The Role
As a Practice Consultant, you will proactively support your Head and line manager, demonstrating leadership and a strong, supportive role in your team’s contribution to delivering the provision of high-quality support in strategic and operational environments. You will be skilled and confident about building high-trust relationships, contributing to securing a strong network across the UK and quality within our accreditation services.
You will take responsibility for motivating yourself and will build a wide skill set both personally and within the team, sharing expertise and encouraging everyone to work at their best together. Practice Consultants act as a critical friend to local areas and services, supporting, advising and guiding them through a combination of free and paid-for expert support. You will build relationships with national partners and local areas to develop coordinated, dynamic responses to domestic abuse and related safeguarding issues, seeing the whole picture for each family member to keep people safe sooner.
In order to complement our existing expertise in the Practice team, we would be particularly interested to hear from applicants with backgrounds in domestic abuse, criminal justice, health and social work.
This is a fixed-term role until June 2025 with the possibility of extension, and we will consider full-time and part-time hours.

Working effectively with volunteers is an important part of our Project Support Officer roles. You will support the Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, volunteer administration and volunteer retention, and giving our volunteers a fantastic experience. You will also be involved in guest outreach, and giving extra support to our Wales projects as and when required, to aid development and growth within the region.
Each of our Projects is run by volunteer Project Leaders and supported by Regional Managers through recruitment and training of volunteers. You will support the Regional Managers so that they can manage more projects. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new volunteer Project Leaders for the Area.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects.You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, which would include some evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role. You’ll need to live within easy reach of our Wales projects in Cardiff, Newport and Swansea.

Purpose of the role

Key Activities

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) is a long-term (chronic), fluctuating, neurological disease that causes symptoms affecting many body systems, more commonly the nervous and immune systems. M.E. affects an estimated 250,000 people in the UK, and around 17 million people worldwide.
Action for M.E. is the only charity in the UK providing direct support to children and adults with M.E. We provide vital support services, campaign for change and invest in ground-breaking research to help put an end to the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by people with M.E.
We are looking for an empathic and resilient individual to join a friendly and well-established team of part-time, remote-based Information and Support Officers, on a 12-month contract. The purpose of this role is to provide a holistic, client-centred, effective and efficient Information and Support Service to people affected by M.E. We do this primarily via outgoing calls made in response to triaged voicemail messages, and also via email.
You can choose to be home-based anywhere in the UK, work from our Bristol office, or a hybrid of the two.
Our Information and Support Service team has a deep understanding of the issues affecting people with M.E. and their family and carers. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including some overnight stays.

About The Hygiene Bank
Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing-up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. Earlier this year, The Hygiene Bank published a research report into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2m adults in the UK are affected by hygiene poverty, that is an additional 1.1m people into hygiene poverty since 2022 - the equivalent of the population of Birmingham.
With hygiene poverty on the rise, it is also undermining the nation’s health: 50% of those affected by hygiene poverty say that it is causing them anxiety or depression. 92% of people affected report that it limits their social interactions with friends and family. 54% of those affected have not gone to the dentist in the last 12 months. But most importantly, it’s putting people in impossible situations. A staggering 69% of adults experiencing hygiene poverty are having to make the difficult decision between paying for essential needs like food and bills or purchasing basic toiletries. 65% of parents affected by hygiene poverty have had to choose between buying hygiene products for themselves or their children.

About the role
This role will be part of a multi-disciplinary Communications Team working together to raise awareness of the work of The Hygiene Bank. The successful candidate will develop and deliver effective marketing and communications content, with a special focus on digital channels, to promote The Hygiene Bank’s work, partnerships, and year-round fundraising activity – including National Hygiene Week and brand collaborations – and demonstrate the positive impact donations have had on communities across the UK. The postholder will work together with the Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and the Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement to implement the Communications Strategy using a range of marketing and communications activities to actively engage a variety of audiences to raise awareness of hygiene poverty in the UK.

Responsibilities
Key Activities:
- Support the delivery of the internal communications and engagement strategy
- Coordinate the day-to-day requirements of the organisation's SharePoint:-
- Content – publish content that aligns with publishing standards
- Governance – manage the approval, review, and retention process to ensure information is user-centred, clear, and up to date
- Web design – support standards of UI/UX, accessibility and search optimisation

Are you an experienced digital and email marketer, who is passionate about creating campaigns and communications that inspire supporters to take action, and want to join a team at a very exciting time? Re-engage has just launched a new five-year strategy which has growth at its heart. We’re looking for an exceptional person to join our team, for maternity cover, as a support and development officer (SDO) and to be a vital part of this exciting phase of our development.
Reporting to the support team manager and sitting within the service delivery team you will be working closely with other SDOs and engagement officers (EOs) with a focus on matching older people and volunteers in to Re-engage services and providing ongoing support.
