We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Deputy Manager, with experience of working with adults with a learning disability/autism and complex needs to join Outward.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills to support the Team manager in coaching and mentoring the staff team, and also embedding high standards in the running of the service. The successful candidate will be working alongside frontline staff to support the skills building needed to increase the independence of people with autism and/or learning disabilities and behaviours of concern. Responding to the Transforming Care agenda this service is providing a real opportunity for people to thrive and enjoy a good quality of life, as active and valued members of their community.
Outward’s autism and PBS specialist services have a strong reputation across London, where we support people to live full and active lives, with support designed around the person’s personal ambitions and choices. PBS training will be provided to develop the successful candidate into a PBS coach, and you will be working closely with our Positive Behaviour Lead to create a culture that promotes Positive Behaviour and Active Support values and practice. The role involves teaching people new skills and ways of communicating which reduces behaviours of concern.

About You
- Experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern is essential. (E)
- A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 3 months of employment is essential. (E)

About the role:
When a person or their family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.
Back Up’s mentoring service is there to help. We know that peer support can have a life changing impact and our Mentoring Team are the ones who can facilitate this through matching them with a suitable mentor who will be able to support them over a series of phone calls to reach their goals. The Mentoring Team Leader leads the team through providing excellent line management and driving the delivery of the team’s business plans to empower the team to ultimately support more people affected by spinal cord injury
In addition to leading the team, a Mentoring Team Lead will assist in creating mentoring relationships and support mentors and mentees as appropriate, assess mentee suitability and provide support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new mentors.
A Mentoring Team Lead will be motivated to achieve the aims, targets and milestones that have been set in terms of making quality matches and will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Business Partner to join our team, focused on providing strategic financial support to the Charities team. The Charities team supports Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust via our three Charity brands - Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity, and Guy’s Cancer Charity – by providing funding generated through a mix of public fundraising, philanthropic support and contributions from our endowment. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in aligning financial objectives with organisational goals, supporting both fundraising and funding activities, and ensuring financial integrity across all operations. Your main responsibility will be to serve as a liaison between Finance and the Charities team, advocating for both parties to maximise value generation and coordination
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting, Planning and Reporting:

ABOUT THE ROLE
Smart Works Bristol exists to empower all women who need heflp getting into work. We aim to support 1000 clients with our Interview and Preparation service per year. As such, we require vital funding from Grants, Trusts & Foundations to enable us to achieve our mission, and continued support to deliver our calendar of Corporate Events.
As our charity grows, we are seeking a Fundraising Manager to join our small and ambitious staff team. The successful post holder will be researching and building a strong pipeline of grant funders and five and six-figure gifts from Trusts & Foundations, including core funding and restricted funding.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our Board of Trustees to maximise local funding opportunities, expand our portfolio of grant funders, and contribute to a growth in income for the charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying prospective funders, writing and submitting high-quality applications and proposals, and delivering excellent grant management and stewardship updates. They will also work closely with the Trustees to deliver an exciting calendar of corporate and community fundraising fashion events, and lead our corporate sports challenge.
We are seeking a proactive self-starter, with experience in philanthropic fundraising, excellent written communication skills and demonstrable attention to detail. We would also love to hear if you have experience working with grant applications and/or funding proposals, and utilising a range of tools to identify new funding opportunities.

About James’ Place
James’ Place Charity was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts, but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. James’ Place offers men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.
The first James’ Place opened in June 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, and has to date supported more than 2,300 men experiencing suicidal crisis through our innovative and safe therapeutic intervention. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centre and in our landscaped garden, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families.

Jobholder Requirements
Essential:
- A tertiary qualification (bachelor’s or above) in social sciences, public health, development studies, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing programmes, particularly health programmes and/or neglected tropical disease programmes with a focus on elimination.
- Experience in managing and guiding project teams to successful project implementation.
- Knowledge of the WHO LF approach to elimination.
- Experience working with Provincial and District Local Governments health departments.
- Demonstrated experience with statistical and data analysis packages (SPSS, STATA, Excel, Power BI).
- Prior experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge and experience of working with district local governments and district health systems.
- Knowledge and experience of the NGO sector.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise activities and develop plans.
- Proven ability to deliver and implement projects, ensuring high-quality work to agreed standards.
- Excellent team working skills, understanding the impact of their work on others and contributing positively to a global team.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in community mobilisation.
- Experience in advocacy work in health and general development.
- Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Portuguese, Arabic, Swahili, or Yoruba.
- A good understanding or keen interest in local cultures and country-specific challenges.

West London Centre for Counselling is a well-established and successful charity which currently provides free counselling to the local community through NHS Talking Therapies in Hammersmith and Fulham. We are now looking for an efficient Administrator to play a key role in supporting the Centre and its staff. The position involves updating the secure database with appointments and clinical information, handling enquiries by email and telephone, providing receptionist duties, and contributing to the overall smooth running of the Centre.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and exceptionally clear verbal and written communication skills.
This role could be EITHER a full time, 5-day-per-week position (35h pw), with at least one evening shift per week (until 9pm); OR it could be a 4-day-per-week position (28h pw), again with at least one evening shift per week (until 9pm).
The salary for this role is £28,000 for full time, or pro-rata for part time.
