Summary

This is an exciting time for the Philanthropy and Partnerships team as we develop a rich and evolving portfolio of strategic projects that will appeal to a wide range of funders. As the Trusts and Statutory Officer, you'll play a crucial role in driving fundraising for our new strategic focus on key priorities identified by people living with diabetes. You'll be responsible for bringing in income of circa £200,000 for the Trusts and Statutory team from a high-volume portfolio, with a view to increasing its value year on year.

Main Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the small trusts portfolio to maximise income generation (circa 200k), submitting bids under £20k and stewarding funders. You'll work closely with the Partnership Manager and the Prospect Research and Data Officer to identify funders and submit compelling proposals that accurately reflect both funder criteria and organisational funding priorities.

You'll work with colleagues across the charity to ensure grant conditions are met and deliver excellent stewardship practices.

You'll be a highly organised individual, with experience of managing and delivering a high-volume trust portfolio.

You'll have excellent communication skills and will be able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively. Your naturally collaborative approach to team working is balanced by accountability and a proactive, independent attitude.

We are looking for someone to join our team supporting Unpaid Carers in Lewisham in a part-time admin role based at our Carers Hub at Glass Mill Leisure Centre. Our activities programme offers Unpaid Carers the opportunity to have a break from their caring responsibilities in a social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.

You’ll work closely with the service manager to plan and arrange a wide programme of activities for young and adult Unpaid Carers. This will involve liaising with providers, ensuring health and safety, insurance and other checks are in place, arranging resources and refreshments, completing risk assessments and booking venues.

You will promote activities to Unpaid Carers, manage bookings and respond to queries. As the role is based in our Carers Hub, you will interact with Unpaid Carers visiting the team or enquiring about the service. You will also provide additional admin support to the team as needed.

Applicants should have experience in an admin role and excellent customer service skills. You will require exceptional communication, organisational and written skills, and should be a proactive and creative thinker. You must be proficient in using Word and Excel, with experience of using databases.

The part-time hours (22.5) can be worked as 3 full days or shorter days across the week. Some flexibility is required for occasional evenings or Saturday working.

• Manage and deliver the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) recommendation process.

How you will make a difference:

Amna is seeking a Social Media and Design Consultant on a monthly retainer contract to support our digital content strategy and enhance our online presence. Both individuals and agencies with the relevant skills and experience are welcome to apply. Work Location and Environment:

The Philanthropy Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy & Partner Engagement Department within War Child’s award-winning Fundraising team. Working closely with the Philanthropy Lead (line manager) and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will manage a portfolio of major donors at 5- and 6-figure level to support a team target of c£1.4M.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving
• Lead and be supported on building an excellent stewardship programme, supporting relationship managers across the team to deliver sector leading supporter journeys
• Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations
• Take an active role where relevant, on the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of philanthropy events, including events that are hosted by Ambassadors

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
• Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
• Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors
• A relationship focussed approach with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally

Khulisa’s new strategy is focused on evolving our delivery approach for lasting impact. This involved making significant changes to our programme delivery and operating model. This shift towards prioritising long-term outcomes and an evolved delivery approach requires an expert Data and Insight Coordinator who can play a central role in data management and analysis, systems development, MEAL (Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning), and storytelling.

Whilst this role requires proven experience of quantitative skills, we are open to candidates with limited or no experience in qualitative research. This is a varied role and there will be opportunities for fieldwork e.g. conducting interviews, facilitating and moderating focus groups, etc. We can provide training and support to help you develop the necessary qualitative skills.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about data and eager to contribute to our ongoing efforts to improve our data-driven approach. Join our ambitious and talented team as a Learning Support Assistant in North London. Come and support our students aged 16 - 25 with learning differences, with their learning, work experience, personal growth and independence.  

We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability skills. You will support our students to participate fully at the Harington Scheme’s training centres in Highgate and Hornsey or on work experience. There will also be opportunities to support with enrichment, mentoring and group activities.  We promote high standards of welfare, self-care and independent living skills for the individuals we support.  
 

About you  
  
We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with patience and understanding to work with students to give them maximum choice and independence. You must have previous experience working with learners with learning disabilities, ideally within a classroom setting. 

You should have literacy and numeracy skills with at least grade 4 in GCSE Maths & English. You will have a good level of digital skills and be able to use a range of IT software including Microsoft Office. You may also be a keen gardener, have experience in retail or experience of supporting people into employment.

Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college based in north London. In June 2024 we were judged as Good by Ofsted. We work with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living.  We also deliver a supported internship programme.   

Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. We also work with other employers to provide opportunities in other settings to meet the aspirations of our students.  

Our larger Highgate training centre is located in beautiful grounds, with a 1.8 acre horticulture site where we grow vegetables and flowers to sell at local markets.

The Role

Reporting into the Funding and Innovation Manager you will lead on contract management, oversight and monitoring and evaluation of our grants and crowdfunding programmes to community groups and customers, with a value of over £350,000 a year. You will be a great communicator and will ensure a high-quality service for applicants and awardees and will track our social impact through robust monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing funding applications received, undertaking due diligence and make recommendations to the grants panel.
• Producing high-quality documentation for all panel meetings including providing the panel with accurate and timely data to support decision-making.

• Effectively manage contractors for our grant's programmes including Community Grants, Employment and Skills and grants for customers.
• Deliver a good user experience for grant applicants and awardees and ensure there is consistency across grant programmes.
• Work with the Funding and Innovation Manager and Social Impact Manager and leads in each team to ensure monitoring and evaluation requirements are being delivered through the grants programme that demonstrate our social impact.

• Supporting opportunities via our grant programmes to bring in external funding to benefit SNG communities and customers.

• Working collaboratively across the Community Investment Directorate and with other internal teams ensuring grants programmes meet the priorities of their teams and customers in localities.
