We are looking for someone with the skills and experience of an operational role in a small dynamic and growing organisation to join our team. This is an important role working closely with our CEO to help our charity achieve its ambitious growth plans. The role is part time working 3 days per week which can be worked flexibily.
You will undertake a range of operational and financial activities. You will be experienced, well organised and accustomed to independent remote work and will join a friendly team of five and be willing to contribute to all areas of our work. JOB SUMMARY
To support the CEO and assist the PKD Charity to deliver its organisational operations effectively and continue to provide first-class services to our community.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage project grants and contracts and liaise with the charity’s accountants to ensure income and expenditure are tracked correctly.
- Manage regular financial activities including gift aid claims, lottery returns, expense checking and bank reconciliations.
- Manage policies and procedures, including periodic reviews and updating.
- Help update and maintain records on our CRM, in line with current legislation.
- Produce reports for the CEO as required.
- Participate in annual and 3-year strategy and business planning.
- Help plan new projects.
- Propose systems and tools to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support staff operationally as and when required, eg occasional venue/catering booking.
- Any other reasonable duties as required within your competence and abilities.
About the PKD Charity.
Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.
PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life-saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s. A few babies have a rare form of PKD which results in death during pregnancy or shortly after birth; surviving children often have to have either a kidney or liver transplant before the age of 10.
We provide reliable, accredited information, advice and personalised support. We raise awareness of the burden of PKD, both clinical and psychosocial. We fund research aimed at understanding more about PKD and the discovery of therapies that will improve quality and longevity of life.

We are recruiting an Area Manager for Scotland to create and cultivate sustainable community services across your area to contribute to PAPYRUS creating suicide-safer communities for young people across the whole of the UK.
What you will do:
· You will lead the EQUIP strategy in your Area.

About the Role
Reporting to our Operations Manager in the Investment Team this role plays an important part in supporting SIBs Investment Team in delivering funding programmes (grants and loans) to charities and social enterprises. As a member of the operations team the role will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Investment Team.
The role holder will support the day-to-day delivery of funding programmes, including dealing with initial enquiries from our customers, providing support to our Relationship Managers (internal and external) throughout the customer journey, and providing administrative support to the team.
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, organised, and has good attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and a desire to support our customers throughout their customer journey. We require someone who is able to manage a varied workload, and keen to contribute to the delivery of our funding programmes.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage relevant email inboxes and respond to enquiries using guidance notes and signposting queries where relevant.
2. Generate, check, validate and send offer documents to customers.
3. Carry out subsidy and due diligence checks and maintain accurate records.
4. Work with the Operations and Relationship Managers to check and authorise payment requests, ensuring all conditions have been satisfied (grants team only).
5. Set up customer monitoring records, send monitoring requests, complete monitoring records and close grant/ loan cases (as required).
6. Carry out audit sampling of grant/ loan cases (as required).
7. Respond to requests for information and produce regular management information reports for the team.
8. Prepare, review and format reports and papers, including for Grant Panels and Senior Management Team.
9. Be responsible for the minutes of Grant Committees, recording decisions taken, pursue actions and report on matters arising (grants team only).
10. Keep customer Salesforce details (e.g. contact details) and SharePoint files and folders (e.g. bank details, signatories, end of grant report tracking) up to date and accurate (as required).
11. Keep fund Salesforce (e.g. reports) and SharePoint files and folders (e.g. fund information, guidance docs) up to date and accurate.
12. Maintain administrative systems to support the on-going efficient and effective running of the team and ensure they are reviewed and updated if needed.
13. Provide administrative and other support to members of the team.
14. Support the operations team with the setup of new funds and the update of established fund policies, procedures and templates (as required).
15. Provide cover for the Operations Manager and the other Investment Team Assistant when they are on leave, and to provide cover for other operations team tasks as required.

About the Role
This role will be responsible for developing the vision and direction of the Communication and Marketing Strategy but will fundamentally be an operational management delivery role. Responsible for developing and rolling out a multi‐channel communication and marketing strategy that will:
- raise the profile of the charity by communicating news about projects, programmes, and partnerships on social channels, on online and print media outlets, TV networks,
- deliver communications to generate sales to secure a pipeline of farm residential visit bookings from beneficiary groups (being children from schools in disadvantaged communities, youth groups, young carers, children in care, etc) across England and Wales.
- secure income from fundraising by communicating the charity’s mission, vision, and values to donors, funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.
The successful applicant will have considerable experience of developing and delivering a communication and marketing strategy as well as experience of designing and delivering multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns. Excellent people skills are key, as you will need to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Raising the profile of the Charity by devising and implementing a beneficiary‐focused communications strategy that supports both the sales and fundraising function, including print, social, and online communications that target teachers and other adults who are key decision makers for our beneficiaries.
- Developing and embedding an integrated communications and marketing strategy to deliver the ambitions of the Business plan, to reach new markets and successfully translate connections into bookings (‘sales’) or generate income from funders to support fundraising.
- Leading on the management and development of all channels of communication for the Charity: social media, website, YouTube channel, print media.
This position is home based but you will be required to travel to our farms and Head Office based in Exeter as required in order to fulfil the role.

THE ROLE
This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of three based in the South. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our Autumn 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. You will also deliver our workshop programme within the area.
Mentoring programme
- Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
- Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
- Deliver events and workshops for mentees.
- Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
- Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
- Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
- Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
- Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network. process in line with our child protection policy.
- Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships.

- Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses.
- Work with your Senior Network Manager to identify a recruitment and retention plan for your area including key partners to work with.

The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our Autumn 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. You will also deliver our workshop programme within the area.
Mentoring programme
- Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
- Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
- Deliver events and workshops for mentees.
- Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
- Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
- Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
- Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
- Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network. process in line with our child protection policy.
- Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships.
Partnerships
- Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses.
- Work with your Senior Network Manager to identify a recruitment and retention plan for your area including key partners to work with.
- Be an active presence in the community, attending events and networks to encourage local women to mentor on our programme.

THE ROLE
Purpose: To manage the effective implementation of programme delivery and development of Merseyside, Tyne and Wear, and Tees Valley Regions. This role will work with staff, schools and corporate partners to ensure that we deliver impact for the girls and young women we serve.
Manage The Girls’ Network mentoring (and other) programmes in your region:
Partnership development:
- Develop effective partnerships with new schools, recruiting them into The Girls’ Network’s programme to enable your team to meet regional targets. Maintaining relationships for successful renewals.
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues during the engagement process of new corporate partners, to ensure regional targets and needs are met e.g. income, mentor numbers, programme content.
- Oversee delivery of mentor opportunities for the region’s corporate partnerships, ensuring Memorandum of Understanding are met, referring any issues of concern to the Fundraising team for support and guidance.
- Provide relevant information to fundraising and Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning colleagues on any Tier 1 partners in the region, to enable production of evaluation reports
- Lead on delivery of the region’s awareness events, acting as the key contact person.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising & Communications team on key campaigns, e.g. International Womens’ Day, to reach key audiences and help build awareness and support income generation.
Mentor Community Development:
- Work with programme colleagues and the fundraising team to identify regional mentoring needs and coordinate the implementation of a mentor recruitment and engagement plan in your region, ensuring your region has an appropriate amount of mentors to run programmes.
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of the region’s events, acting as the key contact person.
Safeguarding support and leadership:
- Provide day-to-day safeguarding support for the Programme team in the North of the country – escalating issues to the Safeguarding lead where appropriate.
- Provide feedback on key safeguarding risks or issues, and needs for development or training to the Safeguarding Lead
Monitoring and evaluation:
- Oversee the collection of regional data and ensure that your staff keep Salesforce up to date with mentee, mentor, schools and partners relationships to effectively track the progress, and impact of mentoring relationships.
- Periodically evaluate and report on the progress and impact of The Girls’ Network initiatives in the region.
- Hold overall responsibility for regional targets, reporting to Senior Leadership Team.
- Manage and allocate the budget for the mentoring programme in the region, to cover workshops, celebration events, travel etc
Line Management of region’s Network Managers:
- Manage Network Managers in the region, through regular 1:1s and accountability of reporting.
- Support the wellbeing and professional development of your regional team.

Grow our network in your region:
- Identify opportunities for growth in North region and work with Senior Leadership Team to develop regional strategy

Learning & Development
- Provide shadowing opportunities to Network Managers in other regions.

Role outline and purpose
Ensuring the delivery of The Trussell Trust’s vision to end the need for food banks in the UK by developing an in-depth understanding of Trussell Trust food banks in their area and using coaching and assist to build and hold productive relationships to:
· Develop and execute a strategic plan for reducing the need for food banks’ services locally.
· Work alongside local partners to increase public will for long-term solutions to end the need for food banks.
· Develop and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders to assist evidenced-based policy change at a local level and feed into activity to drive policy and practice at UK wide and national levels.
Responsibilities
· Assisting trustees, staff and volunteers within food banks to develop their plans to end the need for their services locally through the strategic key areas of operations, volunteering, data, participation, church engagement, governance and stability, financial inclusion, stakeholder engagement, local influencing, referral pathways and signposting.
· Assist food banks to operate in a safe, legal and dignified manner (through calls, visits, training, meeting facilitation and our risk management and self-assessment processes) and assist the facilitation of good practice within the network and wider organisation (through cluster meetings, regional forums, road shows, webinars, peer support and internal meetings).
· Contribute to the development and promotion of support available to food banks through the Trussell Trust (including use of the digital hub, toolkits, partnerships and expert advice) and assist food banks with grant application processes, as required.
· Develop and manage positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders, including local councils and anti-poverty networks, to ensure the Trussell Trust vision is understood and able to influence local decisions, whilst supporting and empowering food banks to foster these relationships locally.
· Work with food banks to ensure that local churches (including church leaders) are connected to and have an understanding of the importance of ending the need for food banks in local communities.
· Support the development, and lead on aspects of delivery, of projects with food banks and external partners that contribute to ending the need for food banks.
· Ensure the voice of our network is heard throughout the organisation through reporting, information sharing and participation in additional working groups and projects.
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
· Competent and efficient use of IT, particularly the main Microsoft Office programmes. Previous experience of Salesforce or similar CRM system is desirable.

About this role:
This role plays an important part in enabling the YIF team to support the delivery of the Fund and to provide excellent customer service to its grantees.

Key responsibilities
1. To support effective triage of YIF grants to enable timely monthly disbursements to take place.
2. To ensure that calls are scheduled with each grantee due a disbursement in each month.

4. To undertake these calls with each grantee, checking the figures they have shared through the grantee community in Salesforce, updating these figures diligently and accurately.
5. To collect additional information on the progress of each grantee’s capital project, updating relevant fields in Salesforce diligently and accurately.
6. To collate all relevant updates from each month’s calls, and share this reporting with the Senior Relationship Manager and Head of Property Funding to enable accurate cross-checking with the finance team and timely reporting to DCMS.
7. To manage the customer inbox on a daily basis and respond to enquiries from customers using guidance notes and where necessary escalating queries to the YIF Admin Team Leader in the first instance.

The Artswork Professional Development team contributes significantly to Artswork’s income generation and successful reputation. We provide in person, online and asynchronous training for organisations and individuals working within the creative industries and beyond. Recent clients have included Southbank, Shakespeare’s Globe and Bristol Beacon. We are now seeking a Customer Relations & Finance Lead to join our learning team which works on one of the three key strands of the organisation.
You will need to be highly organised, detail orientated with a background in financial administration and have experience of working within a customer focussed environment.
As a dynamic team focussed on growth, we are looking for someone who will also bring ideas and contribute to the overall direction and strategy of Artswork Professional Development.
