Role purpose

To diversify, develop and deliver fundraising initiatives with a focus on major donors and legacies, securing significant funding for the Trust that will enable delivery of our new 2030 strategy of more space for nature, with more people on nature’s side. 

1. Main Responsibilities

1.1 Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with strategic objectives

1.2 Monitor and report on fundraising targets and budget

1.3 Line management of the Fundraising Officer

2. Major Donors

2.1 Growing the scale of donations – both the number of donors and the value of donations by managing an impactful major donor programme for the Trust 

2.2 Use the Trust’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage and grow a pipeline of prospects including high value donors, major donors and potential legators 

2.3 Develop and manage a portfolio of high value donors and prospects to include working closely with appropriate colleagues on research, cultivation, ask and stewardship, including planning and delivery of inspiring events

2.4 Work with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Trustees to appropriately involve them in planning and managing relationships with major donors 

2.5 Develop a stewardship programme, developing meaningful relationships with donors and potential donors, involving them in our work and ensure they feel valued and part of the Trust.

2.6 Manage the Patrons Circle, providing a fantastic experience for WWT Patrons, including delivering engaging events and maintaining regular communication

2.7 Ensure appeal donors receive relevant stewardship communications, including holding specific events and activities

3. Legacies

3.1 Support the development of the Trust's legacy strategy, leading to an increase in number of pledges and value pledged

3.2 Identify and recruit new legacy pledgers including but not exclusively from WWT members and supporters, ensuring a legacy pipeline

3.3 Steward known legacy pledgers to maximize and retain their loyalty to WWT and to maximize their lifetime giving, including their support for current appeals.

3.4 Ensure ongoing engagement with all legators and enquirers by upgrading and conversion through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger 

3.5 Create and run a series of events to engage potential and existing legators and legacy professionals

3.6 Liaise with departments across the Trust in relation to legacy campaigns 

3.7 Work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective communication about legacy giving with members, supporters and pledgers/legators 

3.8 Use the CRM’s legacy module to manage relationships with pledgers and legators

4. General Fundraising

4.1 Support the Trust's new Project Oversights Board, ensuring projects align with the strategy, are fully developed, and help secure appropriate funding

4.2 Input into funding bids

4.3 Support Trust fundraising appeals 

4.5 Work closely with the marketing team to update and improve third party fundraising materials, online material and guidance to enable supporters to fundraise for us independently 

4.6 Ensure that the Trust is up to date and compliant with legislation, regulators and GDPR requirements in relation to fundraising

4.7 Stay up to date with current best practice in fundraising techniques and track any upcoming trends 

4.8 Work with the Membership Services Manager and Membership Development Officer to ensure data is recorded on the CRM accurately and effectively to enable required analysis, tracking, reporting, segmentation and future targeting

5. General Responsibilities

5.1 Promote the work, mission and vision of the Trust at all times.

5.2 Work across teams to develop and implement activity plans across the 2030 strategy business plan.

5.3 Use every opportunity commensurate with other duties to contribute to the Trust’s membership recruitment, fundraising and engagement of people. 

5.4 Ensure a high level of customer service in all dealings with the public.

5.5 Ensure continuous development of skills and knowledge required for the post, undergoing training and performance review as required by the Trust.

5.6 Work within all the policies and procedures of the Trust, ensuring own compliance with the 5.7 Trust’s health and safety policies and procedures and that of any resources for whom you are responsible.

The Director of Finance & Operations will direct, administer and coordinate the financial, governance, HR, IT and operational activities of the charity in accordance with company policies and the Strategic Plan established by the Chief Executive (CE) and the Board of Trustees, and to assure the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the planning, delivery and reporting of these activities.

Salary: £46,000-£51,000 per annum depending on experience.

Role description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Community Fundraiser. You will lead, plan, cost and deliver an exciting and varied community fundraising programme to grow income and a strong return on investment. You will need to work closely with the Director of Fundraising to shape the plans and resources required for the future.

The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors, hospital staff and the local community to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity. 

Main Responsibilities: 

• To develop, support the delivery of and evaluate a strategic supporter journey and stewardship journey across the community fundraising programme focused on generating net return and supporter retention.  

• To create and increase awareness of fundraising for Southampton Hospitals Charity across all University Hospital Southampton sites working closely with the Marketing and Communications team

• To foster effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders including consultants, doctors, nurses, care group managers etc 

• To ensure visibility of fundraising materials including poster sites and leaflet holders in the hospitals, community etc and ensure they are kept up to date and relevant

• To be proactive in seeking out new fundraising opportunities, relationships, and networks.

• To proactively research and identify influential individuals in schools and community groups to build and develop relationships and gather support for key campaigns 

• To appropriately support all community fundraising activities- Thank and report on how money is spent and provide high levels of supporter relationship management which will result in long term support. 

• To liaise and manage relationships with external suppliers such as 3rd party event organisers, event companies and venues. 

Other 

• To be responsible for the input and maintenance of the fundraising database (Beacon) and ensure records are kept up to date in a timely, accurate and consistent manner

• Be aware of income and expenditure budgets working to ensure all activity achieves a return on investment of 4:1 

• To be aware of the changing external environment to pick up on opportunities and keep abreast of current trends, circumstances or topical issues that will enhance the event or the charity.

Person Specification: 

Knowledge and experience 

• Experience of increasing income through successful community, events, corporate or volunteer fundraising programmes or equivalent transferable experience from another sector 

• Experience of successful project management including planning and delivering projects within budgets and on time to meet departmental, team and personal objectives and KPIs 

• A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer/supporter stewardship experience 

• Experience of managing multiple projects and budgets 

• Demonstrable experience in using data insight and analysis to inform decision making 

• Excellent IT skills including using Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point as well as experience of administering and maintaining dedicated supporter CMS databases

Specialist Behavioural Support Workers are responsible for the customer's emotional, psychological wellbeing as well as providing support to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs. At Nimrod House, this will include providing physical, emotional, domestic, and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
This role's shift pattern consist of early and late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
What you'll do:
Behaviour Analysis:
- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour.
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour.
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes.
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community.

Other Responsibilities:
- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

As Conference and Events Officer, you'll support the planning and delivery of a wide range of events. You'll be involved in the full event cycle - from logistics and registration to on-the-day coordination and post-event evaluation.

Magpas Air Ambulance are looking for a driven and organised Challenges and Events Officer to join our Corporate, Community and Events Team. This is a key income-generating role, responsible for the planning, promotion, and delivery of a portfolio of challenge and fundraising events – including third-party, virtual and flagship events.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues and external partners to deliver exceptional supporter experiences that inspire participation, encourage fundraising, and maximise income for the charity.

You’ll need solid project management skills, strong supporter stewardship instincts, and a good understanding of how digital channels can be used to recruit, engage, and motivate fundraisers.

While you’ll be supported by our Digital Fundraising Officer, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive marketing and recruitment plan – combining digital campaigns with in-person promotion and outreach at events and through partner networks.

This role would suit someone with some experience working on charity challenge events who is ready to take the next step in their career – bringing their knowledge, creativity and energy to a role where they can work with autonomy, ownership and impact.

Role Summary:

• Lead the planning, promotion and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising challenge events, including third-party, virtual and flagship activities
• Create and deliver inspiring supporter journeys that encourage participation, increase fundraising and build long-term engagement
• Develop digital-led recruitment and marketing plans, working closely with our Digital Fundraising Officer and wider communications team
• Deliver excellent project and event management, from logistics and risk management to supplier liaison and on-the-day delivery
• Use data and insight to monitor event performance, optimise campaigns and grow income year on year

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in organising or supporting fundraising or challenge events
• A track record of achieving income targets and maximising fundraising potential
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging supporters and stakeholders
• An understanding of digital marketing tools and a willingness to contribute to digital content and campaigns
• Experience using CRM systems (ideally Donorfy) and using data to inform decisionmaking
• A proactive, positive and flexible approach – including willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

About the role:

As a DA caseworker, you will:

• Effectively manage a caseload of service users affected by domestic abuse, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions

Sussex Emmaus is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced social exclusion or homelessness. The Coordinator ensures the warehouse is organised and is following applicable laws and regulations. Duties & responsibilities
People

• To work alongside and train Companions to increase their skill base and confidence
• To organise the deployment of tasks to individuals and team members
• To train, supervise, motivate, and inspire volunteers and companions.
• To help devise and deliver induction on standards of work to new team members so that retail activities are delivered to the agreed brand, including customer service, merchandising, pricing, stock control, and culture

Warehouse Operation

• To ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations by maximising quality donations and minimising waste

• To be proactive in the generation of donated stock, managing stock collection efficiently and effectively to the agreed standards and timescales under Emmaus guidelines

• To ensure that cover for the safe operation of the Undercroft is always sufficient

Stock Management

• To be responsible for ensuring that only sellable donations and those that conform to all relevant UK government and trading standards legislation are accepted for resale in the shop
• To disseminate any changes from Trading Standards as and when to relevant parties to ensure compliance
• To ensure all donated items are sorted and priced and merchandised to receive the optimum for the charity and the correct procedures are applied throughout the sorting process to allow for coding and pricing to be applied to items

Safety, Health, and Environment

• To oversee all Health & Safety requirements within the warehouse, taking corrective action as and when required, and informing/liaising with managers and team as necessary
• To assist in compiling risk assessments with team members
• Ensure safe working systems are adhered to in conjunction with the Emmaus policies and procedures, and are compliant with all relevant legal requirements
• To ensure that Health & Safety is adhered to in terms of equipment use and that manual handling guidelines are followed
• Ensure work areas follow correct processing procedures, ensuring that the work area is always kept clean and tidy
• Assist in delivering Health & Safety training to new Companions and volunteers
