Community Engagement Coordinator - Wales
Location: The role will be based out of the BookTrust Offices in Cardiff. BookTrust works in a hybrid and flexible way with an expectation of a minimum of 8 face to face collaboration days per month which could be at the Cardiff office, visiting partners across Wales and on occasions UK wide travel. There will therefore be reasonable travel needed to fulfil the role, with occasional overnight stays.
Contract: Full-time, open to discussing flexible and part-time options
Salary: £28,000.00 per annum.

A passion to make a difference for children and families with an interest in the benefits of literacy and reading to child development, the value of books, stories and rhymes and the role of parents, carers, and guardians in developing a love of reading would be valuable.

About the role
As a charitable organisation, our members are essential to sustaining the future of the Library and achieving our new five-year strategy.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated membership marketer with excellent communication and copywriting skills to help improve member engagement and retention and grow membership at the Library.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will join a small and busy team in the Membership department. You will implement compelling member-facing marketing communications, activities and campaigns across digital and print platforms that engage member audiences and drive retention rates and growth in line with the retention plan and the Library’s strategic goals.
Supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will work with an external producer and colleagues across the organisation to deliver The London Library Magazine three times a year. You will also design, deliver and analyse e-communications using our CRM and email software and identify opportunities to improve communication content and performance, organise member events, meet our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion aims, and act as first port of call for the media and communications function.
About you
Passionate about creating engaging copy for different audiences and channels, you will have a good level of experience with e-communications, e-software, data reporting and CRMs. You will have a background in membership marketing, ideally within an arts/cultural or charity organisation, and experience in implementing marketing retention campaigns to meet set targets. You will also have experience assisting with the delivery of events and be available to work at Library events as needed.
You will have strong writing skills with attention to detail and an ability to identify and produce engaging stories. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills, be organised and plan workload effectively to meet deadlines. You will enjoy working as part of a team while also able to work independently, taking initiative and holding yourself accountable to tasks. Most importantly, you will have a passion for your work, literature, reading and writing, and the work of The London Library; to inspire new ideas that create a unique impact on the UK’s literary and artistic output.

The Assessment, Advocacy & Advice Lead will provide frontline services to people diagnosed with HIV in Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth as part of the Bridges partnership and South West London and Wandsworth HIV Support project. About the role
We are looking for someone with experience in facilities and contract management, and the drive and desire to find solutions and complete projects to a high standard. This role manages the Trust’s office facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean and support a positive working environment for staff and volunteers. The post holder will manage contracts, striving to secure competitive prices, support with IT alongside the Trust's IT service provider, and identify and coordinate improvements to the Trust buildings. This role also manages the Business Support Officer.
The Facilities Manager role is for a 10 month fixed-term maternity cover with the possibility of an extension. We would consider between 30-37.5 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days. Other options may be considered for the right candidate.

We are looking for an experienced professional to take a key role in our grant-making team as our second grants officer. You will be comfortable analysing applications for funding and making informed recommendations, as well as a highly competent database user, comfortable with “super user” responsibilities. In addition, you will take a lead on data – reporting on, representing and interrogating our grant-making data. SEO London Alumni Relations Programme
SEO has a long history with our first alumni cohort graduating from the class of 2001. Our role is the nurture relationships with our vast pool of alumni, through an exciting engagement programme which includes industry networking events, social gatherings, newsletters and communications, volunteering opportunities and access to our talent pool. We create avenues for our alumni to stay connected to SEO as well as the broader network and open doors for them in industry. Accountabilities
VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT
- Working with the Head of Alumni Relations create our volunteering programme, providing a tangible offer for Alumni to continue to give back as members of our community as well as develop personally.
- Co- create and maintain a Volunteering database which will sit within the CRM and allow us to track, monitor and thank our volunteers accordingly. Helping to provide a better service to our alumni who have chosen to give their time.
- Create innovative ways through robust communication channels to attract volunteers to our roles
- Develop an engagement plan for our alumni, how do we steward our volunteers, do they receive a volunteering newsletter? How do we help them understand the impact they are having?
- Maintain the CRM and update with all active roles and progress
- Provide volunteering insights on a monthly basis to track and monitor the success of our recruitment offer
COMMUNICATIONS
- Alongside the Head of Alumni Relations you will be responsible for managing the creation and delivery of the Monthly newsletter, as an active participant in editorial meetings, you will be responsible for creating content and publishing the monthly newsletter
- As Comms lead for Social media you will be responsible for posting frequently across Linked In and Instagram to build engagement with our audience on these platforms
- You will provide monthly reporting on Newsletter open rates, the success of our comms in engaging our alumni as well as likes/ shares/ comments on social media EVENTS
EVENTS
- Supporting the Head of Alumni Relations in the delivery of monthly events, assisting with promotion as well as representing the team where possible at the events.
DATA
- Ensuring the CRM is kept up to date with all alumni data, highlighting any issues or concerns and providing solutions where possible, adhering to GDPR at all times.
CONNECT
- Our alumni engagement platform is specifically designed to engage our alumni and support them in connecting and expanding their personal network. Here they will find CPD opportunities, careers support and access to industry insights.
- The successful candidate will support the Head of Alumni Relations with processing all new members onto the CRM

Summary of the role:
The Community Fundraising Volunteers Coordinator is to drive and enhance fundraising efforts for Muslim Aid by planning, coordinating, and executing innovative fundraising events and campaigns across regional and national levels. This position involves deep engagement with the Muslim community and various stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities and achieve financial targets.
The post holder will ensure that all activities adhere to regulatory standards and organisational promises, effectively represent the organisational in public forums and live appeals, and manage productive relationships with external partners to optimise outcomes. Additionally, the post holder supports strategic campaign planning and evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with legal frameworks. The incumbent is expected to be flexible, with readiness to travel and adapt to unsociable hours as needed to meet the demands of the role.
About the Role
- Collaborate with the Fundraising team to optimise income through various community and innovative events, meeting agreed financial targets.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Muslim community and its key stakeholders.
- Plan and manage fundraising and promotional events across the region, adapting successful strategies for national implementation. This includes participation in events at schools, businesses, mosques, and with community groups and the general public.

To be successful in this role:

It is the RSPB’s belief that respectful stewardship of personal data is essential in retaining the trust of our supporters. You will provide specialist advice on Data Protection (UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018) and Fundraising laws and regulations across the UK, EU and internationally. This includes advice on systems and process changes to ensure RSPB operates in a compliant way. The DPO will provide advice in respect of the development of RSPB internal processes, policies and associated functional strategies, programmes and projects.
The Data Protection Officer will lead on investigations and complaints about data breaches and responsible for the management, administration and delivery of matters in relation to Data Subjects Rights, including Data Subject Access Requests, Right to be Forgotten requests. Individuals must have a legal qualification (law degree or other qualification) and/or experience in a relevant legal field (practitioner/solicitor/barrister in England & Wales or Northern Ireland).
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Practitioner qualification in Data Protection.
- English law degree/qualification as solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
- Experience of working in connection to data protection and fundraising regulatory requirements.

The Role
This role will be at the heart of our Localities, delivering Community Investment and partnership actively through commissioning and supporting activity that creates social impact.
Reporting to the Community Investment and Partnership Manager, you'll lead in the delivery and ongoing development of a Locality based Community Investment strategy, embedding our Thriving Communities, Customer Impact and Corporate Plan. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating, implementing and overseeing the delivery of a wide-ranging programme of interventions in localities
- Ensuring that contracts and projects are managed effectively, including performance management that demonstrates our social impact
- Ensuring the smooth and effective financial management of projects via contracts and grants, including adhering to procurement and financial regulations
- Working with the Partnerships and Funding team by writing bids that bring in external funding to deliver social impact in our communities
- Working collaboratively with Community Investment colleagues to ensure the Thriving Communities vision is delivered in localities
- Working effectively with our Grants Officer to support the grant programmes and work with awardees as required
- Embedding a framework for social impact and outcomes recording
What we need from you
Ideally, you'll have significant experience and expertise in the Community Investment sector gained from working in a similar role.
You'll need excellent partnership skills, a focus on delivering social impact, ability to identify opportunities for fundraising and programme development and commitment to customer service with the confidence to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. You'll also have:
- A proven track record of positive stakeholder engagement and relationship management, both internally and externally
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written, tailored to a range of audiences
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Experience of quality assurance of projects, including monitoring and evaluation systems
- Confidence with budget management and financial systems
- IT literate and able to use technology for effective project delivery
