About the Role:
The Information & Advice Generalist Adviser provides rights-based advice to clients, helping them understand and access services, entitlements, and benefits. Working closely with our team of volunteer advisers, you’ll be a valued source of expertise, conducting benefits checks, assisting with claims, and providing guidance on a range of issues that affect older adults. You’ll also take part in outreach activities, collaborating with partner agencies and representing Age UK Bromley & Greenwich in community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, accessible advice on welfare benefits, care provision, housing options, legal issues (such as Lasting Power of Attorney), and more.
- Conduct benefits assessments, support claims processes, and advocate for clients in appeals.
- Perform rights-based casework, including helping clients with complaints and making representations as needed.
- Maintain detailed, up-to-date client records in our case management system.
- Collaborate with volunteer advisers, providing training, support, and guidance to ensure consistent service quality.
- Conduct outreach and participate in community events across Bromley and Greenwich to expand our reach.
- Work closely with colleagues and external partners to facilitate client referrals and deliver joined-up support.
- Stay informed of relevant laws, policies, and local services to offer the most current and effective advice.

About the role
Sightsavers are currently seeking an experience Finance and Support Services Manager (FSSM) to join the Country Officer Senior Management Team to oversee and supervise the development, co-ordination and management of Sightsavers finance and support services in our Guinea office.
The FSSM will be responsible for a number of specified areas of the overall finance and support services function, through close collaboration with colleagues, partners and others, and will identify areas for growth and improvement.
The FSSM duties include:
- Ensuring financial control and managing risk.
- Ensure the conformity to the organisational Financial Framework.
- Financial Management & Controls.

Avon Wildlife Trust is recruiting 2x Trainees to join the Pollinator Recovery Team. These 9-month placements require no previous experience or degree level education, and offer the skills and experience necessary to kickstart a career in the environmental sector.
Insects pollinate £690 million worth of crops in the UK annually, with wild pollinators carrying out 85-95% of this. Many species of bee, moth, butterfly, hoverfly, fly and beetle provide this essential, often overlooked, service. Despite this, the steep decline of pollinating insects, and the loss of the habitats that support them, are well documented.
The AWT and partner organisations in the West of England aim to halt and reverse these losses, with an ambition to become the UK’s Bee & Pollinator Capital. As a Pollinator Pathways trainee, you will help to support delivery of this ambition.
The Pollinator Pathways project focuses on the area within the ‘B-Line’ (Biodiversity line), between AWT’s reserves of Folly Farm and Browne’s Folly, with ambitions to scale up and expand this work around the Avon area.
The trainee will support the teams work with farmers, landowners and communities to grow the network of habitats between these reserves. To ensure climate resilience you will work hands on, with expert support from project staff, on a variety of priority habitats including grasslands, hedgerows, in-field trees and woodland edges, all of which are important pollinator habitats.
There is also a generous training budget which will allow successful applicants to learn new skills such as GIS (Geographic Information System), First aid, Species ID, UK habitat classification, Biodiversity Net Gain training, Brushcutter/hand tool training etc. Trainees will under-take one ‘study’ day per week where they can research/train in relevant areas of interest.
As a Pollinator Pathways trainee you will:
· Support the project team in delivering the Pollinator Pathways Project
· Carryout 1 day per week of dedicated study. Details to be agreed with the Pollinator Recovery Manager
· Gain the skills, licences and experience needed to start a career in the environmental sector
· Learn how to deliver nature recovery projects (admin and ground works)

The role of the SALT Project Lead is to implement and develop the charity's strategy of involving people with lived experience of the criminal justice in the design and delivery of its services. This will include setting up a network, in which 'graduates' of mentoring support can continue to receive light touch support and be introduced to opportunities that will enable them to become more socially included, and to feel a real sense of belonging in their community. Another facet of the post will be facilitating and overseeing the 'Lived Experience Advisory Forum (LEAF)'. We challenge conventional development programmes by taking a business-based approach that ensures long term sustainability and impact for the communities we work with. To support our mission we are recruiting a Communications and Fundraising Officer to help deliver on our ambitious growth plans to reach 2 million people by 2030. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can plan and create compelling communications to increase awareness of our work and engage new and existing supporters. Furthermore, you will lead on key areas of our fundraising strategy including annual fundraising campaigns, individual giving and small trusts and foundations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will lead on defined elements of Pump Aid’s fundraising strategy: scoping, applications, reporting and management (to largely small to medium sized trusts and foundations, community funders and individuals.)
- You will develop and manage a schedule of compelling communications across a number of channels including social media, web and print that will grow engagement with Beyond Water’s mission.
- You will support the Head of Development to pitch to social impact and philanthropic investors by finding creative ways to differentiate ourselves from traditional approaches to international development.
- You will take responsibility for managing and administrating fundraising income, using Salesforce CRM to keep up to date records of donations, keeping donors updated through regular reports and leveraging annual campaigns including the Big Give Christmas Campaign to maximise individual giving donations.
- Maximise the value and duration of donor support through excellent stewardship and relationship management.
- While office hours are notionally 9:00am to 5:30pm, the demands of a business focussed on Africa, with donors in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia mean a degree of flexibility is required.

Our Activity Service
The Activity Service is an important part of our organisation, delivering high quality activities to the older people of Merton. Our Activity team create and deliver a wide range of activities including a daily lunch club, crafting, poetry, singing and exercises at our centre in Mitcham and other locations across the borough of Merton.
The Activity service is busy and vibrant where no two days are the same, the service has over 10,000 attendees a year, taking part in over 700 activities and exercise classes. The service enables our community to live more healthily, happily and independently in later life.
About the Role
We are recruiting an Activity Coordinator to support the Activity Service Manager in the delivery and development of the Activity service.
The Activities Coordinator will be a hands-on role, working with the team who deliver a wide range of activities both existing and new at our centre and across the borough of Merton.
The role will deputise for the Activities Service manager and has line manager responsibilities overseeing both the team and the delivery of activities. This role will work closely with the volunteers who support the service, building on the current volunteer programme to develop the volunteer role and experience.
The role will play a key part in organising the delivery of existing activities, ensuring they are delivered to an exceptional standard with the service users at the heart of the service.

· Respond to feedback and suggestions from clients to develop activities.
· Keep records up to date on the CRM for attendees of all activities.

About the opportunity
Critical to our mission, we are looking to recruit a London Programme Manager to be responsible for a geographical area and the schools within it, whilst supporting geographical expansion. You will oversee your region’s Action Tutoring programmes, liaising with our partner schools and developing new school partnerships, whilst supporting your team of Programme Coordinators to engage pupils and support them to build relationships with stakeholders and retain a strong pool of tutors.
As a Programme Manager, you will line manage up to seven Programme Coordinators to ensure they effectively manage their caseload of schools, whilst driving the quality of programmes and ensuring that the delivery of programmes meets organisational KPIs. This role will take a lead on new school recruitment, regularly pitching to Senior Leaders within schools and managing school partnerships within your region to ensure Action Tutoring’s growth targets are met. Additionally, you will contribute to the wider leadership of the Action Tutoring programme team, lead on programme-specific projects to support the programme department’s priorities and will be expected to support the wider learning and development needs of the Programme Coordinator team.
The position would suit someone who enjoys working with people who have a frontline role, gets energy from pitching to schools and wants to increase their management experience in an exciting and rapidly developing charity. The successful candidate should be able to manage their own workload to a high standard as well as support others, have excellent attention to detail, be adaptable, relational and used to problem-solving, and be able to work well with a range of
stakeholders and be confident in carrying out administrative tasks to support programme delivery.

Shannon Trust provides peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes in a number of prisons across the country. We now have the opportunity to work with Serco ESW to provide a service at HMP Ashfield. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Ashfield, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn whilst also providing daily assistance in the running of the library.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison-based. GADN brings together expert NGOs, consultants, academics and individuals committed to working on gender equality, development and women’s rights issues.
The Policy and Advocacy Officer role is part of a small team at the GADN Secretariat, consisting of the Director, Head of Policy, and Network Coordinator. The post holder will work with the Head of Policy and Director to implement the Feminist Reframing of Macro-level Economics (REFRAME) programme and support with GADN’s core advocacy towards the UK government.

You will be joining a People team as a team leader, responsible for the line management of our passionate HR Assistant who will work with you on monthly payroll and pensions, employee onboarding, training, and people data.

About you

The Role

About You
To be considered as one of our Event Development Project Managers, you will need:
- Excellent experience working as a project manager within outdoor events or public parks
- Good knowledge and experience in tendering for event providers and contract administration within the events industry
- Excellent communication, presentation, proofreading and report-writing skills

- The ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships
- The ability to analyse information, make informed judgements, appraise performance, and manage risks
