You’ll ensure an inspiring, engaging and personalised service for supporters and members of the public who contact our Supporter Care team by email, social media, telephone and post. Your role will be to answer questions and respond to comments about a wide range of topics, from our campaigns and general environmental concerns to routine administrative and donation enquiries.

A key responsibility will be to ensure the resolution of complaints regarding a variety of issues, including our campaigns, fundraising and allyship work – smoothly handling potentially challenging conversations about emotive subjects and putting forward Greenpeace’s point of view while remaining respectful and professional at all times.

Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. What would we like…?

We're looking for someone with a good understanding of customer service delivery and best practice to join our Admissions team as Admissions Officer (internally known as Admissions Associate).

You'll be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and support to applicants interested in completing one of our programmes. You'll help applicants to complete their application and onboarding which is achieved through: calls and emails to current applicants, responding to queries via phone and email, supporting on communication strategies and implementation, ensuring data integrity and running processes to drive forward the applicant pipeline.
 

We would like you to:

• Deliver excellent customer service by replying to email queries and helpline calls in a clear, friendly and timely manner 
• Finding solutions for applicant problems and sharing best practice.
• Support pipeline management and proactively work to convert the applicants through strong communication. This will entail administering and monitoring sales call and email campaigns and handling inbound and strategic outbound sales calls
• Monitor and analyse reports from our database/CRM: Salesforce to better understand applicant issues and pipeline trends.
   

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to an Admissions Senior Associate.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.

Purpose of the role

Key Activities

Vision for the role

Migrant Democracy Project (MDP) envisions a society where all migrants at home in the UK hold collective, political power to shape a society rooted in justice, freedom, and solidarity. 

We are looking for a full-time Community Organiser to organise first-generation migrants in the UK towards migrant justice through electoral and community organising. The organiser’s work will connect across 3 streams: voter registration; advocacy & campaigns; and political empowerment. 

Whether it’s engaging migrants at a voter registration stall, supporting migrant communities to organise in the electoral space, or strengthening a local campaign - the lived experience of first generation migrants is at the heart of all our activities.

We are looking for an experienced organiser who is passionate about migrants’ rights and democratic reform to start working as soon as possible.

Who funds the role?

The role is funded by a grant from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.

Contract

This is a fixed term contract, 2 years (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants), £32,000 pro rata, with an immediate start, including NI and 3% employer pension contribution.

We are looking for an organiser who can work full-time hours flexibly, including evening and weekend time where events require. When work is carried out by any Migrant Democracy Project employee outside normal working hours, time off in lieu is applied.

Location

Migrant Democracy Project does not have a physical office. The Organiser will work flexibly from home on administrative tasks and be expected to work in-person when necessary to deliver voter registration, training, informative, advocacy and campaign activities, as well as representing MDP at relevant events.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement an organising strategy for MDP in collaboration with members of our community.

• Identify and lead on outreach activities and events with first-generation migrant communities where there is scope for building power in their local areas.

• Identify, train, and support community leaders to participate and shape MDP’s Our Home Our Vote campaign for the extension of the right to vote.

• Support the delivery of our MPower - Community Organising Programme training and empowering migrant communities to best achieve their campaign aims by engaging in UK democracy and politics.

• Support the electoral prospects of MDP leaders and the organising scope in their communities.

• Manage a stakeholder network including local and national migrants’ rights groups and keeping a contact database.

• Lead on the co-production and dissemination of physical and digital materials on democratic rights and participation, such as production of leaflets and infographics in different languages and with different purposes. 

• Collect and produce content for social media following activities delivered with the community. 

• Keep track of engagement and contribute reports for our projects’ evaluation.

Qualifications

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. Community is at the heart of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, and our community fundraising team play a vital role in building relationships and raising funds across our community and catchment. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.

STEP for people seeking asylum is an exciting new specialised programme, working with people in the asylum system by providing high quality advice and guidance and delivering group pre-employability workshops. The post holder will play a pivotal role from the start of this programme in its first year of delivery.

You will prepare participants for employment (where appropriate) and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of participants such as successful delivery of workshops, completion of training courses, volunteering, and achieving and sustaining paid employment.

The STEP Employment Advisor will work remotely, and can be based anywhere in the UK, however you will need to be able to travel regularly for community outreach, engagement and workshop delivery.

Main duties and responsibilities

 Casework management -

• Oversee the casework service delivery by managing a potential high number of referrals colleagues in the regions and professionals effectively, by deciding eligibility for services, and providing timely, helpful, and legally accurate responses at all times.
• Line manages all casework advisers by supporting and enabling them to provide high quality information and advice support, and signposting to external specialist agencies in a sensitive, confidential, and professional manner.

Service development and delivery -

• Maintain high quality, current client records in accordance with organisational policies, funder requirements, and relevant legislation, and support advisers and volunteers to manage their data within the client database.
• Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with a range of practitioners including local authority social workers, managers, legal representatives, health and education professionals and voluntary sector agencies, referring children who are age disputed to other agencies where it is in the best interests of the child.

Grandmentors

Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering project where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young people leaving the care system. These young people often need a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education or begin training – ultimately giving them the skills and self-belief to lead successful and independent lives.

Role Purpose

To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within London Borough Councils and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
