The Victim’s Worker/IDVA will champion the Cranstoun values across the organisation and drive the Cranstoun ‘people’ agenda ensuring a culture based on fairness, collaboration and trust.
The Victim’s Worker/IDVA will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis either face to face or online/telephone platforms with survivors/victims of the Harrow Domestic Abuse Support Service. They will also pro-actively secure engagement, and support victims on an ongoing one to one offer, improving the safety of victims/survivors and link to complementary services.
To do this, they will work in a multi -agency framework with existing agencies site to design a co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plan to address identified needs and risks and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.
Throughout the intervention, they will work closely with the Harrow Domestic Abuse team and external agencies to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and may be subject to vetting based upon location/office space utilised in areas.

Outreach Practitioner - Wokingham
An Outreach Practitioner is required to work on a part time contract for a drug and alcohol charity based in Wokingham.
The role is working 21-28 hours per week, providing support to clients who are unable to access the service.
Please note that a driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Outreach Practitioner - East London
An Outreach Practitioner is required to work on an initial 3-month contract for a drug and alcohol charity based in East London.
The role of an Outreach Practitioner is to provide high-quality street-based drug and alcohol interventions to people who are homeless or at danger of becoming so in order to promote positive outcomes.
They will oversee, evidence-based interventions, recovery planning, and aftercare planning while managing a small, complex caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and reengage homeless individuals misusing substances by conducting street outreach, building relationships along the way.
- As part of a well-integrated care package, provide evidence-based psychosocial one-on-one therapies and adopt a proactive stance when dealing with service user disengagement.
- This includes naloxone programs, recovery interventions, opiate replacement therapy, blood-borne virus intervention, assertive outreach, needle and syringe program delivery, and harm reduction advice, guidance, and education.
- Participate in internal and external multidisciplinary review meetings and collaborate with housing teams, local authority officers, and other treatment agencies to encourage individuals in seeking treatment in order to reduce the occurrence of antisocial behaviour and street drinking.
Experience Required:

Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Grow Project in Birmingham. This innovative project is led by young people who are affected by drug or alcohol use, they learn how to grow their own food, cook healthy meals, make new friends and have the chance to work towards qualifications. Your challenge? To provide brief and long-term interventions which will incorporate outdoor spaces and activities that promote healthy lifestyles and reduce substance misuse. You will also develop care plans, provide case management, ensure integrated pathways and support the development of family intervention within the wider team. You will also allocate and oversee the work of peer mentors and volunteers as required.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community care (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our specialist substance misuse family safeguarding team in Derby who specialises in reducing the harms caused to children and families as a result of parental substance misuse whilst improving parenting ability and family functioning to reduce family breakdown.
Aquarius work with families and young people across a range of home and community settings supporting parents to build insight into the impact of parental substance misuse whilst developing safety and risk management strategies to minimise risk to the wider family.
Your challenge? To support and deliver substance misuse and safeguarding focused interventions with substance using parents through 1:1 support, group facilitation and employing an multi-agency approach alongside voluntary and statutory agencies involved in family support.
Aquarius has a well embedded family service with a think family approach being utilised across the city of Derby We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to help deliver this service and expand the family support options to support families in Derby with the aim of improving outcomes for all family members affected by parental substance misuse.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you will need a passion for working with families supported by a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. You will have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.
This is a permanent part-time role requiring the post holder to work 22.5 per week. Working days can be negotiated as part of interview process.
