Pivotal to our success is a partnerships specialist who will support the development of a countywide Children & Young People’s Mental Health Network. The Network will enable closer collaboration across the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector – which will ultimately result in better outcomes for young people.

Our aspiration is that the Network will then support the co-production of a formal Alliance model which we envisage will be commissioned in the Autumn.

The post-holder will support, guide, and facilitate this initiative, working with VCFSE partners to understand and meet the needs of the sector and those they support.

It's a part time role, working 22.5-30 hours per week on a 12-month contract. The salary is £30,000 per annum, pro rata. Secondments will be considered.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team in the role of Brent Service Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our unique, beloved 1:1 sessions for children with additional needs. We're looking for someone who is not only self-motivated and highly organised but also possesses experience working with disabled children in various settings, including play, educational, or social care, with a specific focus on autism and learning disabilities. Your passion for providing top-quality activity and support services to our children and families is paramount.

Every week during term time, children aged 5-11 attend our 90-minute KEEN London sports and games sessions, where they receive personalised support from our dedicated team of volunteer coaches. Our Brent site is the newest addition to the KEEN London community and you'll play a crucial role in its continual development. We have just completed our two year pilot and are looking for a candidate to build on this foundation.  As the Brent Service Coordinator, you'll be solely responsible for the front line delivery of the Brent service: planning, safety, and creating a fun and inclusive environment for all. This will involve working closely with our athletes and their families, supervising our team of volunteer coaches and engaging with the local community.  Additionally, you'll oversee the organisation and execution of off-site trips and contribute to the organisation of our annual residential trip.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the People and Organisational Development (POD) team based in the charity’s head office. Our city centre hub has been recently refurbished and you will be working in a friendly, supportive, environment in a role where you can enjoy professional contact with colleagues at all levels. This is a varied role providing support in the day to day running of the Bristol Hub and performing an Executive Assistant function, delivering high quality and confidential support to the Executive Director (ED), with duties such as diary and email management, administration of the ED travel and expenses and other duties.

About you

Sitting within the broader Student Voice Department (alongside the Advice Team), you would lead a friendly, talented team of four permanent Student Voice Coordinators (SVCs) who together account for all of the Union’s policy, democratic, representation and campaigning work, alongside a part-time member of student staff.

Variety is hard-wired into the role. In addition to overseeing policy and research output, you would be responsible for leading a democratic and governance structure that is so innovative it is currently the source of an international academic study. Accountabilities here would include delivery of our biannual student elections and sector-leading Student Panels.

You would also be responsible for leading on how we support our elected student representatives and campaign groups; and for the Union’s academic representation work.

Given the breadth of work undertaken within the team, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

About the role

As part of this exciting role, you will be responsible for successfully planning and delivering our UK campaigns. Working arrangements

About you

• Be digitally savvy and confident using a range of digital tools for organising such as Slack, Google docs, Whatsapp, Action Network, Airtable and others.

• Be committed to our movement principles and have a commitment to fight for a Green New Deal which is rooted in climate, economic and racial justice.
