Income from donations from wills makes up approximately a third of our charity’s annual income. This new role will provide our charity with a dedicated member of staff to grow and develop income from this stream; strengthening relationships with pledgers, future pledgers and solicitors and other will writing service providers. The post holder will also coordinate marketing activities to promote this form of giving.
This role will also support colleagues in creating and support events to engage wider donors. We have a close-knit fundraising team and you will provide support for our community, individual giving and corporate giving teams.

Our Skilled Volunteering programme has been a core service of Link UP since its founding in 2016 and is at the heart and soul of our work. We work in all 32 boroughs and the city of London to help organisations to better address poverty, inequality, and marginalisation. We have ambitious plans to continue to deepen our connections across boroughs, reach even more organisations and volunteers, to build stronger communities by harnessing professional skills for social good.
The new Head of Skilled Volunteering will be instrumental in helping us grow our successful existing Skilled Volunteering programme and take it to the next level reaching more SGOs and skilled volunteers building new partnerships, and deepening relationships and support provided across London.
Role Details
Title: Head of Skilled Volunteering
Time Commitment: Full time role (4 days a week may also be considered)
Format: Hybrid - remote and in-person (at least 2 days in the London office (Battersea) in-person per week and ability to travel to different parts of London regularly for meetings and events)
Salary: £34,500 full time salary
Purpose: To lead and develop Link UP London’s Skilled Volunteering programme to ensure it achieves its ambitious strategic objectives as a core programme of Link UP London
Report: The Head of Skilled Volunteering will report to the CEO and oversee the existing Skilled Volunteering team including the Skilled Volunteering Manager and Officer
Role Duties & Responsibilities
Programme Management
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the Skilled Volunteering team including implementation plan, workflow and target realisation
- Oversee and build new and reliable promotional avenues to access individuals with relevant skills and charitable organisations looking for support
- Monitor and report on progress against annual targets and strategic priorities
- Review and improve the Skilled Volunteering process
- Manage coordination between Skilled Volunteering Projects and the Social Impact Solutions Corporate Skilled Volunteering programme
Relationship Development and Management
- Maintain and further develop existing relationships across London’s boroughs with partners, charitable organisations, funders, CVSs and others
- Initiate and develop new relationships with relevant organisations that are well positioned to complement and/or support Skilled Volunteering activity
- Attend events in-person and online to further build relationships
- Ensure regular communication through various avenues including mailings, phone calls and in-person meetings
- Lead workshops and trainings about skilled volunteering as required
Programme Development
- Facilitate focus groups with volunteers and organisations
- Develop and oversee a new SGO Advisory Group
- Actively engage with CEO on developing new approaches to using Skilled Volunteering to make a deeper impact within London communities
Communications, Thought Leadership and Events
- Work with the Comms team to ensure promotion is effective and targeted
- Innovate ways to get the word out to both volunteers and organisations
- Help build our voice as a thought leader in the field of Skilled Volunteering in the UK
- Write blogs and other pieces to share different aspects of Skilled Volunteering
- Coordinate, as needed, with the Events Manager to carry out Skilled Volunteering related events
Systems and Operations
- Actively oversee our CRM and ensure established processes are working efficiently
- Contribute ideas to improve effectiveness of the Skilled Volunteering process
- Continue to review and improve our data collection and analysis system
- Ensure other technology is being used and integrated as needed to support our work
- Identify and lead on implementation of new tech that can support Link UP’s growth and efficiency
Other
- Represent Link UP and our expertise in Skilled Volunteering within the communities that we work and beyond at events and forums and other gatherings (on and offline)
- Contribute to proposal development and funding requests as needed

Person Specification
Essential Skills
- 5+ years’ experience with programme management and delivery aimed at creating positive results
- Experience managing people and small teams
- Comprehensive experience with monitoring & evaluation and impact measurements and an interest in developing these further
- A love of working with people, building relationships and experience with relationship management
- A great spoken and written communicator
- Experience with, and enjoyment of, presenting to groups
- Comprehensive experience with CRM management (e.g. working with Active Campaign, Salesforce or similar platforms)
- Technically savvy with the ability to learn new technology easily

The Screen Academy Foundation fundraises for the London Screen Academy (LSA) and the East London Arts & Music (ELAM) - two free-to-attend, Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ sixth form academies for 16-19 year olds in London which, combined, are teaching just under 1200 young people every year. Fundraising for LSA and ELAM
As sixth form academies, the LSA and ELAM receive funding from the Department for Education. However, in order to provide students with world class facilities and equipment, opportunities to engage with industry, arts and culture, and services to support their mental health, the charity needs to raise an additional c. £2.2m each year to supplement the Government funding.
Philanthropy and corporate partnerships are therefore crucial to the success of the Academies. In addition to major donors and trusts & foundations, LSA has developed partnerships with corporations such as NBCUniversal, Netflix and Disney, and ELAM have relationships with Universal Music Group, UTA and PPL.
Purpose of the Role
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in fundraising and gain experience across all areas of the sector. The Fundraising Support Executive will play a critical role in supporting the smooth running of the Foundation, managing essential fundraising administration, working in partnership with the Foundation Director and Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to secure new donors, ensure excellent stewardship for existing donors and event organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Donation Management

Oversee donation processes, including sending thank you letters and monitoring bank accounts, ensuring funds are accurately recorded and allocated to specific programmes.
Fundraising & Donor Support

Assist fundraisers in planning donor and prospect visits.

Support in writing funding proposals (particularly at the £5K-30K level) and donor communications.

Help organise VIP donor events and engagement activities.
Administrative & Operational Support

Maintain and update our Raiser’s Edge CRM database, ensuring accurate and organised records.

Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is bright, organised and resourceful, with a passion for fundraising and the creative industries. The ideal candidate will have:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and confidence to write compelling donor communications.

About the Role:
As the Delivery and Volunteer Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Educational Partnerships team in London and the SE. This means you'll be supporting our work with schools that serve young people from areas with the greatest barriers to social mobility. Your mission will be to ensure YE’s programmes in London and the SE are delivered effectively and ensure our volunteers feel well supported throughout their volunteer journey with YE.
You’ll be a key member of YE’s Educational Partnerships Regional Team, collaborating closely with Educational Partnerships Managers, the Educational Partnerships Regional Manager, the Volunteering Team and National Fundraising to support the success of our enterprise and financial education programmes. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same. There is a degree of manual handling and you may be required to work some evenings and weekends. You will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders and take responsibility for several reporting and administration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Nurture Relationships: Cultivate and expand internal and external relationships that facilitate the delivery of YE’s programmes and services effectively.

Our Haig team is looking for a passionate and proactive Fundraising Officer to help grow our income and build strong corporate and commercial partnerships. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Communications team, you’ll play a key role in securing support from trusts, grants, corporates, individuals, and legacy giving. You will:
- Act as the Trust’s Fundraising Officer, responsible to the Fundraising Manager and members of the Communications team.

- Assist in raising awareness of the Charity’s fundraising activities and events using social media, the website and printed materials, including their research and updating. To contribute to the charity’s printed newsletter for its beneficiaries, and other e-newsletters.
- Assist with the department’s legacy programme.
- Assist in monitoring of and the subsequent reporting to grant providers of funding received and the impact and benefit derived, including the production of beneficiary case histories.
- Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and the Communications team lead on establishing and running a new supporter/fundraising database, for which necessary training will be provided.
- Assist the Fundraising Manager with media and PR and in ensuring the maintenance of good external liaison with the media.
- Assist the Fundraising Manager in maintaining good external liaison with other Veterans charities, including the organisation and running of events that promote the charity, incl Armed Forces Day and Armistice Day.
- Oversee the charity’s Community Fund which supports its beneficiary communities, liaising with the Fundraising Manager.
To be successful, you should also have the following:
- A degree (or equivalent).
- Extensive computer literacy with experience in MS Office and digital marketing systems, together with excellent administrative, data protection, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience in using MS SharePoint.
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising, including from trust and grant applications, corporates, legacies, events and individuals.
- Knowledge and experience of running challenge and other events.
- Marketing and communications experience including updating websites, using social media and in the production and editing of both electronic and printed publications.
- Knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising trends in particular.
- Knowledge of/experience in the British Armed Forces (or a willingness to learn).
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for fundraising and a keenness to develop and expand your knowledge and experience in this chosen career: a problem solver, able to work to tight deadlines.

About the roles

About the Investment team
The investment team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our investments in these partners and supporting them to improve and scale their impact.
The investment team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.
The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.
The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. About the Investment Manager role

Desirable
- Experience in consulting, investment management, or other in-depth grant making and capacity building work.
- Previous experience working with charities. Could be in a previous role, pro-bono volunteer or Trustee capacity.
- Experience in UK education and employability sectors
- Experience in charity impact management and/or evaluation.
- Financial acumen - financial modelling, fundraising pipeline development, review of annual accounts and assessment of financial risk.

Founded in 1685, the Royal Dragoon Guards (RDG) is an armoured cavalry regiment based in Warminster, Wiltshire The Regiment has a rich history, with strong historical roots in Ireland and Yorkshire. From the Battle of Waterloo, to firing the first and last shots of the First World War, to landing the first tanks in Normandy on D Day, to operating in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, the Regiment has always played a central role at the heart of the British Army.
We are looking for a talented individual to join the Royal Dragoon Guards as our Head of Engagement and Fundraising. In this pivotal role, you will drive engagement, communications and fundraising activity across the regimental family of around 15,000 soldiers, veterans and their families, with the aim of supporting our regimental mission and enhancing our charitable activities. About the Role
Reporting to the Regimental Secretary, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engagement, communications and fundraising strategies that resonate with serving soldiers and officers, veterans and their families, as well as with external supporters such as corporate partners, trusts, and the general public. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering strong relationships and generating income for the Regimental Charity, ensuring we meet the core objectives of our Regiment.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan tailored to our regimental family and supporters.
- Develop and use multiple communications channels including website, social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), digital newsletters, events, media, and direct communications to increase engagement and awareness.
- Create and execute a robust fundraising plan with a focus on individual giving (including legacies), major donors, trusts, and corporate partnerships.
- Build and nurture strong, systematic relationships with donors and supporters, ensuring ongoing commitment and loyalty.
- Act as the public face of the Regiment, effectively communicating our mission, impact and fundraising needs at public events, conferences, and in media engagements.
- Develop systems, processes, and policies that underpin an efficient fundraising operation, including the implementation and management of a state-of-the-art CRM system for accurate supporter data.

The Retail Partnerships Lead role plays an important part in the success of Scope’s retail offering. Providing exceptional relationship management to our existing retail partners whilst building a pipeline to securing new donors. The ideal candidate will be an experienced relationship management with a history of successfully growing and securing partnerships.
Permanent - 35 hours a week
Location: You can live anywhere in England or Wales and work at home if that suits you best. Some travel to Scope offices and services or site visits for agencies will be expected but you definitely do not have to live in London.
The role
- As Retail Partnerships Lead you will be responsible for all retail stock donation partners.
- You will act as senior key person for Scope’s headline retail partners delivering exceptional partnership account management.
- You will build a pipeline of prospective partners managing them through the sales cycle.
- You will develop retail propositions that excite our retail partners. Linking their support to Scope’s goals.
- You will work closely with both the Head of Corporate Partnerships and the Head of Retail to identify stock requirements and grow relationships with our retail partners.
