The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are now looking for a Skilled Gardener to join us in Richmond Park on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.

The Role

As a Skilled Gardener, you will be responsible for the care, cultivation, and maintenance of Richmond Park's 2500 acres of gardens and landscapes.

Delivering practical conservation work and general maintenance tasks, you will protect and enhance the park's conservation status, undertaking repairs and renewals of estate infrastructure, ensuring all park facilities are safe and well-maintained.

You will be tasked with mowing, hedge-cutting, plant care, and tree establishment activities for allocated garden areas, as well as providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices and volunteers, contributing to their training and development by sharing your expertise.

Additionally, you will:

• Operate and maintain countryside machinery and equipment safely
• Assist with winter maintenance tasks, including road gritting and snow removal
• Implement and promote sustainable gardening practices to enhance biodiversity
• Engage with park visitors, providing information and ensuring their safety and enjoyment
• Collaborate with the Estates Team to participate in planning and programming of work

About You

To be considered as a Skilled Gardener, you will need:

• Demonstrable practical horticultural experience
• The ability to safely operate a range of routine garden machinery, including ride-on mowers, tractors, hedge-cutters, strimmers and leaf blowers
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety
• Good plant knowledge, particularly around shrubs, herbaceous and bulbous plants
• Working knowledge of horticultural plant and machinery operations
• A formal horticultural qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2 in amenity horticulture or RHS (or equivalent experience)
• A full, valid driving licence

For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group FP&A Manager who will coordinate and produce consolidated financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. The Group FP&A Manager will contribute to planning activity and data across Finance, working closely with Regional Finance Directors to ensure consistency of all planning and forecasting. The Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) is the professional home for archaeologists in the UK and overseas. You will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the organisation. Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all financial systems are implemented effectively while ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. In addition, you will assist the Finance Manager in maintaining a functional and safe office environment in accordance with employment and health and safety laws. 

 Key duties:

 Financial:

 Accounts Payable

• Manage the day-to-day accounts payable activity to support the organisation's short-term obligations owed to its creditors or suppliers, including but not limited to: 
• Utilise cloud-based software to manage supplier invoice activity.
• Dealing with external creditor and supplier queries. 
• Assisting the Finance Manager with supplier contract renewals.
• Manage and reconcile expense activity across all business cards utilising cloud-based software where appropriate. 
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.

Account Receivable

• Manage the day-to-day accounts receivable activity between the organisation and its clients, customers, and donors, including but not limited to: 
• Process all incoming post and utilise the CRM database to record any fundraising income.
• Ensure cheques are deposited weekly in accordance with finance policy and procedures.
• Ensure accurate billing for goods or services, not including those related to healthcare.
• Reconcile incoming payments against all invoices. 

 Month End and Period End

• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts by performing activities including but not limited to: 
• Auditing and correcting where necessary the accounting allocation of transactional detail in accounting software. 
• Monitor and audit aged debtors and creditors- correcting errors, reconciling unallocated payments, and chasing missing invoices where needed. 
• Utilise the CRM database to calculate and submit the monthly gift aid return and perform the journal entry into accounting software.

 Payroll Administration

• Collate salary transactional data from payroll reports, update payroll apportionment sheet and prepare journal for entry into accounting software.

 Participate in Finance Audits

• Maintain records at a level which meets the needs of external auditors. Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of document evidence and be on hand to assist during the field week section of the external audit.

• Assist the Finance Manager in various office duties including but not limited to: 
• Monitoring office supply levels and replenish where necessary.

Start date: May (or as soon as possible)

Salary: £25,874 per annum (or £29,864 pro-rata, inclusive of £3,990 London/South East Weighting, if applicable)

Location: Hybrid working with either London or Manchester as base. We are happy to consider any flexible working request.

Working hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract: 6-month fixed term contract

Annual leave: 30 days plus statutory bank holidays (if full time). All WIP staff also receive an additional 3 days leave between Christmas and New Year.

Pension scheme: WIP provides an auto enrolment pension scheme with 5% contributions from the employer and 3% from the employee.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Description:

Job Purpose: A supporting role within WIP’s Monitoring & Evaluation team with a focus on systems administration, user support, data monitoring and gathering of women’s voices

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Hold responsibility for case management user administration and routine technical support

2. Support programmes teams to effectively use the case management system by providing training and guidance

3. Support programme managers and the wider organisation with effective reporting by ensuring data monitoring systems and processes are being utilised to their full potential and data sets are of a high quality

4. Support gathering women’s voices and experiences in order to understand the women who are using WIPs services, and the outcomes and impact of our programmes

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Trusts and Philanthropy Officer to join our small, ambitious fundraising team. IPSEA has a proven track record of successfully securing grants, and this is a new role designed to help strengthen and grow IPSEA’s income from charitable Trusts and Foundations. You will be responsible for researching new funding opportunities, preparing and submitting tailored applications and reports, and managing relationships with existing funders through thoughtful and timely stewardship. You will also support the early development of strategies in major gifts and wider philanthropy. 

This role is an opportunity to play a key role in our future fundraising strategy and help secure long-term financial sustainability for our services. 

You will work remotely, with occasional travel required for essential meetings approximately 4-5 times per year.
