Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in an administrative role. Clear experience of handling enquiries sensitively and with compassion across multiple communication channels is key, coupled with an awareness of issues facing elderly/disabled people and services available within the wider community.

About the role
Central London based. Whilst hybrid working (currently two days a week office based for FTE) is offered, the post holder will be required to be in the office more frequently at some points in the year to deal with seasonal administrative tasks.
The working hours for this role are 21 hours a week with flexibility to work the hours over 3 to 5 days as long as they include Monday and Tuesday.
As our Services & Grants Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Services and Grants team, allocating incoming enquiries, coordinating weekly grant payments and other administrative tasks as required. You will administer a small regular grant programme and identify clients who would benefit from further in-depth support whilst ensuring excellent customer service.
You will also manage enquiries in the email inbox as well as distribution of web-based enquiries to the Services and Grants team within one working day of receipt.

Role Requirements
- Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
- Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
- Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
- Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
- Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
- Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
- Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
- Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
- Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
- Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
- Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

About the role:

Our highly committed Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the North East England & Yorkshire Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North East England or Yorkshire region, which includes North, South, East and West Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. There will be occasional travel around these areas and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
The post is part time, three days per week, working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
About the team
The team works remotely and prides itself in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in these regions, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR, along with experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families, along with supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North East & Yorkshire would be valuable.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team in the role of Brent Service Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our unique, beloved 1:1 sessions for children with additional needs. We're looking for someone who is not only self-motivated and highly organised but also possesses experience working with disabled children in various settings, including play, educational, or social care, with a specific focus on autism and learning disabilities. Your passion for providing top-quality activity and support services to our children and families is paramount.
Every week during term time, children aged 5-11 attend our 90-minute KEEN London sports and games sessions, where they receive personalised support from our dedicated team of volunteer coaches. Our Brent site is the newest addition to the KEEN London community and you'll play a crucial role in its continual development. We have just completed our two year pilot and are looking for a candidate to build on this foundation. As the Brent Service Coordinator, you'll be solely responsible for the front line delivery of the Brent service: planning, safety, and creating a fun and inclusive environment for all. This will involve working closely with our athletes and their families, supervising our team of volunteer coaches and engaging with the local community. Additionally, you'll oversee the organisation and execution of off-site trips and contribute to the organisation of our annual residential trip.

Hope Place is a new supported accommodation service located in Slough comprising 10 self contained rooms with a staff office on site. Purpose of the Public Affairs Officer role:
As the Public Affairs Officer in the External Affairs team at Women’s Aid, you will play a pivotal role in our government and parliamentary engagement work. This will include leading on monitoring parliamentary activity and identifying opportunities for Women’s Aid to influence the political agenda and ensure parliamentarians are kept up to date on issues related to domestic abuse. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our influencing work with the new government on key pieces of legislation, Women’s Aid’s next big campaign and assisting Women’s Aid’s secretariat role to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Domestic Violence and Abuse. Alongside organising meetings and events for the APPG and with key political stakeholders, you will lead on the development of public affairs and campaigns materials, including policy bulletins, briefings, speaking notes and letters to government ministers.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Public Affairs Officer:
- Carry out regular political monitoring, keeping the team updated with important developments for Women’s Aid, identifying opportunities for influence and providing analysis on policy announcements.
- Draft newsletters, correspondence, and website and social media content for parliamentarians, Women’s Aid’s member services and campaigners on a range of campaign and policy priorities.
- Support Women’s Aid’s work on key pieces of legislation - responding to queries, drafting briefings and parliamentary questions, working with Parliamentarians on draft amendments, and the development of joint sector work.

What you'll do:
Manage client referrals, completing Dash Risk Assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork.
Building supportive, trusting relationships with clients and creating a positive atmosphere.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols.
Regular attendance at Marac and completion of all Marac referrals.
Support Customers to obtain Non Molestation Orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them.
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with or as a representative for clients.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.
Creating a safety plan with clients.
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes.
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
Encouraging customers to attend relevant programmes when appropriate i.e Own My Life.
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc.
Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures.
Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills.
Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Service Manager.

Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing. Margery Park is a 3 bed Supported living service, for customers with learning disabilities and Autism and we are looking to build a staff team with an excellent value base to support the customer to build their new life and develop their skills as an independent person. Personal care will be required for male customers. Support Workers will need to be flexible and shifts will require some mornings, afternoons/Evenings and weekends.

What you'll do:
Supporting the customer to undertake a full timetable of preferred activities including sport and leisure activities, attending community groups, visiting local amenities, and introducing them to new activities to expand their horizons and networks
Developing the customer's independent living skills and involving them in all aspects of maintaining and developing their home, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and decorating
Enabling the customer to keep up with the important people in their life and to meet new people with shared interests
Supporting the customer to communicate their wants and needs, and communicating with them in a person-centred way
Supporting the customer to manage their anxieties and frustrations, using Positive Behaviour Support and Autism-specific approaches
Collating a range of behavioural data and essential paperwork to be analysed within our local management structure
May need driving the customer to activities using the customer's vehicle, in rotation with the wider team
Communicating with family members and a range of other key stakeholders including social work, psychology and commissioning teams
Acting in accordance with the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care & Support plus those specific to the service including any statutory requirements
Consistently reviewing the customer's life goals and their progress towards achieving them, in partnership with them and those important to them
Supporting the customer with personal care
Reporting any observations relating to customer welfare
