraising team as a whole, including Senior Fundraising Officers and Fundraising Officers with direct Line management to the Senior Fundraising Officers
• Ensuring the team are well supported, motivated and have clear objectives and opportunities for personal development
• Manage the team to ensure that the resources are directed to areas that will achieve the greatest return on investment
• Develop Meningitis Now’s fundraising messaging, including a consistent and compelling case for support
• Create and implement successful marketing plans using a range of communication channels to drive fundraising enquiry numbers, conversions and ultimately income

Position Objective:

About the Role

As a Care Leavers Employment Project Coordinator for Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN), you will support and manage the development of this project and will co-ordinate, develop and grow this new service.

You will play a crucial role in supporting care leavers aged 21+ on their journey to meaningful employment and independent living by providing employment guidance, resources, and support services with the aim of sustainable employment at our charity with ongoing person-centred support.

You will work closely with care leavers, local authorities, ICB contacts, HMN HR team, HMN senior management team, and other stakeholders to facilitate access to HMN volunteering, shadowing & employment opportunities, training programmes, and career development initiatives. The goal is to empower care leavers to achieve sustainable employment, good mental health and build successful careers at HMN, with the view to develop the service to include partner organisations and other stakeholders where successful careers may be established for care leavers.

The project ethos will be based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, with an awareness that individual differences must not be overlooked, that these needs can be pursued simultaneously, that the theory may not be universally applicable across cultures, and the influence of social, environmental, and structural factors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programmes and initiatives to support care leavers in their journey to meaningful employment, including job readiness training, CV building, interview preparation, training opportunities and access to an HMN mentor/buddy.
• Join the Care Leaver Covenant and sign up to the Care Leaver Friendly Employer Charter, harnessing the opportunities available to support the project, including the Inclusive Employment Toolkit.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, ICB colleagues, educational institutions, and community organisations to create opportunities and secure support for care leavers.
• Provide one-on-one support to care leavers, including conducting assessments of their skills, interests, and career goals, and developing individualised employment plans and opportunities to enhance their employability and career prospects.
• Advocate on behalf of care leavers to address any barriers to employment, such as lack of education, training, or work experience, discrimination, mental health challenges, or housing instability.
• Organise and/or facilitate workshops, training, and networking events to enhance the employability skills of care leavers and connect them with potential employment opportunities and mentors.
• Monitor and track the progress of care leavers in securing and maintaining employment and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and reports on the employment outcomes of care leavers, and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of support services and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and best practices related to care leavers, employment, and youth services, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s community fundraising and trade revenues (target of £266,000 in 2024) and building significant engagement with community supporters and fundraisers. You will manage a committed team of two people in the Community and Trade team.

You will be responsible for raising awareness of our community fundraising programme and developing a ‘best-in-class’ stewardship programme that builds new and develops existing relationships with supporters, volunteer groups, organisations and partners to maximise income and raise the charity’s profile. Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a stewardship programme that converts interest into support and maximises fundraised income whilst developing lasting relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Neighbourhood Services Officer who understands effective management of neighbourhood services and contractors to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of Neighbourhood and Estates. • Conduct routine inspections of neighbourhoods to assess cleanliness and maintenance standards, identifying areas in need of attention.

• Take ownership and responsibility for any service-related complaints/queries from customers ensuring that the customers experience is positive, professional and within set timescales at all times.

About the organisation

2024 marks a hugely important milestone for the Latymer Foundation - its their 400th anniversary!

The Latymer Foundation at Hammersmith was established in 1624 by Edward Latymer, a lawyer and local landowner, with the aim of offering financial support to eight children living in the area, providing them with clothes and giving them an education. An education which would not otherwise have been possible for them to access.

Today, the Foundation runs Latymer Upper and Prep School and one of its main aims is to provide bursaries (financial support for school fees) to as many local children as possible, ensuring that any promising and talented child can access a first-class Latymer education, regardless of their family's financial situation.

As of September 2023, the Foundation is supporting bursaries for 1 in every 5 students at Latymer Upper School, and is aiming to increase this to 1 in 4 students by 2024.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Fundraising Manager is a key member of a sector leading development team. Latymer's bursary programme is one of the most successful in any UK independent school. Since 2002, the number of pupils receiving means tested support has grown from just 7 to more than 280 as of September 2023, the majority of whom receive between 75-100% fee remission.

This growth has only been possible thanks to philanthropy through the Latymer community: parents, alumni, Governors, staff, and students.

The Fundraising Manager is at the heart of the community fundraising, focussing on the full cycle of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship

Responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver the strategy and tactics to increase giving and participation in support of our annual bursaries appeals (including Upper School and Prep) using a range of channels and touchpoints (e.g. DM, digital, phone campaign, events, face to face)
* Design the stewardship matrix and tactics to thank our supporters and develop compelling content that surprises and delights our donors, including events and the delivery of our annual campaign impact report, Campaign Review
* Provide a supporter experience that increases conversion and retention and builds long-term commitment to the Foundation, especially important this year as we celebrate Inspiring Minds and start to focus on future campaigns
* Develop case studies to illustrate the impact of donations across communications and devise ways to increase opportunities to see these stories
* Utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate appeal/activity performance and inform future tactics
* Manage the process of researching potential donors and other potential supporters of the Foundation
* Manage portfolio of leadership giving donors to make individual approaches to mid-level donors in support of the Bursaries Appeal
* Work closely with the Bursaries Appeal volunteers to raise awareness of the bursaries
* programme and increase giving particularly amongst current parents
