We are looking for an inspirational person to lead our established team of staff and volunteers, to springboard from the amazing foundations already in place and take Repton Community Trust on the next stage of its successful journey.

Our successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate about working with communities and equally comfortable negotiating with senior stakeholders as rolling up their sleeves and running community events. They will have a proven track record in securing grant funding from a range of sources and managing the high-quality delivery of multiple grant funded programmes.

Who are Repton Community Trust

·Our thriving community centre has had more than 100,000 visitors since we opened in 2018.

·We opened Kent’s first community fridge in 2019.

·Our innovative Peoples Pantry and 24-hour food lockers supported thousands of people during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020/21.

·We opened our first community shop (social supermarket) in 2022.

·We expanded our services to include a mobile shop reaching rural communities in Ashford and Rural Rother in 2023.

·We rescue on average 0.75 tonnes of food per month in 2024.

This exciting role offers a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and multi-talented individual to develop their career in a charity that is passionate about families with young children. We're looking for someone who is a natural communicator, who can use different social and creative media to get our message across to different stakeholders, whilst providing core administrative support to the team.

Home-Start Barnet (HSB) delivers personalised, early intervention programmes to families with young children, who have multiple needs and are struggling to cope with the challenges they face. Our trained volunteers provide the emotional support needed to prevent crisis and the practical tools to empower parents and carers to give their children the best start in life.

The Operations and Communications Administrator will proactively facilitate this work by being a central point of contact and by offering key administrative support across the organisation. They will be a self-starter, well organised and committed to the cause.

The role is based at our offices in Finchley, N3. We ideally require someone to be present in the office 5 days a week, but there can be flexibilty for the right candidate. This would suit someone who would like to work shorter days or around other commitments. • Handle all incoming communications - phone, email and other communications
• Provide central administration support to the charity

Job Purpose: To manage the digital outputs for BWW Mind across all social media channels and our website.
Based at: Mock St, Westminster with some home working and occasional travel across Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster

Main Responsibilities

• To be responsible for effective online marketing of the services and projects run by BWW Mind and ensuring that BWW Mind has a strong digital presence in the communities that we serve.
• To increase the reach and impact of BWW Mind’s profile and visibility through influential marketing, communications and PR in Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster.

Specific Responsibilities:

Publicity & Marketing

• Be responsible for regular social media posts relating to BLG Minds services, projects, news and events across all channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Identify local groups and organisations to align our communications with, ensuring that tagging and appropriate hashtags are used to extend our reach.
• Work closely with the Communications and business development teams to identify and communicate key news items which can be shared online and assist in the production of offline promotional materials where required.
• Support the Business Development & Engagement Officer to promote and communicate fundraising campaigns, events and new areas of focus.
• Be responsible for maintaining the BWW Mind website, creating and updating engaging content (using Wordpress)
• Produce Facebook and Google ads in line with promotional requirements of our services/projects.
• Identify and manage any issues arising on BWW Mind's social media feeds (in consultation with more senior staff as required), particularly where there is a reputational risk.
• Be involved in capturing images and video during events and activities for promotional purposes.
• Ensure that the organisation’s branding is upheld in all aspects of online communications, and that our outputs online comply with National Mind’s brand guidelines.

Communications

• Ensure that queries and comments presented through our social media channels are responded to in a timely way.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and communicate with staff and volunteers to find out more about services and projects generating news stories.
• Edit information provided by staff and partners to communicate news clearly and effectively through the various online systems.
• Work with partner organisations including local press online contacts to ensure joined up digital communications.
• With other members of the Communications team, plan and organise activities to raise awareness of BWW Mind, tying in with other notable calendar events such as Mental Health Awareness Week.
• Alongside the Communications team, ensure that staff have an awareness of corporate guidelines with regards to use of email, social media and web content.
• Through the induction process, be involved in ensuring that new staff understand the importance of communications and how they can contribute to our organisational outputs.

Monitoring, evaluation and strategic direction

• Using Google analytics and statistical information generated on the back end of the different social media platforms, extract relevant data which identifies key trends and reasons why interaction may have increased or decreased and provide this to the DoBDI monthly, and assist in the production of quarterly reports for dissemination to committees and SMT.
• Work closely with internal staff to gain an understanding of which online approaches are most effective in reaching audiences and gaining buy in.
• Create systems to ensure that as an organisation we can ascertain the impact of our communications and focus our approaches accordingly.
• Contribute to communications and marketing work plans and be involved in developing a marketing and communications strategy.

We offer our combination of home-visiting, counselling and group support to families across Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere districts. The role:
As a Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer, you will play a vital role in helping our charity manage and develop relationships with our donors, supporters and our existing key relationships, whilst identifying and creating new relationships in our local areas to garner support and promote our services.

• You will be responsible for delivering activity to maximise fundraising from our community, including schools, individuals, local businesses and community groups. You will proactively recruit, grow and nurture supporters, empowering them to manage their own fundraising activities.

What you’ll bring:Experience

• Preferable, fundraising experience of 1 year, in a community engagement or fundraising role in the charity sector.
• Demonstrable experience in building relationships within the community and with fundraisers.
• Demonstrable experience in managing your own income budget and monitoring expenditure against agreed targets. Analysis of income data, identifying trends, evaluating activity and ROI, and ensuring key learnings and insight are fed into planning and budgeting of future activity as appropriate.

About the organisation

Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. The Role

The charity is now embarking on a significant growth plan which will see a trebling in the number of beneficiaries supported (from 10,000 to 30,000 within four years).
