Reporting into the Financial Controller, the main objective of the Accounts Receivable Assistant is to reinforce strong financial controls and careful management of the Party’s income. This role is ideally suited to someone with some experience in finance or accounts looking to step up or someone who has worked within a conference and events environment in a similar administrative role looking to transition into finance.
Duties will include:
- Coordinating and processing the day-to-day funds raised by the Treasurer’s team in our accounts package Access Financials and donor CRM (Raisers Edge).
- Coordinating and accounting for transactions processed through digital payment solutions.
- Support direct mail fundraising, coordinating the processing of responses and receipts.
- Work closely with these teams to process charges generated from their databases and ensure invoices are raised accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Ensure cash receipts are posted to the appropriate accounts and the appropriate VAT treatment applied.
- Support the account management of key clients; to ensure the booking and billing process is smooth and their commercial experience is seamless.
- Preparation of daily Treasurer’s cash report and weekly income reports for distribution to stakeholders.
- Manage aged debtor balances and the receivables ledger, ensuring that strict procedures are followed to mitigate bad debt through structured debt collection procedures.
- Complete month-end/year-end closure procedures including monthly bank reconciliations.
This position will be based at the Conservative Party’s central Leeds office and requires four days per week of working from their office. Purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the Partnerships Manager role is to lead on the delivery of first-class account management to a diverse portfolio of corporate partners, generating income to support Breaking Barriers’ work. Each partnership at Breaking Barriers is bespoke, comprising fundraising, skilled volunteering, awareness raising and, crucially, placement and job opportunities for our refugee clients.
Working closely with the wider Partnerships Management and Programmes teams, you will be responsible for launching new partnerships and retaining business by deepening relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
The successful candidate will have experience managing corporate partner relationships, including making fundraising asks and managing external communication with donors and partners at all levels of seniority. You will deploy your influencing skills and ability to build profitable relationships to great effect as you take a leading role identifying and nurturing future strategic partnerships. The Head of Finance will lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management and sustainability to support our charitable objectives. With responsibility for a team of five you will lead and provide statutory, financial and management accounting, including all financial planning and analysis, for the Football Foundation (Foundation) and the Premier League Stadium Fund.
The role:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
- Lead and work with the SMT, Management Group, PMO Lead, and Data & Insight team to create and maintain financial and cost models to support the development and finalisation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, focusing on the relationship between services, resources, and productivity.

At it’s height, Cannington Shaw was the largest glass bottle maker in the world. All that now remains is the # 7 Bottle Shop – a fine example of what was once one of the first regenerative tank furnaces in the world. Derelict since closure of the works in the 1980s, it is now badly overgrown, with considerable structural deterioration. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Grade II Listed, and on the Heritage at Risk Register since 2002.
In the ownership of the Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust, the site is about to undergo a transformation as the first phase in restoring the building begins thanks to a £1.3m grant from the St Helens Town Deal.
A partner in the process, Groundwork Cheshire Lancs & Merseyside are leading on a project to develop and deliver a Heritage Skills Academy that aims to link the opportunities presented by the conservation and restoration of the building with local people wishing to develop their skills – with a particular focus on heritage construction skills.
